TOTAL PRODUCTIVE MAINTENANCE AS A REQUIREMENT OF WORLD CLASS MANUFACTURING

Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is one of the approaches to World Class Manufacturing which is the application of TQM philosophy and tools in the fields of production, quality assurance and maintenance. TPM aims at eliminating the wastes due to machine downtime and product quality - By maximizing equipment effectiveness and productivity and eliminating machine losses; - By creating team ownership and involvement: - By promoting continuous improvement through problem solving activities involving people from production, quality assurance and maintenance. After outlining a possible approach to Total Productive Maintenance, the author examines how the contradiction of productive management strategies aiming at maximum availability with minimum costs can be resolved

Reliability based Customer Satisfaction Evaluation

The purpose of this article is to introduce the so-called Reliability based Customer Satisfaction Evaluation Method that is founded upon the evaluator functions using the approach of logistic-type evaluation. The scorecard based customer satisfaction measurement methods, which are widely used at Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider companies, were studied to draw conclusions on the goodness, reliability and usefulness of these traditional practices. The approach followed here was to understand the sources of uncertainties of these methods, and construct mathematical models to improve their reliability. The nature of customers´ perceptions about the services they receive as functions of the scores they give through pre-agreed scorecards was mathematically modeled in evaluator functions. A method for parameter setting of evaluator functions was developed to make the functions adequately reflecting the customers´ satisfaction perceptions

Supporting efforts to measure intellectual capital through the EFQM Model with the example of Hungarian National Quality Award winners

The bottom line of managing intellectual capital is the ability to measure its elements. Year by year intellectual capital literature and company practice line up new measuring attempts, but only some of them prove to have strong empirical evidence. Notwithstanding, several companies complete their traditional financial accountings with the evaluation of assets which are invisible in the books. First, our study introduces the main issues regarding the measurement of intellectual capital elements. Then it seeks the answer for the question how the EFQM-based self-assessment method can support an organization in its efforts to evaluate some of its intellectual capital elements

Az intellektuális tőke mérésének és értékelésének egyes kérdései

Az intellektuálistőke-elemek azonosításával, azok mérésével és értékelésével kapcsolatos kérdésekkel és a kérdések megválaszolásával foglalkozó empirikus kutatások eredményeinek bemutatásával egyre gyakrabban találkozunk a menedzsment-szakirodalomban. Az intellektuális tőke mutatószámrendszerrel történő mérésekor fellépő bizonytalanságok és torzító hatások azonosítása és elfogadása alapján olyan megközelítést kívánnak a szerzők bemutatni, amely a mérés és értékelés különválasztására épül. Kulcskérdés, hogy az intellektuális tőke a szervezet céljaihoz milyen mértékben tud hozzájárulni, azokat hogyan és milyen mértékben képes szolgálni. E hozzájárulási képesség mértékének megadása egyrészt az intellektuális tőke értékelését, másrészt a szervezet szempontjából tekintett hasznosságának meghatározását jelenti. Az intellektuális tőke mutatószámrendszerrel történő mérésekor annak különböző összetevőit más és más indikátorokkal és különböző skálákon mérik. A cikkben bemutatott értékelési eljárást minden egyes összetevőre alkalmazva olyan függvényeket kaptak a szerzők, melyek mindegyikének azonos az értékkészlete. Ez lehetővé teszi az egyes intellektuálistőke-összetevők aggregálását függetlenül attól, hogy az egyes összetevőket milyen mutatókkal és milyen skálán mérték. Megközelítésükkel hidat is kívánnak képezni a pénzügyi és nem pénzügyi értékelési módszerek között, hiszen megadják annak a lehetőségét, hogy az intellektuális tőke egyes összetevőit pénzben mérjék, majd az értéket reprezentáló pénzérték hasznosságát kifejezzék

Kockázat és megbízhatóság a menedzsmentben

A termékek és szolgáltatások kockázatának és megbízhatóságának modellezése dinamikusan fejlődik, mivel a kiszámíthatóság fontos szerepet tölt be az üzleti sikerben. A szerzők a szakirodalom s a vonatkozó szabványok áttekintésével bemutatják a kockázat és megbízhatóság modellezésének legfontosabb matematikai meghatározásait. A tanulmány áttekinti a valószínűségszámítás és a megbízhatóság-tervezését alapvető elgondolásait, melyek megalapozzák a megbízhatóság előrejelzését és a karbantartás tervezését. A tanulmány figyelmet fordít egy új, a meghibásodási görbe becslésére szolgáló eljárás bemutatására és a kádgörbe szerepére a megbízhatóság tervezése során. A karbantartási rendszerek ( megbízhatóságalapú karbantartás, teljes körű hatékony karbantartás, kockázatalapú karbantartás) kulcsfogalmait és a különböző ciklikus karbantartási stratégiákat szintén részletesen bemutatják a cikk szerzői

IMPLEMENTATION OF TOTAL PRODUCTIVE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM FOR AN ELECTRONIC COMPONENT PRODUCTION PROGRESS IN HUNGARY

By demonstrating the example of a multinational company in Hungary, in this paper presents some parts of the introduction of a TPM program. Since the Hungarian company conditions show a significant difference compared with characteristics of the Western European company environment, it was necessary to amplify the usual phases of the TPM introduction. It seems that this presentation of our recommendations for different approaches to the local situation Hungary will be usefull and practical for future use
