In the present work we solve the axially symmetric problem of a half-space under thermal loading. The statement of the problem includes: Cauchy relations, equations of motion, heat conduction equation, initial conditions, thermal and mechanical boundary conditions. The thermomechanical behavior of an isotropic material is described by the Bodner–Partom unified model of flow generalized in the case of microstructure influence on inelastic characteristics of steel. To determine the parameters of the model corresponded to yield stress and yield strength the mixture rule is utilized. The problem is solved with using the finite element technique. The numerical realization of our problem is performed with the help of step-by-step time integration. Equations of the evolution for the inelastic flow model are integrated by the second-order Euler implicit method. The equations of motion are integrated by the Newmark method, whereas the heat-conduction equation is integrated by the first-order implicit method. We use quadrangular isoparametric elements. The parameters of a fine grid are chosen with the help of the criterion of practical convergence of the solutions. The stress state taking into account linear and nonlinear rules of mixtures is described. Spin-density-wave instabilities in the organic conductor (TMTSF)_2ClO_4: Role of anion ordering

We study the spin-density-wave instabilities in the quasi-one-dimensional conductor (TMTSF)_2ClO_4. The orientational order of the anions ClO_4 doubles the unit cell and leads to the presence of two electrnic bands at the Fermi level. From the Ginzburg-Landau expansion of the free energy, we determine the low-temperature phase diagram as a function of the strength of the Coulomb potential due to the anions. Upon increasing the anion potential, we first find a SDW phase corresponding to an interband pairing. This SDW phase is rapidly supressed, the metallic phase being then stable down to zero temperature. The SDW instability is restored when the anion potential becomes of the order of the hopping amplitude. The metal-SDW transition corresponds to an intraband pairing which leaves half of the Fermi surface metallic. At lower temperature, a second transition, corresponding to the other intraband pairing, takes place and opens a gap on the whole Fermi surface. We discuss the consequences of our results for the experimental phase diagram of (TMTSF)_2ClO_4 at high magnetic field.Comment: 13 pages, 10 figures, Version 2 with minor correction

Second virial coefficients of light nuclear clusters and their chemical freeze-out in nuclear collisions

Here we develop a new strategy to analyze the chemical freeze-out of light (anti)nuclei produced in high energy collisions of heavy atomic nuclei within an advanced version of the hadron resonance gas model. It is based on two different, but complementary approaches to model the hard-core repulsion between the light nuclei and hadrons. The first approach is based on an approximate treatment of the equivalent hard-core radius of a roomy nuclear cluster and pions, while the second approach is rigorously derived here using a self-consistent treatment of classical excluded volumes of light (anti)nuclei and hadrons. By construction, in a hadronic medium dominated by pions, both approaches should give the same results. Employing this strategy to the analysis of hadronic and light (anti)nuclei multiplicities measured by ALICE at sNN=2.76\sqrt{s_{NN}} =2.76 TeV and by STAR at sNN=200\sqrt{s_{NN}} =200 GeV, we got rid of the existing ambiguity in the description of light (anti)nuclei data and determined the chemical freeze-out parameters of nuclei with high accuracy and confidence. At ALICE energy the nuclei are frozen prior to the hadrons at the temperature T=175.13.9+2.3T = 175.1^{+2.3}_{-3.9} MeV, while at STAR energy there is a single freeze-out of hadrons and nuclei at the temperature T=167.2±3.9T = 167.2 \pm 3.9 MeV. We argue that the found chemical freeze-out volumes of nuclei can be considered as the volumes of quark-gluon bags that produce the nuclei at the moment of hadronization.Comment: 15 pages, 4 figures, 3 table

Magnetoresistance of YBa2Cu3O7 in the "cold spots" model

We calculate the in-plane magnetoresistance Δρxx/ρxx\Delta\rho_{xx}/\rho_{xx} of YBa2_2Cu3_3O7_7 in a magnetic field applied perpendicular to the CuO2CuO_2 planes for the ``cold spots'' model. In this model, the electron relaxation time τ21/T2\tau_2\propto1/T^2 at small regions on the Fermi surface near the Brillouin zone diagonals is much longer than the relaxation time τ11/T\tau_1\propto1/T at the rest of the Fermi surface (TT is temperature). In qualitative agreement with the experiment, we find that Kohler's rule is strongly violated, but the ratio Δρxx/ρxxtan2θH\Delta\rho_{xx}/\rho_{xx}\tan^2\theta_H, where tanθH\tan\theta_H is the Hall angle, is approximately temperature-independent. We find the ratio is about 5.5, which is of the same order of magnitude as in the experiment.Comment: RevTeX, 4 pages, 6 figures. V.2: 2 references adde

Department of Phthisiology, Pulmonology and Allergology, N. I. Pirogov National Medical University of Vinnitsa, Ukraine, Department of Otorhinolaryngology, National Medical University of Odessa, Ukraine, Department of Otorhinolaryngology, National Medical University of Kharkiv, UkraineThe article describes the present state of allergology service in the Ukraine: detection, investigation and treatment of allergic diseases as well as negative and positive aspects of the management of the service. The authors particularly point out the shortage of allergists and the fact that a large number of patients are examined and treated by general practitioners, otorhinolaryngologists and dermatologists what does not comply with the standards of diagnostics and treatment. The authors pay great attention to newly developed diagnostic methods of treatment of allergic diseases that currently do not have direct analogues in the world. These methods are the following: arranging screening for allergic diseases using plastic compact-lancet kits for prick tests preliminary filled with allergen mix and specific peroral immunotherapy of allergic diseases by means of allergen mix incorporated in sugar dragees. The new methods have proved to be efficient by experimental and clinical trials. Due to the active work of the allergists and “Ukrainian association of allergists” the number of patients using skin allergic tests has substantially increased and nearly 20 thousand patients are treated by allergen-specific immunotherapy

Antiferromagnetic Interactions and the Superconducting Gap Function

Spin-fluctuation-mediated superconductivity is conventionally associated with d_{x^2-y^2} pairing. We show that a generalized model of antiferromagnetic spin fluctuations in three dimensions may also yield a state with formal ``s-wave'' (A_{1g}) symmetry but with line nodes at k_z \approx \pm \pi / 2c. We study this new state within both BCS and Eliashberg theories using a realistic band structure and find that it is more stable than the d_{x^2-y^2} (B_{1g}) state over a wide range of parameters. Thus, models of spin-fluctuation-mediated superconductivity must consider both possibilities on an equal footing.Comment: 4 pages, RevTeX with psfig, 2 PostScript figures included in compressed form, one color PostScript figure available by request to [email protected] or [email protected].
