Role of interface charges on high-k based poly-Si and aetal gate nano-scale MOSFETs

    Get PDF
The characteristics of typical sub-100 nm high K gate dielectrics MOSFET with different gate materials are simulated by two dimensional device simulators (ATLAS and ATHENA). The impact of interface charges on the characteristics of Poly-Si and TiN metal gate MOSFETs are investigated. The simulation results shows that, at high interface charge densities, the devices with Poly-Si gate degrade much compared to metal gate MOSFET structures. Emphasis is given to study the mobility degradation which stands as a major hurdle with the implementation of high-k dielectrics in nano-scale devices. The advantages of using Watt model over other models for the extraction of channel mobility is also clearly explained. The performance of the high-k MOSFET with metal electrode and poly-silicon electrode is also compared for various interface state charges. An experiment was conducted to study the effect of different feeds on growth survival and production of African catfish (C. gariepinus) in six cemented tanks (3m² each) over a period of 120 days. Three different feeds namely Feed A (Saudi-Bangla fish feed, 33.43% protein), Feed B (formulated feed, 40.12% protein) and Feed C (chicken raw intestine, 59.58% protein) were applied to treatments I, II and III respectively. Each of the tanks was stocked with 24 fry with mean initial body weight of 2.56±0.06 g. Feeds were supplied to the fish ad-libitum daily in two instalments. Significantly highest weight gain was obtained in treatment III, however, survival rate was low compared to other treatments. The feed conversion ratio (FCR) values ranged from 2.52-6.4. Survival rate of fish varied between 83 and 96%. Treatment II yielded the highest (5000 kg/ha/120 days) production with the highest survival rate of fish. On the basis of survival rate and production, it is suggested that the formulated feed (Feed B) is suitable for the culture of C. gariepinus in cemented tanks

Perceived Significance of Improved Patient Data and Healthcare Services in the Formation of Inter-organizational Healthcare IT Governance

Part 2: Digital SocietyInternational audienceIT is seen as the means to develop healthcare and social welfare services for citizens and to improve the quality of medical and social welfare data. This is deemed to require better IT cooperation between organizations. My research investigates the formation of voluntary inter-organizational IT governance in healthcare and social welfare IT engaging over 100 organizations. Attention is placed especially on the perceived benefits of IT governance. Results suggest that concrete benefits are necessary for the formation of inter-organizational IT governance arrangements. The anticipated benefits of patient data improvement and short-term benefits were evaluated more important than the expected long-term improvements of healthcare and social welfare reforms
