A multiwavelength view of BL Lacs neutrino candidates
The discovery of high-energy astrophysical neutrinos by IceCube kicked off a
new line of research to identify the electromagnetic counterparts producing
these neutrinos. Among the extragalactic sources, active galactic nuclei (AGN),
and in particular Blazars, are promising candidate neutrino emitters. Their
structure, with a relativistic jet pointing to the Earth, offers a natural
accelerator of particles and for this reason a perfect birthplace of high
energy neutrinos. A good characterisation of the spectral energy distribution
(SED) of these sources can improve the understanding of the physical
composition of the source and the emission processes involved. Starting from
our previous works in which we assumed a correlation between the -ray
and the neutrino flux of the BL Lacs of the 2FHL catalogue (detected by Fermi
above 50GeV), we select those BL Lac in spatial correlation with the IceCube
events. We obtain a sample of 7 sources and we start an observational campaign
to have a better characterisation of the synchrotron peak. During the analysis
of the data a new source has been added because of its position inside the
angular uncertainty of a muon track event detected by IceCube. This source,
namely TXS0506+056, was in a high-state during the neutrino event and we will
consider it as benchmark to check the proprieties of the other sources of the
sample during the related neutrino detection.
We obtain a better characterisation of the SED for the sources of our sample.
A prospective extreme Blazar, a very peculiar low synchrotron peak (LSP) source
with a large separation of the two peaks and a \textit{twin} of TXS0506+056
come up. We also provide the -ray light curve to check the trend of the
sources around the neutrino detection but no clears patterns are in common

Parenting infants at the times of COVID-19: A cross-sectional study on parental stress in the province of Modena (Northern Italy)
Background and aim of the work: The advent of the COVID-19 pandemic and the consequent measures to prevent virusâs spread particularly affected families with young children, that represent a complex system characterized by a constant interaction between the infantâs and the parentâs well-being. The present study aims to investigate the parenting stress experienced by parents with 6-month-old healthy infants surveyed from September 2019 to April 2021 in the Modena province (Northern Italy). Research design and methods: We carried out a cross-sectional study using the Parenting Stress Index-Short Form (PSI-SF) questionnaire to assess stress levels in the parent-child system. Since the questionnaire is meant to be self-completed by the participant, the survey could continue to be conducted remotely during the pandemic lockdown months. Results: Most parents exhibited physiological stress scores, but parents who have been interviewed during the pandemic period had a higher prevalence of stress problems. Subjects in the COVID group also showed a drop in the defensive response and a lower prevalence of stress problems when parenting siblings. Conclusions: These findings underline the importance of early detection of isolationâs negative effects on households and strengthen the need for tailored familial support during stressful events, in order to pro-mote parent and childrenâs emotional well-being

Organic Livestock Production- A Bibliometric Review
Due to the increasing interest in organic farming, an overview of this research area is provided through a bibliometric analysis conducted between April and May 2019. A total of 320 documents were published up until 2018 on organic livestock farming, with an annual growth rate of 9.33% and a clear increase since 2005; 268 documents have been published in 111 journals. Germany is the country with the largest number of published papers (56 documents). Authors\u2019 top keywords (excluding keywords used for running the search) included: animal welfare (29 times), animal health (22 times), cattle (15 times), grazing (10 times), and sheep (10 times). This could indicate that more research has been done on cattle because of the importance of this species in Germany. Moreover, the prevalence of the terms \u2018animal welfare\u2019 and \u2018animal health\u2019 may indicate that the research on organic livestock production has been focused on these two areas. The bibliometric analysis indicates that: i) countries focused the organic livestock production research on their main production, and ii) more research in species other than cattle and sheep is needed
Overview about E-Mobility Conducted Immunity Tests on ESA Communication Lines
Due to the complexity of the Automotive Electromagnetic Compatibility legislation in force, this article aims to describe a simplified overview of several technical standards relating to conducted immunity tests on electronic sub-assemblies, where communication lines are involved. The discussed automotive standards reported in this article are: ISO 11452-1 and ISO 11452-4 for continuous narrowband electromagnetic fields immunity test, bulk current injection and tubular wave coupler, IEC 61000-4-5 for immunity against surge events, IEC 61000-4-4 for electrical fast transient/burst events immunity, ISO 10605 for electrostatic discharge events immunity, ISO 7637-2 and ISO 7637-3 for transient disturbances events immunity. For each cited standard, disturbance bandwidth evaluation was performed. Practical examples are reported, with analysis and discussion of some of the adoptable disturbance countermeasures applicable on controlled area network communication lines, and possible design advantages and disadvantages with different types of filtering and suppression circuit solutions
Black soldier fly as a New chitin source: Extraction, purification and molecular/structural characterization
Black Soldier Fly (BSF) represents a potential chitin source that has not been fully explored in terms of characterization, extraction, and purification. In this study, different chemical and enzymatic protocols with or without pre-treatment (ultrasonication and mechanochemical milling) for chitin extraction were tested. Chitin was then accurately quantified and characterized from a molecular and structural point of view by UPLC-MS, XRD, and ESEM, and compared with chitin from shrimp shells. BSF chitin was more recalcitrant than shrimp chitin during extraction and purification, due to the strong binding of chitin to proteins. Indeed, the purity of shrimp chitin was 88.3g/100g of extract, while BSF chitin purity was 47.6â79.9g/100g. Furthermore, the chitin-bound proteins had a defined amino acid composition; their binding was also confirmed by structural characterization. Therefore, the efficiency of each step of the extraction process needs to be critically evaluated to adapt the methods used for crustaceans to insect biomass
Preliminary evaluation of sap flow data by stem heat balance method.
Cermak et al. (1973) developed the first version of the heat balance method (HBM), which involves continuous application of heat in a stem segment and quantifying losses by axial and radial wood conduction. The heat flow carried out by the sap is determined from the difference between input power and axial and radial heat losses from the heated stem segment. Currently, this method follows Sakuratani (1981) and Baker & Van Bavel (1987), who modified the first HBM version by applying a constant power on the gauge, so reducing the electronic requirements for the measurements. The HBM is an absolute method that requires simple equipment and some basic procedures in order to minimize errors (Baker & Nieber, 1989; Steinberg et al., 1990; Valancogne & Nasr, 1993; Weibel & de Vos, 1994). However, it is difficult to evaluate sap flow measurements in field conditions since reference methods, such as lysimeters, soil water balance and other techniques are normally difficult to apply, especially for big plants. This paper focuses on this problem and considers some procedures to evaluate data supplied by HBM when reference methods are not available

Mediterranean diet is sustainable for both childrenâs and the planetâs health. The aim of this crosssectional study was to evaluate the eating habits of children aged between 6 months and 3 years, in the province of Modena and Reggio Emilia, in Italy, along with their adherence to the guidelines
for a healthy diet, and examine the role of pediatricians in promoting knowledge about nutrition and sustainability. In our sample (218 children), most children exceeded the recommended meat and cheese intake, while consuming insufficient amounts of vegetables, fruit, and legumes. Vegetable and fruit consumption declined with the increase in age category while eating sweets, soft drinks, and processed food increased. Incorporating school mealsâ data into this analysis, we observed a modification in dietary compliance, characterized by an increase in meat and cheese consumption, alongside improvements in the intake of vegetables, fruits, fish, eggs, and legumes. This study suggests that supporting an integrated approach that combines social and educational initiatives is crucial. Future research should prioritize fostering sustainable eating habits within communities to facilitate dietary habitsâ transformation and encourage healthier lifestyles
