A Review of Water Pollution in Israel and Palestine
Water pollution is a daily risk with a major impact on both populations and ecosystems. An analysis of water pollution types is essential to determine the affected regions and the magnitude of its impact on various components of the geosystem. This study aims to conduct a thorough analysis of water pollution in the Israel and Palestine, focusing on the three main types of pollution: physical, chemical, and biological. The methodology of this article is based on the critical review of 22 scientific papers published between 1972 and 2023, addressing various aspects of water pollution in the analyzed region, from generating sources to their impact. Most studies are authored by researchers affiliated with institutions located in the conflict region, with many samples collected directly from the field and processed in laboratories or GIS environments. The study results highlight chemical pollution often exceeding recommended limits for various analyzed parameters. Biological pollution subjects aquatic ecosystems to significant pressures, including eutrophication and harmful algal blooms. Wastewater is discharged into watercourses in the region, affecting their physical properties. Areas subject to water pollution include the Gaza Strip, the coastal zone, the northern aquifer in Israel, and lakes in the western part of the analysis region, posing potential risks to the health of the populations in Israel and Palestine

Schizophrenia and the Family Burden during the Pandemic
This article focuses on the issue of the burden that families with people with schizophre-nia in care are confronted with. The pandemic caused significant disruption to the family dynamics of people caring for individuals with schizophrenia due to their higher risk of infection and worse outcomes.Families with patients with schizophrenia should pay close attention to detect both res-piratory and psychiatric symptoms as early as possible. They may need health care pro-fessional support, guidance and help to prevent COVID-19 infection among people di-agnosed with schizophrenia. However, the issue of the difficulties that families with people diagnosed with schizophrenia face remains a serious matter.</em
The Stigma of the Medical Personnel in Psychiatry
This research was structured as a descriptive study based on a questionnaire with seven questions, addressed to the medical personnel involved in the medical assistance of the patient with mental disorders (psychiatrists, family doctors, physicians from other specialties, psychologists). This study refers to the relationship medical team – psychiatric patient from the point of view of the health professionals. The main appreciation criteria refer to the lack of knowledge or minimizing the importance of patients’ rights, aspect that can influence the voluntary addressability of psychiatric patients to treatment and therapeutic success. The lot of this study had a number of 217 subjects from which are part psychiatrists, family doctors, physicians from other specialties and psychologists, who work in therapy centers and hospitals from the following counties: Iaşi, Botoşani, Suceava, Vaslui.</p
Research and Science Today Supplement No.1(3)/2012
Research and Science Today Journal is a publication founded in 2011 and it is dedicated to the students of all levels (license, master and doctoral) of faculties in the country and abroad. We want to offer the participants the opportunity to present their scientific works in the following areas: Social Sciences, Economic Sciences, Legal Sciences, Humanities, Education Sciences, Engineering, Medicine and Sport.
This journal provides students the opportunity to create and / or to improve their abilities to write scientific papers. So each appearance (two appearances per year at which we can add supplements) contains a number of papers written by students, masters and doctoral from the faculties from the country or / and abroad. The journal promotes original studies contributing to the progress of knowledge and it is motivated by the need to address issues of theory and practice in the areas mentioned above.
The Journal is a training means of the factors involved in the conceptualization, development, implementation and evaluation , aiming the formation of creative personalities who could be able to adapt through the changing conditions of life.
Journal wants to be a forum for debates disciplinaries and interdisciplinaries theoretical topics, to become a research support, to leverage this work at regional, national and international levels.
We believe that this gathering will enjoy the support from both parts of the researchers and of the practitioners, and will provide appropriate training sources held professional through the current problems
Patients with Cholangiocarcinoma Present Specific RNA Profiles in Serum and Urine Extracellular Vesicles Mirroring the Tumor Expression: Novel Liquid Biopsy Biomarkers for Disease Diagnosis
Cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) comprises a group of heterogeneous biliary cancers with
dismal prognosis. The etiologies of most CCAs are unknown, but primary sclerosing cholangitis
(PSC) is a risk factor. Non-invasive diagnosis of CCA is challenging and accurate biomarkers are
lacking. We aimed to characterize the transcriptomic profile of serum and urine extracellular
vesicles (EVs) from patients with CCA, PSC, ulcerative colitis (UC), and healthy individuals. Serum
and urine EVs were isolated by serial ultracentrifugations and characterized by nanoparticle
tracking analysis, transmission electron microscopy, and immunoblotting. EVs transcriptome was
determined by Illumina gene expression array [messenger RNAs (mRNA) and non-coding RNAs
(ncRNAs)]. Differential RNA profiles were found in serum and urine EVs from patients with CCA
compared to control groups (disease and healthy), showing high diagnostic capacity. The
comparison of the mRNA profiles of serum or urine EVs from patients with CCA with the
transcriptome of tumor tissues from two cohorts of patients, CCA cells in vitro, and CCA cellsderived EVs, identified 105 and 39 commonly-altered transcripts, respectively. Gene ontology
analysis indicated that most commonly-altered mRNAs participate in carcinogenic steps. Overall,
patients with CCA present specific RNA profiles in EVs mirroring the tumor, and constituting novel
promising liquid biopsy biomarkers

Measurement of the cosmic ray spectrum above eV using inclined events detected with the Pierre Auger Observatory
A measurement of the cosmic-ray spectrum for energies exceeding
eV is presented, which is based on the analysis of showers
with zenith angles greater than detected with the Pierre Auger
Observatory between 1 January 2004 and 31 December 2013. The measured spectrum
confirms a flux suppression at the highest energies. Above
eV, the "ankle", the flux can be described by a power law with
index followed by
a smooth suppression region. For the energy () at which the
spectral flux has fallen to one-half of its extrapolated value in the absence
of suppression, we find
eV.Comment: Replaced with published version. Added journal reference and DO
