    Shrimp culture is one of the lucrative fisheries agribusiness businesses to develop. However, in recent years there have been many crop failures in shrimp farming due to disease. The purpose of this society service is to provide counseling about the application of biosecurity in shrimp farming operational. The results of the service show that the service participants who are workers in the ponds of Manunggal Setia Makmur Corp. was very enthusiastic about participating in the program presentation. In addition, after presentation of the material and interactive dialogue with the presenters, the workers at this Manunggal Setia Makmur Corp. also immediately applied the concepts they got from this counseling event to his work in the shrimp pond. The conclusion obtained from this society service event is that most of the employees in Manunggal Setia Makmur Corp. still has not applied the concept of biosecurity to its shrimp culture operations. On this occasion the author provides education and examples of the application of practical biosecurity concepts in intensive shrimp farming activities

    PENGARUH PEMBERIAN BERBAGAI JENIS PROBIOTIK TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN IKAN NILA MERAH (Oreochromis sp.)

    The Purpose of this research was to know the different probiotics types giving effect to highest growth on red tilapia fish (Oreochromis sp.). This research was held on 1st November 2015 until 30th November 2015 at brackish water and sea Laboratory, Fisheries Faculty, Pekalongan University. Method was using experiment method with completely randomized design (RAL) consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The fourth treatments are treatment A (without probiotic), treatment B (commercial probiotic 1), treatment C (commercial probiotic 2) and treatment D (tuber Banana’s probiotic). Each treatments with given probiotic dose 10 cc/kg feed. Red tilapia fish sized 3-5 cm to the aquarium stocked at a density of 1fish/liter. The paramete orbserved were the growth rate, survival rate (SR), and water quaity. The result shows that the different probiotics given were effect on red nile tilapia growth (F count > F Tabel). Probiotic from commercial probiotic 1 gave the highest result on red nile tilapia fish weight growth were 7.02 grs. Tuckey test result shows that treatment B – treatment A very significant effect on red tilapia weight growth with value 3.043 (5% = 0.829, 1% = 1,086). Red tilapia fish survival rate during research reach 100%. Water quality research good to red nile fish culture medium, were temperature 26 – 29o C, pH 6.7 – 7.8 , and DO 6 mg/l.Keyword : Red Tilapia Fish, Probiotics, Growt

    Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk membentuk dan mengembangkan model budidaya tanaman padi, sayur, dan ikan lele secara bertingkat pada lahan pekarangan. Metode yang dikembangkan terdiri atas beberapa tahapan meliputi koordinasi, sosialisasi, pengadaan bahan dan alat, praktek dan pendampingan pembuatan model budidaya padi, sayur, dan ikan lele secara bertingkat di lahan pekarangan. Model ini dikembangkan dalam rangka memberikan solusi alternatif terhadap lahan yang terinterusi air laut, sehingga penyediaan bahan pangan dapat disediakan dan diproduksi di lahan pekarangan yang dimiliki oleh anggota dari kelompok tani mitra. Model ini berimplikasi terhadap penyediaan bahan pangan berupa padi, sayur, dan ikan lele yang dibutuhkan untuk memenuhi karbohidrat dan gizi keluarga. Hasil panen didapatkan tanaman cabe rawit hijau per pohon bisa menghasilkan 33 buah dengan bobot 52,66 gr; tanaman tomatmenghasilkan 5-7 buah per pohon, tanaman terong menghasilkan 2-3 buah perpohon dengan berat rata-rata 72,4 g, panjang rata-rata 16,71 cm. Tanaman padi menghasilkan 32 malai per rumpun dengan panjang rata-rata 16,86 cm dengan berat total per rumpun 57,87 gr. Panen ikan lele menghasilkan 176 kg dengan panjang rata-rata 26,64 cm dan berat rata-rata 0,13 kg

    This study aims to determine the effect of different natural feeding of Betta fish growth and to know what types of natural food that provides growth Betta fish is best. Research was conducted that the Laboratory of Aquaculture Faculty of Fisheries University of Pekalongan on the date of 12 June to 12 July 2010. This study used a complete randomized desaign with 3 treatments and each treatment is repeated 3 times. The treatment applied are different types of natural food is Daphnia sp, mosquito larva an silk Worm. Results of analysis of variance showed that differences in types of natural food which is given a very real effect on the growth of Betta fish. Tukey’s test further showed that the treatment using silk Worms were significantly different to the treatment using mosquito larva and treatment using Daphnia sp.                The purpose of this study was to discover the growth response of gift, larasati and sultana tilapia to fields affected by tidal flood, to discover the impact of economic value toward tilapia harvest. The study was conducted in  15 June 2012 – 13 April 2013 in fields impacted by tidal flood in Pecakaran Village Wonokerto Sub-District Pekalongan Regency. Test fishes used were seeds of gift tilapia, larasati tilapia and sultana tilapia with average length 5 - 7 cm. Seeds of gift tilapia, larasati tilapia and sultana tilapia. Stocking density for every hapa sized 100 x 100 x 100 cm was 20 seeds. Data collecte included data of water quality and growth. Water quality parameters measured  were temperature, oxygen, pH, depth, brightness and salinity which were measured every week. Data of tilapia growth was analyzed using variant analysis and to discover tilapia type which yielded the best growth tukey test was used. Data of water quality was analyzed descriptively. The result showed that unproductive fields due to tidal flood could still be used for tilapia cultivation, different test tilapia strain used had significant influence on the growth of test tilapia, larasati tilapia had the highest growth (95.61 gr/day), followed by gift tilapia (90.04 gr/day) and the lowest was sultana tilapia (46.07 gr/day), average water quality (water temperature and pH) of culture media during the study was in adequate range for the live and growth of test tilapia

    Vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) was kind of shrimp that cultivating by globally. Vaname shrimp has an euryhaline character or able to live on wide salinity. At low salinity watery, the availibility of minerals is too low. This research has to analized using dolomite as pellet for moulting period of vaname shrimp. This research was use sample survey method or field survey, and analyzing descriptively. The value of research shows that adding dolomite at vaname shrimp’s feed could help moulting proccess and growth faster. Growth data in pond 1 shows that MBW is 16,39 g with size 61 and pond 2 MBW is 13,7 g with size 72. Difference result in Mean Body Weight (MBW) is 2,69 g and size difference on 11.     Artemia sebagai salah satu pakan alami untuk biota akuatik keberadaannya sangat dibutuhkan untuk produksi akukultur. Saat ini artemia tersedia di pasar dalam bentuk kista, oleh sebab itu diperlukan pengetahuan dalam pross penetasan kista. Faktor yang paling berpengaruh dalam penetasan kista artemia yaitu kualitas air. Salah satu parameter kualitas air yang sangat berpengaruh dalam penetasan kista artemia yaitu salinitas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menentukan salinitas optimal untuk penetasan kista Artemia sp. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan rancangan percobaan yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Perlakuan terdiri atas A (25 ppt), B (30 ppt), C (35 ppt), dan D (40 ppt) dengan tiga ulangan pada masing-masing perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan B sebagai perlakuan terbaik berdasarkan Uji ANOVA dan Uji Duncan. Kualitas air media penetasan selama penelitian masih dalam kondisi optimal. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan perlakuan B (30 ppt) menunjukkan hasil terbaik untuk penetasan artemia dengan persentase daya tetas artemia sebesar 50,21±5,96%.  Artemia sebagai salah satu pakan alami untuk biota akuatik keberadaannya sangat dibutuhkan untuk produksi akukultur.     This study aims to determine differences in production and FCR vannamei shrimp in ponds plastics with widely different. The method used in this study is a survey. The survey was conducted in ponds plastic BUSMETIK SUPM State Tegal, Central Java number 3 pieces pond with an area different from that plot A1 (an area of 1000 m2), plot A2 (area of 800 m2) and plot A3 (area 600 m2) for three (3) maintenance cycle. The production of vannamei shrimp with an area of different A (1000 m2), B (800 m2) and C (600 m2) for 3 cycles of maintenance in the pond BUSMETIK SUPM State Tegal indicate that the harvest vannamei shrimp highest in area ponds A (1000 m2) with average yields 2473.667 kg, followed by the pond area B (800 m2) with yields 1933.667 kg, and the yield was lowest for the vannamei shrimp pond area C (600 m2) with results 1183.667 kg. Results of analysis of variance of the data results of the study (Appendix 4), then the result is that the value of F count (103.112)> F table 5% (5.14) and F table 1% (10.92). FCR value for each area of the pond is still good enough (maximum 1.3). FCR is the smallest value occurs in the pond with an area of 1000 m2, namely (1.2), while in the pond area of 800 m2 and 600 m2 FCR is still quite good value (1,3).Keyword : Vannamei Shrimp, Busmetik, Growth, FC

    PENGARUH PEMBERIAN EKSTRAK DAUN MANGROVE (Rhizophora mucronata) DENGAN DOSIS YANG BERBEDA TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN IKAN BANDENG (Chanos chanos)

    The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of giving Rhizophora mucronata mangrove leaf extract at different doses and to get the best dose in increasing the growth of milkfish. The research method was a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments used were: A, (control feed dose), B (administration of mangrove leaf extract at a dose of 1.5 mg/kg feed), C (administration of mangrove leaf extract at a dose of 1.7 mg/kg feed), D administration of mangrove leaf extract at a dose of 1.9 mg/kg of feed). The results showed that the highest growth rate was obtained in treatment C with a dose of 1.7 mg/kg of feed mangrove leaf extract, with an increase in biomass of 2.39 gr while feeding was carried out for 30 days and weighing was carried out on the last day. The lowest growth was obtained in treatment A with control feed doses resulting in average growth of 1.5 gr. Survival during the study results obtained 100% with a growth F value greater than F table 1% and 5%. The range of water temperature during the study was between 30°C, the water pH ranged from 7.5-8.1, DO ranged from 4.2 to 4.5 ppm and the water salinity during the study was 15-20 ppt. The result of statistical analysis showed that the treatments has significant influence to the growth of fish with F count greater than F table. Key words : Milkfish, Rhizophora mucronata Mangrove Leaf Extract, Growt

    PENGARUH PERBEDAAN PERSENTASE PAKAN BUATAN DAN FERMENTASI BUNGKIL KEDELAI TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN UDANG VANAME (Litopenaeus vannamei)

    ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pakan fermentasi bungkil kedelai terhadap pertumbuhan biomassa udang vaname. Metode penelitian ini adalah experimental laboratoris menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan perlakuan pakan komersil 25% dan fermentasi bungkil kedelai 75% (A), pakan komersil 50% dan fermentasi bungkil kedelai 50% (B), pakan komersil 75% dan fermentasi bungkil kedelai 25% (C), pakan komersil 100% (D), fermentasi bungkil kedelai 100% (E) dengan 3 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa persentase pakan fermentasi bungkil kedelai terhadap pertumbuhan udang berpengaruh nyata (F hit > F tab). Perlakuan terbaik pada persentase 25%(C) dengan pertumbuhan biomass sebesar 1,23 gram, efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan 82,46% dan FCR (Feed Convertion Ratio)  1,21. Kata kunci : udang vaname, fermentasi bungkil kedelai, pertumbuhan, efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan, FCR (Feed Convertion Ratio).ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of soybean for growth, vaname shrimp. The method of this research is experimental laboratory method, using Completely Randomized Design (CRD), comprises 25% commercial feed treatment and 75% (A) soybean meal fermentation, 50% commercial feed and 50% (B) soybean fermentated feed, 75% commercial feed and fermentation and 25% (C) soybean feed, 100% (D) commercial feed, 100% (E) soybean meal fermentation with 3 replications. The results obtained shows that the percentage of soybean fermented feed on shrimp growth has a significant effect (F hit> F tab). The best treatment is at the percentage of 25% (C) with a biomass weight of 1.23 grams, 82.46% of feed utilization efficiency and FCR (Feed Convertion Ratio) of 1.21. Keywords:vaname shrimp, soybean fermented feed, growth, feed utilization efficiency, FCR (Feed Convertion Ratio)
