Pengaruh Pasta Ekstrak Daun Sukun (ArtocarpusAltilis) Terhadap Perubahan Sel Fibroblas Dan Jaringan Kolagen Pada Periodontitis
This Study aims to find out the effect of topical paste of daun sukun's extract towards Fibroblast cell and Collagen tissues. These have important roles in Periodontitis healing's process. This Study was laboratory experimental. The subjects were 12 Wistar mice which were made Periodontitis by injecting Aa bacteria 108 mg/ml on cervical 11 in three weeks. Devided into 2 groups, the first was given Sukun extracts topically and the second was given nothing. Serial decapitation on day 3,7,10 and 14 was administered on each group and their gingiva were examined with HE paint. The result showed paste of Sukun leaves extract impact signifficantly toward Fibroblast cell (Sig.0.032) but not on Collagen tissues (Sig. 0.837). The fibroblast cell were going up on the seventh day as well as the thickness of Collagen tissues. Periodontits healing is marked by the increase of fibroblast cell and the tickness of Collagen. It is suggested to make the product in gel

EFEKTIFITAS LARUTAN KULIT BUAH NAGA MERAH (HYLOCEREUS POLYRHIZUS) TERHADAP JUMLAH KOLONI BAKTERI DI SALIVA
TITLEThe effectiveness of red dragon fruit rind solution (Hylocereus polyrhizus) to bacteria colony in salivaABSTRACTHylocereus polyrhizus or red dragon fruit is a tradisional herb. 30-35% red dragon fruit is a rind often discarded. Rind of dragon fruit is contains natural pigments and antioxidant that are beneficial to dental health. In saliva are many types of bacteria, which can lead to harmful in the mouth Aims to determine the effect of the red dragon fruit peel extract to colonies of bacteria in saliva.Method is true experiment, design is a pre and post test design. Subjects were saliva with a red dragon fruit peel extract concentration of 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% with 3 repetitions. Dragon fruit peel extract obtained by pulverized and then filtered. This type of research is analytic, statistical the Wilcoxon test. Confidence level 95% of p value 0.05. Implementation of research in the Laboratory of Microbiology Dental Health of Nursing Departmens, Politecnique  of Health Kemenkes Semarang. Results the effectiveness of the solution concentration red dragon fruit peel extract of colonies bacteria was found at a concentration of 100% (p 0.05), and the lowest concentration of 25% (p 0.05). The active ingredient is a flavonoid. Antifungal and antibacterial effect produced by the red dragon fruit to contain several flavonoids, phenols, Vitamin C, Protein, carbohydrates and antioxidants. This compounds the red dragon fruit is a red and purple on this fruit. Suggestions for further research to be separation of flavonoids contained in the fruit. And for further research on the types of bacteria that effectively eliminated the fruit. Keywords : Rind hylocereus polyrhizus, saliva, bacteria
Mangosteen Rind towards Mechanical Trauma Recovery in the Oral Cavity (in vivo)
Aim of this study was to determine the effect of the application of paste of mangosteen rind to measure the diameter of ulcers due to scratches (mechanical trauma). This type of research is experimental (in vivo), the research design of the pre-post test control group design. The population is Male Wistar rats using a completely randomized block sampling, there are 2 (two) groups, respectively 6 (six) tails, the total animal is 12, where 1 (one) treatment group were oiled paste mangosteen rind and another group was smeared PVP. The results showed there is effect of the application of paste of mangosteen rind towards mechanical trauma recovery, diameter of the ulcer which gradually shrinking on day 3, 7th and ulcers experience healing on day 10. Need further research on the effect of the application of paste of mangosteen rind against oral mucosal ulcer healing pathologically
