The Personal Software Process (PSP) is a structured software development process that is intended to help software engineers understand and improve their performance, by using a disciplined, data-driven procedure. The PSP was created by Watts Humphrey to apply the underlying principles of the Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI) Capability Maturity Model (CMM) to the software development practices of a single developer. It gives software engineers the process skills necessary to work on a Team Software Process (TSP) team. PSP training includes eight assignments in two courses – PSP Fundamentals and PSP Advanced. The report includes final analysis of all the data that was gathered during the training

This presentation introduces the Software Engineering Management Program (SEMP) in Bulgaria. The program is a partnership between world leaders in software engineering and technology and the leading Bulgarian universities in Informatics and Computer Science, managed by ESI Center Bulgaria and funded by the America for Bulgaria Foundation. The presentation will discuss the IT Project Management master's degree program, at New Bulgarian University (NBU) and the considerations to add SEI professional courses Leading a Development Team, PSP Fundamentals, and PSP Advanced to the academic curriculum. The presentation will focus on the pilot course Leading a Development Team as a first step to introducing PSP to IT Project Management master's degree students, the presenter's classroom experience, and the students' professional background and expectations. The presenter will cover the topics that were most challenging to introduce and what concepts the students found difficult to understand and embrace. The presentation will include final course feedback, conclusions about differences between academic and professional learners, and questions concerning the academic classroom experience. The goal of the presentation is to start a professional discussion in the community about improvement proposals to face academic challenges associated with TSP

    Get PDF
In this paper we present the results of browsing, analyzing and comparing many ontology mapping tools, approaches and methods. We extract and classify valuable parameters for strict and unambiguous tool or method description. Every mapping tool, algorithm or approach must have such a description, practically usable for both human and software agents and sufficient for easy checking if it suitable or not for a given task. We will use our classifications for developing ontology, conceptualizing all valuable metadata for semantic machine-processable mapping tools description

Advertisement is studied as one of the most common information signals for reducing the asymmetry of information. The model for formation of complex advertising products is proposed. Its use for advertisement creation will reduce the asymmetry of information to a minimum and, hence, will increase the number of customers and sales volumes of tourism products. The methodical approach for assessing the usefulness (quality) of advertising for reduction of the information asymmetry depending on cost efficiency for the creation and distribution of advertising means
