Kaupunkiseutujen yhdyskuntarakenne maakuntakaavoissa – Arviointi valtakunnallisten alueidenkäyttötavoitteiden vaikuttavuuden kannalta

Selvityksessä on analysoitu sitä, missä määrin ja millä tavoin yhdyskuntarakennetta koskevat valtakunnalliset alueidenkäyttötavoitteet toteutuvat kaupunkiseutujen maakuntakaavoissa. Tarkastelussa olivat mukana valtakunnallisten alueidenkäyttötavoitteiden velvoitteet yhdyskuntarakenteen eheyttämisestä, henkilöautoliikenteen tarvetta vähentävästä liikennejärjestelmästä sekä palvelujen saatavuutta edistävästä keskusjärjestelmästä ja palveluverkosta. Selvitys on laadittu maakuntakaavoituksen kehittämiseksi ja sitä koskevan ohjauksen tehostamiseksi. Selvityksen perustana on ollut 16 kaupunkiseudun maakuntakaavan analysointi. Raportti sisältää tarkastelujen yhteenvedon ja johtopäätökset sekä tekijöiden suositukset tulevaa maakuntakaavoitusta silmällä pitäen. Raportti tarjoaa myös virikkeeksi liitteenä olevan kuvitteellisen Jossikkalan kaupunkiseudun maakuntakaavaan, joka on laadittu yhdyskuntarakennetavoitteiden edistämiseksi selvityksen johtopäätösten ja suositusten sekä hyvien esimerkkien pohjalta

Venous thromboembolismafter surgical treatment of non-spinal skeletal metastases : An underdiagnosed complication

Introduction and aim: Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a severe complication associated both with major orthopaedic surgery and cancer. However, survival and postoperative complications of skeletal metastases despite their thrombogenic potential, have received little attention in both the clinical management and research setting. This single-centre observational cohort study aimed to evaluate the incidence and impact of VTE in association with cancer surgery targeted to the management of fractures secondary to skeletal metastases. Methods: Data were collected retrospectively from the medical database. We included consecutive 306 patients operated for 343 non-spinal skeletal metastases during a 15-year period (1999-2014). The incidence of VTE and its risk factors were assessed using binary logistic regression analysis. Kaplan-Meier and Cox regression analyses were used to evaluate variables affecting survival. Results: The rate of symptomatic VTE was 10% (30/306) during the 3-month postoperative period, while 79% received thromboprophylaxis. Fatal pulmonary embolism (PE) rate was high, 3.3% (10/306) after surgery. Intraoperative oxygen saturation drop, pulmonary metastases and intramedullary nailing were independent risk factors for VTE. Indicators of decreased survival were lung cancer, intramedullary nailing, multiple skeletal and pulmonary metastases, anaemia, leukocytosis, and PE. Conclusion: Relationship between fractures secondary to skeletal metastases and VTE needs further clinical attention. Whether the survival of patients with fractures secondary to skeletal metastases can be improved by targeted thromboprophylactic means should be studied further. (C) 2016 Elsevier Ltd. Slacking With the Bot : Programmable Social Bot in Virtual Team Interaction

Nonhuman communicators are challenging the prevailing conceptualizations of technology-mediated team communication. Slackbot is a social bot that can be configured to respond to trigger words and, thus, take part in discussions on the platform. A set of 84 bot-related communication episodes were identified from a journalistic team's Slack messages (N=45,940) and analyzed utilizing both qualitative content analysis and interaction process analysis (IPA). This integrated mixed-methods analysis revealed novel insights into the micro-level dynamics of human-machine communication in organizational teams. In response to Slackbot's greetings, acclamations, work-related messages, and relational messages, we identified how the team members respond to the bot, discuss it, and summon it to appear on the platform. Further, the IPA revealed that the bot-related communication episodes are shaped by the bot's responses toward more socioemotional and personal functions. Findings suggest that a team-configured social bot can manifest and facilitate relational team communication. Lay Summary New communication technologies not only support but also take part in organizational team communication, challenging how we see the agency of these technologies. This paper examines Slackbot, a bot that "participates" in team discussions based on the use of triggering words that are configured by the team members. We used integrated mixed methods to study a set of Slackbot interactions with team members. Specifically, we examined how team members summon, interact with, and discuss the bot based on the bot's greetings, acclamations, relational comments, and work-related messages. We found that Slackbot changes the nature of the team interaction. The analysis showed that when the bot participates in the discussion thread, it becomes more relational and less task focused. These findings suggest that a social bot can facilitate relational communication and provide assets that support organizational teamwork.Peer reviewe

Rustokasvaimet ovat ryhmä heterogeenisia kasvaimia, joille on tyypillistä rustoisenmatriksin tuottaminen. Hyvänlaatuiset rustokasvaimet ovat yleisin oireeton luun sattumalöydös.Tavallisimmat hyvänlaatuiset rustokasvaimet ovat perifeerinen osteokondrooma ja sentraalinenenkondrooma. Sentraalinen graduksen 1 kondrosarkooma on uuden WHO-luokituksen mukaisestivälimuotoinen (intermediate) paikallisesti aggressiivinen kasvain.
