    Lattice supersymmetry in 1D with two supercharges

    A consistent formulation of a fully supersymmetric theory on the lattice has been a long standing challenge. In recent years there has been a renewed interest on this problem with different approaches. At the basis of the formulation we present in the following there is the Dirac-Kahler twisting procedure, which was proposed in the continuum for a number of theories, including N=4 SUSY in four dimensions. Following the formalism developed in recent papers, an exact supersymmetric theory with two supercharges on a one dimensional lattice is realized using a matrix-based model. The matrix structure is obtained from the shift and clock matrices used in two dimensional non-commutative field theories. The matrix structure reproduces on a one dimensional lattice the expected modified Leibniz rule.     The direct observation of the phase separation between the metallic and insulating states of 75 %-deuterated Îş\kappa-(ET)2_2Cu[N(CN)2_2]Br (d33d33) using infrared magneto-optical imaging spectroscopy is reported, as well as the associated temperature, cooling rate, and magnetic field dependencies of the separation. The distribution of the center of spectral weight () of d33d33 did not change under any of the conditions in which data were taken and was wider than that of the non-deuterated material. This result indicates that the inhomogenity of the sample itself is important as part of the origin of the metal - insulator phase separation.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figures, accepted for publication in Solid State Commu

    N=2 Supersymmetric Model with Dirac-Kahler Fermions from Generalized Gauge Theory in Two Dimensions

    We investigate the generalized gauge theory which has been proposed previously and show that in two dimensions the instanton gauge fixing of the generalized topological Yang-Mills action leads to a twisted N=2 supersymmetric action. We have found that the R-symmetry of N=2 supersymmetry can be identified with the flavour symmetry of Dirac-Kahler fermion formulation. Thus the procedure of twist allows topological ghost fields to be interpreted as the Dirac-Kahler matter fermions.Comment: 22 pages, LaTe

    EFFECTS OF DRYING AND ENSILING METHODS ON CYANIDES CONTENTS AND CHEMICAL COMPONENTS OF CASSAVA ROOTS AND STEMS

    The objectives of this experiment was to compare the drying and ensiling methods to reduce cyanides contents in cassava, as well as related nutrient components. This experiment used roots and stems of cas-sava, fermented juice of epiphytic lactic acid bacteria (FJLB) and molasses. A completely randomized design was used in this experiment for 8 treatments. The treatments were 30 o C incubator, 50 o C incubator, 70 o C oven drying, freeze drying, 2 d incubator 30 o C ensiling, 2 d incubator 50 o C ensiling, 2 w incubator 30 o C ensiling and 2 w incubator 50 o C ensiling. The contents of HCN, acetone cyanohydrin, linamarin, proximate components and in vitro dry matter digestibility were determined in each treatment. The result of this experi-ment showed that the contents of HCN and linamarin in ensiled cassava roots were lower (p<0.01) than in dried cassava roots. There were no significantly different on residual HCN among treatments in cassava stems. The content of linamarin was higher in freeze drying than that in heat drying methods (p<0.05). There was an opposite pattern of acetone cyanohydrins and linamarin content of roots and stems. The content of dry matter (DM) in 30 o C ensiling was lower than in 50 o C ensiling (p<0.05). The content of ash increased in cassava roots silage (p<0.01), meanwhile the decreasing of ether extract content was occured in cassava stem silage (p<0.01). Ensiling method was more effective to reduce cyanide than the drying method, and cassava silage showed a proper qualification as feed. Keywords: Drying, Ensiling, Cyanides, Cassav

    Structure of Critical Lines in Quenched Lattice QCD with the Wilson Quark Action

    The structure of critical lines of vanishing pion mass for the Wilson quark action is examined in quenched lattice QCD. The numerical evidence is presented that critical lines spread into five branches beyond beta=5.6-5.7 at zero temperature.     Novel mechanism of photoinduced reversible phase transitions in molecule-based magnets

    A novel microscopic mechanism of bi-directional structural changes is proposed for the photo-induced magnetic phase transition in Co-Fe Prussian blue analogues on the basis of ab initio quantum chemical cluster calculations. It is shown that the local potential energies of various spin states of Co are sensitive to the number of nearest neighbor Fe vacancies. As a result, the forward and backward structural changes are most readily initiated by excitation of different local regions by different photons. This mechanism suggests an effective strategy to realize photoinduced reversible phase transitions in a general system consisting of two local components.Comment: 4 pages, LaTex, 3 figures, to appear in Phys.
