La adaptación al formato grupal fue por tanto satisfactoriaBehaviour activation has been shown to be equally effective as other well-established treatments for depression, however a brief version of the group format has not yet been implemented. In the current study it was assessed if the Behavioural Activation Therapy for Depression in group format leads to a decrease in depressive symptoms in major depressive disorder. The central idea of the therapy is to increase the number of weekly activities to accomplish the personal values of the patients. The treatment was initiated with a total of 8 outpatients. Analysis showed that between pre and post BDI scores there was a statistically significant reduction. The therapy showed a reduction of depressive symptoms in patients by means of increasing their number of weekly activities to accomplish their own personal values. The adaptation to group format was therefore satisfactor

Background: The presence of non-suicidal self-injury acts in Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is very prevalent. These behaviors are a public health concern and have become a poorly understood phenomenon in the community. It has been proposed that the commission of non-suicidal self-injury might be related to a failure in the brain network regulating executive functions. Previous studies have shown that BPD patients present an impairment in their capacity to monitor actions and conflicts associated with the performance of certain actions, which suppose an important aspect of cognitive control. Method: We used Event Related Potentials to examine the behavioral and electrophysiological indexes associated with the error monitoring in two BPD outpatients groups (17 patients each) differentiated according to the presence or absence of non-suicidal self-injury behaviors. We also examined 17 age- and intelligence- matched healthy control participants. Results: The three groups did not show significant differences in event-related potentials associated with errors (Error-Related Negativity and Pe) nor in theta power increase following errors. Conclusions: This is the first study investigating the behavioral and electrophysiological error monitoring indexes in BPD patients characterized by their history of non-suicidal self-injury behaviors. Our results show that error monitoring is preserved in BPD patients and suggest that non-suicidal self-injury acts are not related to a dysfunction in the cognitive control mechanisms

Los datos obtenidos podrían sugerir la necesidad de mejorar la difusión de los tratamientos psicológicos basados en la evidencia, especialmente en la atención primaria de saludThe mental health problems are one of the most important causes of morbidity in the World, and suppose a source of high economic and societal costs. The primary health care plays an important role in their detection and treatment. This study aims to analyze the indication of psychological treatments which were made by the general practitioners. The data presented in the written solicitude was analyzed (n=322). A discrepancy in the need to realize a psychological treatment, and the absence of concordance between diagnoses (family doctor vs. psychologist), were the major findings.
