    Prayer (Solat) is an act of worship that is a pillar of Islam. It is an obligation for a Muslim that must be performed. Many verses of the Qur'an and hadith emphasize the importance of educating prayer from an early age. The learning of prayer is learned starting at the pre-school level and usually using the face-to-face method. However, at this time with the diversity of the latest technology and the experience of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, a learning method that is more innovative and can be implemented independently is very desirable to be implemented. This also gives a new breath to the teaching and learning of prayer. This paper would like to discuss the development of the Adik-Adik Solat M-Learning Application. The ADDIE methodology is used in the application development cycle process. To identify the level of acceptance of the application as well as to know the characteristics of the application that contribute to the improvement of the learning experience, a survey was conducted on a group of school students. The application of learning methods that emphasize visual, audio, and kinesthetic (VAK) approaches was identified to provide an enhancement to the learning experience. This application has great potential to be commercialized and expanded to other fields in the future

    This study seeks to reveal that sirri marriages, which are usually secret, in the Banjar community are carried out openly and are carried out by walimah 'ursy (wedding ceremonies). In contrast to other studies, most of them only discuss the law of unregistered marriage and its legality in Indonesia. This study tends to pay more attention to aspects of habits and shifts in the meaning of the sirri marriage. The method used in this study is empirical with an ethnographic-phenomenological approach to the celebration of sirri marriages in the Banjar community, South Kalimantan. The results of this study prove that the legality of sirri marriages is illegal in Indonesia State because it is not recorded at the Office of Religious Affairs. However, aspects of the habit of unregistered marriages and holding wedding celebrations in the Banjar community,  make sirri marriages "as if" they have legal rights in society based on social norms

    Musafir (مسافر) is a word in Arabic meaning ‘traveler’ which refers to a person who is on a long journey. According to Quran Verse 6:11 “Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who rejected it.”. This verse encourages Muslims to travel while observing what is the end for the people who lie to Allah SWT. Even if a person is on a journey, in Islam prayer is obligatory and a person must perform religious obligation. Therefore, Allah SWT has given privileges to Muslims while traveling to perform prayers. Since this way of praying is rarely performed, people who travel must have a reference before performing this prayer, and most references nowadays are in the form of non-interactive documents and are difficult to carry anywhere. Therefore, this project aims to develop a mobile application for Muslim travelers which will guide them to perform prayers with privilege. We are using the incremental model methodology to develop this project. In addition, the application will also provide several important features for Muslims to use such as tasbih, Qasar, and Jamaq prayer guidance, Hadith, and prayer times. A selected group of people a chosen to confirm the project's usability. At the end of the research, we found that this project is successfully helping Muslim travelers to perform prayers whether it is in Qasar or Jamaq prayer states. In conclusion, the effectiveness of this application is likely to be extended into the study of other topic areas

    Kiddo disleksia mobile application: a dyslexia screen tool in Malay language

    Identification of potential dyslexic among Malaysia student is crucial to ensure earlier intervention is given. Current practice in the Malaysian school system, screening test has been given based on teacher’s observation and intervention. The low number of student enrol in special education indicate this task is difficult. It is due to untrained and lack of awareness regarding dyslexia among Malaysia teacher. Therefore, the easy, simple and accurate screen test tool are required. Kiddo Disleksia, a dyslexia screening tool based on mobile application has been designed and developed. The application exploits the uses of text, video, audio and graphic in multimedia to screen student with dyslexia based on visual and auditory. Kiddo Disleksia is developed by using Malay language as it’s specifically develops for student in earlier learning to recognize and distinguish the alphabet. Besides, this application able to use as learning tool for dyslexia student to identify alphabet letter and phonic (alphabet sound). The mobile gamed based approach is used to screen the student with fun and innovative way. A usability study has been conducted towards 20 dyslexia students and result shows 85% of respondent feel the application able to help them learn easier. They agree that Kiddo Disleksia able to screen the dyslexia student with fun and easy way

    Socializing One Health: an innovative strategy to investigate social and behavioral risks of emerging viral threats

    In an effort to strengthen global capacity to prevent, detect, and control infectious diseases in animals and people, the United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Emerging Pandemic Threats (EPT) PREDICT project funded development of regional, national, and local One Health capacities for early disease detection, rapid response, disease control, and risk reduction. From the outset, the EPT approach was inclusive of social science research methods designed to understand the contexts and behaviors of communities living and working at human-animal-environment interfaces considered high-risk for virus emergence. Using qualitative and quantitative approaches, PREDICT behavioral research aimed to identify and assess a range of socio-cultural behaviors that could be influential in zoonotic disease emergence, amplification, and transmission. This broad approach to behavioral risk characterization enabled us to identify and characterize human activities that could be linked to the transmission dynamics of new and emerging viruses. This paper provides a discussion of implementation of a social science approach within a zoonotic surveillance framework. We conducted in-depth ethnographic interviews and focus groups to better understand the individual- and community-level knowledge, attitudes, and practices that potentially put participants at risk for zoonotic disease transmission from the animals they live and work with, across 6 interface domains. When we asked highly-exposed individuals (ie. bushmeat hunters, wildlife or guano farmers) about the risk they perceived in their occupational activities, most did not perceive it to be risky, whether because it was normalized by years (or generations) of doing such an activity, or due to lack of information about potential risks. Integrating the social sciences allows investigations of the specific human activities that are hypothesized to drive disease emergence, amplification, and transmission, in order to better substantiate behavioral disease drivers, along with the social dimensions of infection and transmission dynamics. Understanding these dynamics is critical to achieving health security--the protection from threats to health-- which requires investments in both collective and individual health security. Involving behavioral sciences into zoonotic disease surveillance allowed us to push toward fuller community integration and engagement and toward dialogue and implementation of recommendations for disease prevention and improved health security

    Sejak Malaysia dan seluruh dunia terkesan dengan pandemik COVID 19, semuanya kini terarah kepada bagaimana untuk melaksanakan pengajaran dan pembelajaran dari rumah (PdPR) secara efektif bagi kelangsungan pendidikan. Pastinya pendidikan sangat penting dalam menjamin masa depan rakyat dan negara. Konsep pembelajaran secara mobil (M-Learning) adalah kaedah pembelajaran yang kini menjadi arus perdana kerana diyakini melalui kaedah ini proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran akan dapat dilaksanakan di mana-mana pada bila-bila masa. Namun demikian, berbeza dengan kaedah konvensional terdapat persoalan dalam menggunakan kaedah M-Learning samada keterlibatan pelajar dalam pembelajaran (learning engagement) dan pengalaman pembelajaran (learning experience) akan lebih meningkat atau sebaliknya. Bagi pembelajaran yang melibatkan topik-topik keagaaman pada lazimnya pembelajaran konvensional diadakan secara bersemuka dengan guru (talaqqi). Oleh itu, cabarannya pasti lebih tinggi untuk melihat kejayaan M-Learning dalam topik-topik tersebut. Justeru itu, artikel kajian ini akan membincangkan isu ini dan cuba mengaplikasikannya dalam topik pembelajaraan kaligrafi Jawi. Topik ini sangat penting kerana pemahaman dalam kaligrafi Jawi akan mendorong kepada kebolehan pelajar dalam membaca Jawi sekaligus membaca Al Quran. Sejarah telah membuktikan perkembangan kaligrafi Jawi seiring dengan perkembangan Islam di Nusantara. Ianya adalah akar kepada jatidiri bangsa yang harus dipertahankan dan dikekalkan. Justeru sangat penting kaligrafi Jawi diberikan nafas baru dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Seterusnya, artikel kajian ini akan membincangkan berkenaan proses pembangunan M-Learning, elemen-elemen penting dalam aplikasi yang mampu menyumbang kepada peningkatan pengalaman pembelajaran pelajar serta hasil ujilari yang dilakukan terhadap para pelajar yang menggunakannya. Kejayaan dalam aplikasi M-Learning ini terhadap bidang kaligrafi Jawi pastinya akan dapat dikembangkan lagi kepada bidang-bidang pembelajaran yang lain khususnya bidang-bidang keagamaan

    Pada era globalisasi yang semakin moden, kita tidak terlepas daripada kecanggihan teknologi yang kian berkembang maju. Teknologi yang maju juga turut memberi kesan terhadap perubahan kaedah pembelajaran dalam bidang pendidikan. Perkembangan teknologi yang diterapkan dalam bidang pendidikan dapat memudahkan proses pembelajaran kanak-kanak serta pelajar. Perkembangan ini juga dapat meningkatkan kualiti pembelajaran dan memberi impak yang positif dalam bidang pendidikan di negara ini. Kaedah pembelajaran yang tradisional menggunakan media-media cetak seperti buku teks, nota, modul dan pengajaran oleh guru menyebabkan pelajar sukar untuk memahaminya dan kadang kala sebahagian pelajar tidak mendengar ketika sesi pengajaran oleh guru.
