    Need Analysis of Pre-Laboratory Development to Support Experimental Activities in Science Learning

    The purpose of this study was to identify the implementation of the experimental method in science learning and the obstacles faced by teachers, as well as to identify the application of pre-lab in science learning. Research design was survey which is non-experimental quantitative research. The participants were 26 teachers who teach subjects in the sciences, namely Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Science as integrated subjects. Data were collected through online questionnaires using google forms and were analyzed descriptively. The results show that experimental activities have not been fully applied to science learning. Most teachers provide the tools and materials needed in learning activities in the laboratory and provide work procedures to students. The constraints that are faced by teachers in applying the experimental method are related to facilities and infrastructure, student characters, and experiment time allocation. Most of the teachers have also carried out pre-lab activities, but they are still dominated by lectures from the teacher. This study also explored the pre-lab model to be developed, almost all teachers agreed if the pre-lab was developed in the form of virtual learning.     Synthesis and Characterization of Nata de Coco Based Edible film with the Addition of Cinnamon Oil

    The edible film is an alternative packaging with renewable and safe materials. The edible film used is methylcellulose from nata de coco with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) plasticizers and cinnamon oil additives. This research aimed to determine the effect of PVA on the mechanical properties of edible film and the effect of adding cinnamon oil on the character of edible film. PVA added were 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% and cinnamon oil added were 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 10%. The mechanical properties of the edible film were observed by tensile strength tester, whereas water vapor absorption by gravimetric method. The result showed the optimum mechanical properties of the edible film was addition PVA 15% which was 1.565 MPa. The more cinnamon oil was added, the mechanical properties of edible film tend to decrease, however, the water vapor absorption tends to increase. The addition of cinnamon oil also showed antimicrobial activity that the fungus did not grow on the edible film

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang peran guru BK dalam implementasi program bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah menengah atas se- Lombok Timur tahun pelajaran 2018/2019. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian yang menggunakan metode survei, yang diukur dengan menggunakan instumen angket sebagai alat pengumpul data yang utama dan dilengkapi dengan wawancara. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 3 (tiga) sekolah yaitu (SMAN 1 Masbagik, SMAN 1 Suralaga dan SMAN 1 Sukamulia) yang dipilih dari tiga kecamatan se-Lombok Timur. Data yang diperoleh berupa data kuantitatif, yang selanjutnya skor yang diperoleh dianalisis ke dalam persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran guru BK dalam implementasi program bimbingan dan konseling di SMAN 1 Masbagik menunjukkan hasil cukup baik, peran guru BK dalam implementasi program bimbingan dan konseling di SMAN 1 Suralaga menunjukkan hasil cukup baik, dan Peran guru BK dalam implementasi program bimbingan dan konseling di SMAN 1 Sukamulia menunjukkan hasil cukup baik.     The Profile of Studentsā€™ Analytical Thinking Skills on Chemistry Systemic Learning Approach

    The movement of educational systems on the 21st century need to be change from linearity to systemic form. The aims of this research is to determine the effect of Chemistry Systemic Learning Approach (CSLA) toward Studentsā€™ Analytical Thinking Skills (SATS). A pre-experimental with pre-test and post-test design was adopted in this research. The population of this study were all of the students of public senior high school in Kulon Progo regency, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Two classes from a public senior high school in those regency were cluster randomly selected as the research samples. A Systemic Test on Analytical Thinking (STAT) was used to collect the data of SATS, before and after the implementation of CSLA. The STAT covering four indicators of analytical thinking, they are differentiating, organizing, and attributing indicators. Meanwhile, the CSLA was integrated in the teaching-learning process and in the STAT, the CSLA was presented in the form of cyclic diagrams. The data of SATS on CSLA were analyse according to paired samples t-test and n-gain category analysis. The results of these analysis indicates that there was significant effect of CSLA on SATS. Moreover, the profile of SATS shows a satisfied improvement after the implementation of CSLA. Overall, a high n-gain category was reached that indicates the enhancement of studentsā€™ understanding of the inter-related concept in chemistry. This study gives a significant contribution on the use of CSLA to improve SATS. Hence, the used of CSLA should be emphasized on chemistry learning to promote studentsā€™ higher order thinking skills

    Konseling Behavioral Untuk Menangani Kebiasaan Minum-Minuman Keras Siswa SMP Di Lombok Timur

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konseling behavioral untuk menangani kebiasaan minum minuman keras pada siswa SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan satu orang siswa yang memiliki tingkat kebiasaan minum minuman keras yang tinggi yang diambil sebagai sampel. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain penelitian subjek tunggal dengan prosedur desain A-B. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini mengunakan angket. Data yang diperoleh dari angket kemudian dianalisis menggunakan rumus eksperimen subjek tunggal dengan menghitung banyak sekor yang didapatkan pada fase baseline dan menghitung banyak sekor yang didapatkan pada fase intervensi kemudian dipadukan antara kedua fase tersebut untuk mengetahui pengaruh sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan (konseling individu). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada fase baseline mendapatkan sekor rat-rata 61% dan pada fase intervensi mendapatkan sekor rata-rata 44%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya pengaruh pemberian layanan konseling individu dalam mengatasi kebiasaan minum minuman keras pada siswa

    The Development of Systemic Multiple Choices Questions (SMCQs) on Redox and Electrolyte-non Electrolyte Solution Concepts in Chemistry Teaching and LEarning

    Nowdays, systemic approach are used widely in chemistry teaching and learning. The aims of this study were (1) to examine the feasibility ofthe SMCQs, (2) to examine the validity and reliability of the SMCQs,and (3) to analyze the level of difficulty of the SMCQs. The SMCQs was developed using R and D model. The research instruments was formed of questionnaire to assess the quality of the questions and multiple choices questions based on the systemic approach to test the validity, reliability, and item difficulty. Data analysis was performed using the method of Winstep application through Rasch statistical method. Based on the study, the quality of the SMCQs is excellent (88.46%) which consists of 30 items valid with high reliability.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mengetahui cara pembuatan media pembelajaran menggunakan director MX serta mengetahui efektifitas penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis director MX pada kualitas pembelajaran Kimia Dasar II khususnya topik Kimia Inti dan Radiokimia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian peĀ¬ngemĀ¬bangan dengan hasil akhir berupa CD pembelajaran. Data meĀ¬ngenai kualitas media pembelajaran dikumpulkan melalui lembaran angket, sedangkan data mengenai tingkat ketuntasan belajar dikumpulkan melalui evaluasi yang berupa soal pilihan ganda. KeĀ¬simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah tahap pembuatan media pemĀ¬belajaran menggunakan program Director MX adalah: pengumpulĀ¬an referensi, penginstalan program, penyusunan media, penilaian reviewer, revisi, aplikasi dan evaluasi. Adapun kualitas media seĀ¬cara keseluruhan bernilai baik. Penerapan media pembelajaran dinilai belum efektif, karena ketuntasan belajar yang dicapai pada Topik Kimia Inti dan Radiokimia pada Kuliah Kimia Dasar II hanya sebesar 61,81%, dari ukuran minimal yang ditentukan se-besar 75%.     Pelatihan dan Pendampingan Implementasi Minat Baca pada Anak Usia Sekolah

    Membaca adalah kunci sukses dalam meraih impian karena dengan banyak membaca wawasan menjadi luas dan cepat memahami perkembangan zaman yang semakin komplekds dalam kehidupan nyata, membaca perintah pertama yang di turunkan Alloh SWT kepada Rosululloh SAW. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membekali dan mendampingi anak-anak pedusunan melalui pelatihan dan sekaligus dalam mendampingi dalam meningkatkan minat baca anak seusia sekolah dasar di dusun Nyelak. Anak dusun pada umumnya belum memahami perkembangan diri dalam menentukan sikap karena para orang tua juga yang memang latar belakang mereka sebagian besar putus sekolah, membaca bagi anak harus didampingi dan di latih dengan ketat, disiplin dan di berikan fasilitas berupa buku bacaan yang menarik untuk dibaca, sehingga anak termotivasi dalam membaca. Metode yang dipakai dalam pengabdian di dusun Nyelak dalam pendampingan ini adalah dengan menggunakan pendekatan silaturrohim di rumah penduduk yang merupakan obyek pendampingan, dimana jumlah mereka lima orang yang memang selalu bolos sekolah. Hasil pendampingan ini mneunjukkan bahwa anak-anak mulai bisa membaca karena respon pendampingan minat baca oleh orang tua sebagai orang terdekat anak mulai disiplin dalam memonitor anak mereka, ini terbukti anak-anak mengurangi tidak bolos sekolah, dan mengulangi pelajaran dirumah ketika pulang sekolah adapau dari ke lima siswa terdapat 1 siswa yang berkategori tinggi dengan nilai 80, dan 4 berkategori sangat tinggi dengan nilai 9
