    The change of land type is to increase the land-use type in one sector followed to other sectors by the reduction of land types. By the other word, the land-use change is the change of land function in a particular period of time, as such the changes of agricultural land that used for non-agricultural land. The aim of this study is to investigate and analyze the conditions of farming business society in Kemuning Muda Village of Bunga Raya sub-district in Siak Regency as well as to investigate and analyze the factors that affect farmers to make the conversion of the paddy land to oil palm land in Kemuning Muda Village of Bunga Raya sub-district in Siak Regency. This study is expected to be as inputs and sources of thought for other studies in deeper investigation of the land conversion issues. This study was occurring at the beginning to end of January. The quantitative descriptive study methodology was employed to find out and describe the particular social phenomenon and attempt to analyze it appropriately with the fact based on collecting data. The types of data used were primary and secondary data. The data collection techniques were using questionnaires and documentation. Descriptive quantitative methods was used for data analysis, first the authors frame the data into a table and then briefed and analyzed descriptively. These characters differentiate the type of farmer behavior in certain circumstances. Characteristics observed in this study were age, education, the number of dependents, employment, land area, income. The factors influencing farmers to conversion of land-use were social change in the farmer groups community wherein bring the change of social and economic conditions around him both internally and externally.     FDM preparation of bio-compatible UHMWPE polymer for artificial implant

    Due to its properties of high wear, creep resistance, high stiffness and strength, Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) was developed to eliminate most metallic wear in artificial implant, which conventionally found in stainless steel, Cobalt Chromium (Co-Cr) and Titanium (Ti) alloys. UHMWPE has an ultra-high viscosity that renders continuous melt-state processes including one of the additive manufacturing processes, Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) ineffective for making UHMWPE implant. Attempt to overcome this problem and adapting this material to FDM is by blending UHMWPE with other polyethylene including High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Polyethylene-Glycol (PEG) which provide adequate mechanical properties for biomedical application along with the improvement in extrudability. It was demonstrated that the inclusion of 60% HDPE fraction has improved the flowability of UHMWPE in MFI test and showing adequate thermal stability in TGA

    AC voltage regulation of a bidirectional high-frequency link converter using a deadbeat controller

    This paper presents a digital controller for AC voltage regulation of a bidirectional high-frequency link (BHFL) inverter using Deadbeat control. The proposed controller consists of inner current loop, outer voltage loop and a feed-forward controller, which imposes a gain scheduling effect according to the reference signal to compensate the steady-state error of the system. The main property of the proposed controller is that the current- and the voltage-loop controllers have the same structure, and use the same sampling period. This simplifies the design and implementation processes. To improve the overall performance of the system, additional disturbance decoupling networks are employed. This takes into account the model discretization effect. Therefore, accurate disturbance decoupling can be achieved, and the system robustness towards load variations is increased. To avoid transformer saturation due to low frequency voltage envelopes, an equalized pulse width modulation (PWM) technique has been introduced. The proposed controller has been realized using the DS1104 digital signal processor (DSP) from dSPACE. Its performances have been tested on a one kVA prototype inverter. Experimental results showed that the proposed controller has very fast dynamic and good steady-state responses even under highly nonlinear loads

    Ff-IR Spectroscopic Studies on Lignin from Some Tropical Woods and Rattan

    Klason lignin of four different types of tropical hardwoods and rattan was studied using rT-IR spectroscopy. There were observable differences in the rT-IR spectra of the lignin studied. Lignin from the more durable and more resistant wood were found to contain less guaiacyl groups than that from the softer and less resistant wood. 77re strength and resistance of the wood might be related to its lignin content

    Dengan menonjolkan perbedaan dan keunikan produk, dapat menarik konsumen untuk membeli produk smartphone. Namun tidak berarti kegiatan usaha tidak diperhadapkan dengan masalah yang dihadapi pengguna mereka membeli smartphone yang diminati selalu tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan kriteria konsumen dikarnakan dana yang dimiliki tidak cukup dan tidak tau kapasitas yang pengguna butuhkan. Uji secara parsial angka pengaruh kreativitas pelaku usaha (X1) sebesar 0,623 dengan nilai signifikan 0,004 0,05. Angka t hitung 5,591 t tabel 1,66196. Dengan demikian dinyatakan bahwa kreativitas pelaku usaha berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian smartphone di Wilayah Kabupaten Mamuju, dengan demikian hipotesis penelitian diterima. Angka pengaruh sosial media (X2) sebesar 0,713 dengan nilai signifikan 0,000 0,05. Angka t hitung 7,753 t tabel 1,66196. Dengan demikian dinyatakan bahwa media sosail berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian smartphone di Wilayah Kabupaten Mamuju, dengan demikian hipotesis penelitian diterima. Inovasi kemajuan teknologi (X3) sebesar 0,451 dengan nilai signifikan 0,004 0,05. Angka t hitung 5,224 t tabel 1,66196. Dengan demikian dinyatakan bahwa kreativitas pelaku usaha berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian smartphone di Wilayah Kabupaten Mamuju, dengan demikian hipotesis penelitian diterima. Uji secara simultan kreativitas pelaku usaha, sosial media dan inovasi kemajuan teknologi secara bersama-sama atau serempak memiliki nilai F hitung sebesar 16,117 dengan tingkat signifikan 0,000, sedangkan nilai F tabel (df1 = 3 dan df 2 = 91, sig (0,05) diperoleh nilai sebesar 2,70

    Environmental Literacy Mapping Based on Adiwiyata and Non Adiwiyata at Junior High School in Ponorogo

    This research is used to find out the effectiveness of adiwiyata program between national, provincial, district and non-adiwiyata schools on environmental literacy based on age and gender. The research was conducted at junior high school Ponorogo in march-october 2017. Type of research is ex post facto. Sampling technique used is Proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The assessment used the Middle School Environmental Literacy Survey (MSELS) standard supported by observational data. The results of validity and reliability test on MSELI are valid and reliable. The results show that the adiwiyata program in ponorogo as a whole is related to the increase of environmental literacy with the sig value. 0.000. The higher the adiwiyata level, the higher the literacy value of the environment. Ability of environmental literacy among junior high school students between the ages of 13, 14, and 15 years or more is not different, with sig value. 0.308. The literacy ability of junior high school students environment between male and female sex is different, with the sig value. 0.004. For general environmental literacy assessment in ponorogo is still low that more than 51% of respondents did not reach the score at level 3 which is the standard level of environmental literacy.     Pengaruh budaya kerja, disiplin dan motivasi terhadap produktivitas kerja pegawai

    Pegawai merupakan faktor sentral yang menggerakkan dinamika organisasi. Sarana dan prasarana yang dimiliki organisasi dinamis, apabila dikelola secara baik oleh pegawai yang memiliki kualitas kerja yang tinggi. Secara konkrit individu pegawai yang berprestasi membawa keuntungan dan kemajuan organisasi. budaya kerja dan disiplin pegawai, motivasi menjadi perhatian dalam memberikan dorongan pegawai untuk melakukan aktifitas-aktifitas organisasi. Motivasi seringkali diartikan sebagai factor pendorong dalam membentuk perilaku pegawai, motivasi dapat memacu pegawai untuk bekerja keras sehingga dapat meningkatkan produktivitas kerja pegawai dan akan berkontribusi secara langsung pada peningkatan kinerja pegawai.  Budaya kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap produktivitas kerja pegawai dengan nilai signifikan 0,012 0,05  dan nilai thitung nilai ttabel yaitu 2,612 1.67469. Disiplin berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap produktivitas kerja pegawai dengan nilai signifikan 0,029 0,05 dan nilai thitung nilai ttabel yaitu 2,239 1.67469. Motivasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap produktivitas kerja pegawai dengan nilai signifikan 0,000 0,05 dan nilai thitung nilai ttabel yaitu 5,232 1.67469. Variabel motivasi yang paling dominan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap produktivitas kerja pegawai pada kantor Dinas Tanaman Pangan Hortikultura dan Peternakan Provinsi Sulawesi Barat, dengan nilai koefesien beta paling tinggi yaitu 0,591 dan nilai signifikan paling kecil yaitu 0,00

    Application of Machine Learning in Malaysia Sign Language Translation

    Sign language serves as a vital form of communication for individuals with hearing impairments, enabling seamless interaction among those who cannot hear. It is a widely used means of communication worldwide, facilitating communication within the deaf community. In Malaysia, Malaysian Sign Language (MySL) prevails as the primary sign language employed by the deaf community. However, sign languages possess unique grammatical rules and structures, making them unfamiliar to hearing individuals, leading to potential misunderstandings and communication barriers. This project aimed at developing a sign language translator capable of translating 24 alphabets based on hand gestures. The system employs a dataset of sign language alphabet images, gathered and trained using the Teachable Machine. To evaluate the translator's performance, response time is thoroughly analyzed. The results indicate that 18 out of the 24 alphabets can be recognized within 5 seconds, displaying promising accuracy. By bridging the communication gap between deaf and hearing individuals, the findings of this study hold substantial potential to enhance interactions and foster better understanding between these two communities. The sign language translator represents a significant step towards inclusive communication and improved accessibility for individuals with hearing impairment
