Spectrums of Black Hole in de Sitter Spacetime with Highly Damped Quasinormal Modes: High Overtone Case

Motivated by recent physical interpretation on quasinormal modes presented by Maggiore, the adiabatic quantity method given by Kunstatter is used to calculate the spectrums of a non-extremal Schwarzschild de Sitter black hole in this paper, as well as electrically charged case. According to highly damped Konoplya and Zhidenko's numerical observational results for high overtone modes\cite{Konoplya}, we found that the asymptotic non-flat spacetime structure leads two interesting facts as followings: (i) near inner event horizon, the area and entropy spectrums, which are given by Aen=8n1πA_{en} = 8 n_1 \pi \hbar, Sen=2πn1S_{en} = 2\pi n_1\hbar, are equally spaced accurately. (ii) However, near outer cosmological horizon the spectrums, which are in the form of Acn=16n2π48πΛAcn3Acn2A_{cn} = 16 n_2 \pi \hbar - \sqrt{\frac{48\pi}{\Lambda}A_{cn} - 3 A_{cn}^2}, Scn=4πn23πΛAcn3/16Acn2S_{cn} = 4 \pi n_2 \hbar - \sqrt{\frac{3\pi}{\Lambda}A_{cn} - 3/16 A_{cn}^2}, are not markedly equidistant. Finally, we also discuss the electrically charged case and find the black holes in de Sitter spacetime have similar quantization behavior no matter with or without charge.Comment: 12 pages, 2 firures, published versio

This research aimed at assessing the spatial variability and relationships between factors that affect cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) yield. Plant and soil data were collected by a 90 ha area divided in a regular grid of 100 m. In order to detect the variation at small scale, more intense samplings were made with spacing of 33 m, resulting in 5 clusters and totalizing 170 samples. Data were submitted to descriptive statistical analysis, geostatistic and interpolation through ordinary kriging. Variability expressed by the coefficient of variation was from low to moderate for all the variables except for retained bolls and soil P content. Geostatistical analysis indicated that most cotton yield factors presented spatial dependence and this should be considered when defining sampling schemes for soil and crop management practices.O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a magnitude da variabilidade espacial e as relações de causa e efeito entre os fatores de produção da cultura do algodoeiro (Gossypium hirsutum L.). Fundect/M

Social media and nurse education: an integrative reviewof the literature

    Get PDF
Introduction. The exponential advance of social media has touched all areas of society, no exception for the professional and personal lives of healthcare people. The issue to be considered is not whether or not social media are being used, but how they are used. The line between proper and improper use, and even abuse, of social media is a subtle one. Thus, the key issue is to be aware of the tool that is being used and this should be supported with suitable training for healthcare professionals and, at an even earlier stage, for students at healthcare training institutions during their studies. Objective. To describe, through an integrative review of the literature, the use of social media by teachers and students during teaching activity and practical training courses. Materials and methods. An integrative review of the literature was conducted in October 2014. The literature search was performed by consulting the main biomedical databases: PubMed, CINAHL and Embase. Results. The literature search brought up a total of 854 citations. 804 abstracts were excluded as they were not relevant. Of the remaining 50, 31 were excluded for not meeting the general criteria and, hence, only 19 articles were included. Two aspects emerged from the works selected: the use and potential of social media in nursing education and the ethical and professional implications of their use. Conclusions. The analysis of the literature reveals two areas for further investigation: evaluating the level of moral awareness in nursing education with regards to the use of Web 2.0 communication tools and implementing teaching methods to promote the construction and development of moral reasoning in professionals

Techniques of precision agriculture are alternatives to optimize the use of inputs, among them nitrogen. The present work had as its objective to verify the possibility of use of a commercial optical sensor in sugarcane, verifying its capability in identification of the crop response to different nitrogen (N) rates. An experiment was installed in randomized blocks in an experimental area with third sugarcane ratoon, harvested mechanically, with different N rates (0, 50, 100, 150 and 200 kg ha-1) and four repetitions. At 30, 60 and 90 days after the harvest (DAH) the measuring of NDVI (normalized difference vegetation index) was accomplished starting from the optical sensor. No response was verified of NDVI on measurements at the 30 and 60 DAH, however at 90 DAH the sensor was capable to differentiate the doses of applied N, positively correlated with the sugarcane final production. This work gives subsidies to studies of same nature that seek the management of the nitrogen fertilization in sugarcane using optical sensor.FAPES

Method for evaluation of guidance equipments for agricultural vehicles and GNSS signals effect

Researches indicate that the use of new techniques in agricultural machinery, as controlled traffic by steering systems with the use of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) may decrease the energy demand associated to field operations and increase labor efficiency and crop yield. Some authors already use different methodologies to evaluate the parallelism errors in guidance systems for vehicles, but there is no standard methodology to measure them. So, the objective of these work was to develop a specific spreadsheet, determinate and compare the accuracy in the parallelism of two distinct guidance systems (a light bar and an universal autopilot) working at straight path using GPS signal with two differential correction systems (one with internal algorithm and the other with satellite signal and sub metric accuracy). To evaluate both systems a RTK (Real Time Kinematic) differential correction was used, realizing five parallel and successive paths for each system, characterizing five replications for each treatment. The spreadsheet enabled the evaluation method used, and the errors for both equipments and signals analyzed, showed to be compatible with field operations that demand parallelism accuracy in the order of decimeters.FAPES

Quantum Statistical Entropy and Minimal Length of 5D Ricci-flat Black String with Generalized Uncertainty Principle

In this paper, we study the quantum statistical entropy in a 5D Ricci-flat black string solution, which contains a 4D Schwarzschild-de Sitter black hole on the brane, by using the improved thin-layer method with the generalized uncertainty principle. The entropy is the linear sum of the areas of the event horizon and the cosmological horizon without any cut-off and any constraint on the bulk's configuration rather than the usual uncertainty principle. The system's density of state and free energy are convergent in the neighborhood of horizon. The small-mass approximation is determined by the asymptotic behavior of metric function near horizons. Meanwhile, we obtain the minimal length of the position Δx\Delta x which is restrained by the surface gravities and the thickness of layer near horizons.Comment: 11pages and this work is dedicated to the memory of Professor Hongya Li

Electrophoretic co-deposition of Mn1.5Co1.5O4, Fe2O3 and CuO: Unravelling the effect of simultaneous addition of Cu and Fe on the microstructural, thermo-mechanical and corrosion properties of in-situ modified spinel coatings for solid oxide cell interconnects

    Get PDF
A systematic microstructural, thermo-mechanical and electrical characterization of simultaneous Fe–Cu doped Mn–Co spinel coatings processed by electrophoretic co-deposition on Crofer 22 APU is here reported and discussed. An innovative approach for the simultaneous electrophoretic deposition of three spinel precursors is designed, conceived and optimised, with the aim of outlining time- and energy-saving spinel modification routes. The effect of different levels of Cu and Fe co-doping is observed on the stability of the modified Mn–Co spinel phase, the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE), the corrosion resistance and on the densification behaviour of the obtained coatings. Cu determines an increase of CTE, while Fe has the opposite behavior. The synergic effect of the simultaneous Fe and Cu co-doping results in an improved densification and the stabilization of the MnCo2O4 cubic phase. The most interesting results in terms of corrosion resistance are obtained for the Mn1.28Co1.28Fe0.15Cu0.29O4 spinel
