    SmartPM: An Adaptive Process Management System for Executing Processes in Cyber-Physical Domains

    Nowadays, the automation of business processes not only spans classical business domains (e.g., banks and governmental agencies), but also new settings such as healthcare, smart manufacturing, domotics and emergency management [2]. Such domains are characterized by the presence of a Cyber-Physical System (CPS) coordinating heterogeneous ICT components with a large variety of architectures, sensors, actuators, computing and communication capabilities, and involving real world entities that perform complex tasks in the "physical" real world to achieve a common goal. In this context, Process Management Systems (PMSs) are used to manage the life cycle of the processes that coordinate the services offered by the CPS to the real world entities, on the basis of the contextual information collected from the specific cyber-physical domain of interest. The physical world, however, is not entirely predictable. CPSs do not necessarily and always operate in a controlled environment, and their processes must be robust to unexpected conditions and adaptable to exceptions and external exogenous events. In this paper, we tackle the above issue by introducing the SmartPM System (http://www.dis.uniroma1.it/smartpm) an adaptive PMS which combines process execution monitoring, unanticipated exception detection (without requiring an explicit definition of exception handlers), and automated resolution strategies on the basis of well-established Artificial Intelligence techniques, including the Situation Calculus and IndiGolog [1], and classical planning [3]

    Proses absensi yang di lakukan secara manual di nilai kurang efektif karena terbukanya nya kesempatan melakukan kecurangan. Dan juga proses rekapitulasi secara manual memutuhkan waktu yang lama. Sistem yang absensi dengan teknologi dapat di terapkan untuk membantu merekapitulasi yang lebih efektif. Pada penelitian ini teknologi yang di gunakan adalah sistem absensi berbasis wajah. Pembuatan aplikasi ini menggunakan metode haar cascade pada OpenCV untuk melakukan pengenalan wajah dan mendeteksi wajah pada saat melakukan absensi. Haar cascade classifier atau yang dikenal dengan nama lain haar-like features merupakan rectangular features (fungsi persegi), yang memberikan indikasi secara spesifik pada sebuah gambar atau image. Sedangkan data-data yang di butuhkan oleh sistem sendiri adalah data absensi, data aplikasi, data admin, data pagawai dan data jadwal dan data set wajah yang di simpan dalam database. Hasil dari aplikasi yang di bagun dapat dapat mengenali wajah dengan tingkat akurasi 93%. Dan pengguna juga mengelola data-data pada sistem dan perekapan data absensi. Proses absensi pegawai berhasil di lakukan pada kondisi pencahayaan yang bagus

    The Effectiveness of Academic Supervision for Teachers

    This research was conducted with the purpose of describing the general effectiveness of the academic supervision for teachers with three main focus, which is to analyze the competence of supervisors; academic supervision program implementation and the results and impact of academic supervision. The research location is SMU Maria Mediatrix Ambon, Maluku province, Indonesia. The subjects were Principal and 9 regular teachers who teach in high school Mediatrix Ambon. Data collection instrument of this study is the researchers themselves are supported with interview guides. Techniques of data collection is done by participant observation, interviews and documentation study. Data was analyzed using descriptive and analytical analysis techniques. The results showed that the supervisors do not yet have sufficient competence as a prerequisite for implementing the academic supervision; academic supervision has not been done effectively explored from two sources: First, from the supervisor; 1) the time constraints (many administrative tasks that must be completed); 2) has not been programmed in a participatory manner; 3) a lack of understanding of the supervisor of the concept, theory and practice of supervision; 4) lack of understanding of the scientific supervisor of substance related to the field of study is taught by each teacher.     Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran Informatika Dikelas X.3 SMK Kristen BM Salatiga

    The aim of the research is to describe the application of the PjBL model in the class X OTKP informatics subject at BM Christian Vocational School Salatiga and analyze the influence of the PjBL model on learning outcomes in the class The design uses one group pretest-posttest. The measuring instrument used is a multiple choice test with 20 questions and a student response questionnaire with 10 statements. The sample for this research was 15 students in class X-3 OTKP Christian Vocational School BM Salatiga. Data analysis techniques include analysis: validity test, reliability test, normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test. From the results of the questionnaire, the level of student interest in using the Project Based Learning (PJBL) Learning Model for Learning Outcomes was 87 percent. And for the Questionnaire, the motivation to learn using the Project Based Learning (PJBL) Learning Model for Learning Outcomes was 80 percent. It was concluded that the Project Based Learning (PJBL) Learning Model on Learning Outcomes can increase interest and motivation to learn. There is an influence of the Project Based Learning Model to Improve Student Learning Outcomes in Informatics Subjects in class X.3 Christian Vocational School Bm Salatiga. The Independent T-Test test results obtained a significance value of 0.00 <0.05, which means that H0 is rejected, H1 is accepted.Tujuan penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model PjBL pada mata pelajaran informatika kelas X OTKP di SMK Kristen BM Salatiga dan menganalisis pengaruh model PjBL terhadap hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran informatika kelas X OTKP di SMK Kristen BM Salatiga.Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini disebut pre-eksperimental design menggunakan one group pretest-posttest. alat ukur yang digunakan tes pilihan berganda dengan 20 pertanyaan dan angket tanggapan siswa 10 pernyataan.Sampel penelitian ini adalah 15 siswa kelas X-3 OTKP SMK Kristen BM salatiga.Teknik analisis data meliputi: analisis uji validitas, uji reliabilitas,uji normalitas,uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis.Dari hasil angket tingkat ketertarikan siswa menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PJBL) Terhadap Hasil Belajar sebesar 87 persen Dan untuk Angket dari motivasi belajar menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PJBL) Terhadap Hasil Belajar diperoleh 80 persen. Disimpulkan bahwa Model Pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PJBL) Terhadap Hasil Belajar dapat meningkatkan ketertarikan dan motivasi belajar, Terdapat Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran Informatika dikelas X.3 Smk Kristen Bm Salatiga.     Summative peer assessment using ‘Turnitin’ and a large cohort of students: a case study

    At the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam, the use of peer assessment is increasingly being considered by lecturers that want to give their traditional lecture-based courses a more active learning component. Prins et al. (2005) point out that peer assessment can be very well integrated in such courses and research shows that formative peer assessment results in an increased understanding of the learning content, the development of assessment skills and a reflection on one’s own learning performance (Hamer, Kwong et al. 2005; Prins, Sluijsmans et al. 2005). However, the validity and reliability of peer-generated marks is still under debate (Cho and Schunn 2003). In order to support peer assessment in courses with large cohorts of students, computer support can be regarded as a necessity to manage the whole process of assignment submission and grading. This paper describes a case study on the use of a commercial peer assessment application for summative peer assessment. It describes the course set up, the use of the software and use of the generated marks for summative purposes. The study shows that the system is easy to use for both instructors and students and that it can support large cohorts of students despite some technical problems. The students are very positive about the benefits of peer assessment for their own learning, but they have a low confidence in peer assessment for summative purposes, despite considerable efforts to motivate the students and to build in measures to increase the grade reliability and validity

    PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN SISWA MEMAHAMI ISI CERITA MELALUI METODE DISKUSI SISWA KELAS IV SDN NO. 2 TIBO KEC. SINDUE TOMBUSABORA

    Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah kemampuan memahami cerita dapat ditingkatkan melalui metode diskusi siswa kelas IV SDN No. 2 Tibo Kec. Sindue Tombusabora. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa memahami isi cerita melalui metode diskusi di kelas IV SDN No. 2 Tibo Kec. Sindue Tombusabora yang berjumlah 35 orang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang direncanakan dalam dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari beberapa tahap yaitu: a) Perencanaan, b) Pelaksanaan tindakan, c) Observasi d) Refleksi. Hasil penelitian pada siklus I didapatkan ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar 71%, aktivitas guru berada pada kategori cukup yaitu dengan rata-rata persentase aktivitas guru 75% dan aktivitas siswa berada pada kategori cukup yaitu dengan rata-rata persentase aktivitas siswa 72%. Pada siklus II ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar 86%, aktivitas guru berada pada kategori sangat baik yaitu 97%, dan aktivitas siswa berada pada kategori sangat baik yaitu 96%. Berdasarkan indikator keberhasilan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Kemampuan siswa memahami isi cerita meningkat dengan menggunakan metode diskusi.  Kepada tenaga pendidik (guru) kiranya dapat memilih metode diskusi dalam kegiatan pembelajaran sebagai alternatif yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa khususnya dalam memahami isi cerita.
