    TINJAUAN KEKUATAN RANTING BAMBU ORI SEBAGAI KONEKTOR PADA SAMBUNGAN STRUKTUR KUDA-KUDA BAMBU

    Bamboo as construction materials can be used in house building, including columns, beams, partitions, horses, bridges as well as a buffer. The strength of a bamboo construction is influenced by the strength of the connections. At the assembly the construction of bamboo as construction of the horses, the connection with the bolt connector and plate make the horses construction of bamboo less economical because the cost of a bamboo construction will be expensive on the connection.The research is conducted experimentally in two phases of testing. In the early phase of research it is conducted preliminary testing which includes physical and mechanical properties testing of bamboo. The second phase at connection do testing compressive strength with a variety of angles namely 00, 450, and 900. The test results show the value of bamboo moisture content and density of each amount of 12.90% and 0.58 g/cm3. The Connection strength of obtained values theoretically are the lowest strength at 900 angle direction of the strength of 769 kg and the highest on the strength direction with angle of 00 amounting to 1732 kg while the value of the connection strength on the direction angle of 450 amounted to 889 kg. The greater the angle of direction of the force then minimize the connection strength

    Rumah tradisional Minangkabau atau sering disebut rumah gadang adalah cagar budaya yang bernilai budaya dan sejarah di Sumatera Barat. Perkampungan Adat Balai Kaliki Kota Payakumbuh merupakan kawasan yang memiliki banyak bangunan rumah adat minangkabau yang masih terpeliharan dengan baik. Kawasan ini diresmikan sebagai perkampungan adat minangkabau tahun 2019 oleh pemerintah sebagai kawasan yang memiliki cagar budaya yang perlu dilindungi dan dilestarikan. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi profil bangunan rumah gadang di Balai Kaliki. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui survey lapangan terhadap 16 bangunan rumah gadang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara fisik ditemukan 93,7 persen kondisi bangunan rumah gadang masih terpelihara dengan baik dan 75.0 persen diataranya ditempati oleh pemilik sebagai tempat tinggal. Untuk memelihara kelestarian bangunan rumah gadang didapati 87,5 persen bangunan rumah gadang sudah direnovasi oleh pemiliknya dalam bentuk atap dan dinding

    IMPLEMENTATION OF CONNECTION SYSTEM OF WOODEN PLATE AND WOODEN CLAMP ON JOINT MODEL OF BAMBOO TRUSS STRUCTURES

    The study of wooden plate bamboo connection system with the addition of wooden clamp was carried out taking into account the variety the angle of the stems at the joint. The loading was preceded through the application of compressive force at the joint’s member understudied up to reaching the maximum load and the connection was collapsed. It is known that the strength of bamboo not parallel to the direction of the fiber is lower than those parallel to fiber. Therefore, the strength of connection must be determined considering the strength of bamboo not parallel to the fiber direction. The experiment was carried out under static loading on the bamboo truss connections model with the various angle of connection stems of 0o , 30o and 45o toward bamboo fiber direction. From the test result, it was found that there is a decrease in the connection strength at stem angle of 30o and 45o for about 16,80% and 12,21%, respectively, compared to the strength of the stem angle of 0o . The test results also resulted the value of average elastic stiffness (Se) of the connection also indicates a decrease in the of elastic stiffness value (Se) of the connection for the stem’s angle 30o and 45o for about 42,62% and 82,95%, respectively, compared to stem angle of 0o . It can be concluded that there is a decrease in the strength and stiffness of the joints along with the increase in stem’s angle of the bamboo truss connection system using wooden plate and clamp

    Factors affecting resilience of drug abusers at correctional facilities

    Background: Indonesia is currently facing a narcotics emergency as indicated by a drastic increase in the number of drug users and drug-related deaths. Rehabilitation does not guarantee recovery and relief from drugs. Even while undertaking rehabilitation, drug abusers may relapse. Resilience can prevent drug abusers from relapsing and help them overcome their problems. There has been a dearth of research focusing on factors affecting the resilience of drug abusers in Indonesia.Objective: The objective of this research is to identify factors affecting the resilience of drug abusers at correctional facilities in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.Methods: This is a cross-sectional design and was conducted in February 2017 at the Correctional Facility for Narcotics Cases Class IIA in Sleman and the Correctional Facility in Wirogunan. A total of 77 respondents were involved in this research by a consecutive sampling technique. The instruments used included the resilience questionnaire developed by Pertiwi based on Grotberg’s theory, Beck Depression Inventory II, Satis-faction with Life Scale and Positive Affect Negative Affect Schedule, Isundariyana’s stress instrument, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES), Zung Self Rating Anxiety Scale (ZSAS), General Self-Efficacy Scale, Life Orientation Test-Revised (LOT-R), and Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS). The data were analyzed by univariate, bivariate (Pearson and Spearman’s Rank), and multivariate (linear regression) analyses.Results: Out of the 8 factors examined (subjective well-being, optimism, self-esteem, emotion regulation, anxiety, stress, depression, and self-efficacy) and 2 demographic factors (age and occupational status), only self-efficacy (β = 1.063; p = 0.13), optimism (β = 1.51; p = 0.01), and self-esteem (β = 1.540; p = 0.009) affected resilience.Conclusions: Self-efficacy, optimism, and self-esteem are modifiable factors that can influence the resilience of drug abuser

    AbstractBamboo is an environmentally friendly construction material that has great potential to be used as a structural material. As a structural material, bamboo can be used in a variety of building components such as beams, columns, or as a truss structure. High strength bamboo material cannot be fully utilized due to the stiffness of the structure. One of the efforts is by making bamboo beam stacking using shear connectors in order to obtain good stiffness and deflection does not exceed the limit deflection permit. The use of steel bolts as shear connectors on beam stacking bamboo makes bamboo construction is less economical because the cost of a bamboo construction to be expensive. Therefore in this study used a beam shear connectors in the form of pegs of bamboo twigs ori ((Bambusa arundinacea) having good strength and a relatively cheap price. Sebagai material struktur,  bambu dapat digunakan pada berbagai macam komponen struktur seperti balok,kolom atau sebagai struktur rangka batang.  Kekuatan bambu yang tinggi tidak sepenuhnya dapat dimamfaatkan karena terkendala oleh lemahnya kekakuan struktur . Salah satu cara yang dilakukan adalah menggunaan konektor geser dari baja untuk membuat konstruksi bambu menjadi lebih kaku dan lendutan yang terjadi tidak melampuai lendutan ijin. Penggunaan baut dari baja sebagai konektor geser pada balok bambu susunmenjadikan konstruksi bambu kurang ekonomis karena biaya sebuah konstruksi bambu menjadi mahal. Penelitian ini merupakan upaya untuk memaksimalkan penggunaan bambu sebagai material struktur yang mempunyai keunggulan sebagai material konstruksi yang mempunyai kekuatan yang baik, mudah dalam pelaksanaannya, ekonomis dan ramah lingkungan. Bambu yang digunakan sebagai balok adalah bambu wulung (Gigantochloa atroviolace) dan sebagai konektor geser adalah ranting bambu iri (bambusa arundinacea). Berdasarkan hasil pengujian diketahui bahwa balok bambu susun yang menggunakan konektor geser dari ranting bambu ori mempunyai kekuatan yang baik sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa konektor geser dari ranting bambu ori mempunyai potensi untuk dikembangkan.. Keywords: baut, konektor, bambu, balok bambu susun, konstruks
