Corporate income tax in Latvia and the impact of its definition

Darba izstrÄdes rezultÄtÄ autore konstatÄja virkni uzÅÄmumu ienÄkuma nodokļa pozÄ«ciju aprÄÄ·inÄÅ”anas nianÅ”u, kÄ arÄ« Å”o nianÅ”u ietekmi uz uzÅÄmÄjdarbÄ«bu un izstrÄdÄja priekÅ”likumus to novÄrÅ”anai.The aim of the diploma work āCorporate income tax in Latvia and the impact of its definition reform on companyās businessā is to explore the current corporate income tax, analyze and assess their impact on companyās business and to develop recommendations in their application and improvement. The main tasks of the diploma are to explore changes in corporate tax in Latvia from January 1st of 2018, to assess differences between corporate income tax before and after the changes and to analyze the impact of corporate tax changes on companyās business. As a result of the job the author identified a series of nuances in the calculation of corporate income tax positions and the impact of these nuances on companyās business and developed proposals to prevent them

Latvia has been recognized as the country of origin of victims of human trafficking for several years. Latvians are subjected to exploitation abroad, less often within the country, which further complicates the identification, prevention and prosecution of human trafficking cases, resulting in a number of problems, such as retraining, time-consuming litigation, suspended sentences and even simple under-understanding of officials and citizens about trade trends and aspects.
The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to analyse the normative regulation, which envisages responsibility for human trafficking and its type - sending people for sexual exploitation, its application practice, to identify possible problems and offer a solution to them.
The bachelor's thesis will provide an answer on the nature of human trafficking, current forms of human trafficking, the compliance of the national anti-trafficking legal framework with the international anti-trafficking legal framework, as well as the Estonian and Lithuanian anti-trafficking legal framework. Human trafficking and its form - sending a person for sexual exploitation, determining the composition of a criminal offense - is essential for achieving the goal.

It is important to set the right tone for the discussion in the classroom and to interest them in it. Some students contribute ideas in almost every class conversations, however, some students keep silent during discussion. Therefore, it is important to find ways to involve all students in a communicative activity.
Organizing a discussion usually requires much time and effort. Especially a teacher with little experience might be embarrassed, because it might be unclear which discussion topic is suitable and interesting for students. Therefore, one of the ways how to avoid this problem is to allow students to prepare a presentation, to show it to peers and involve in thematic discussion afterwards.
The Paper was written with the aim to explore the effectiveness of studentsā chosen topics for improving discussion skills in English lessons. The theme was chosen because the author of the Paper observed studentsā unwillingness to discuss. The teacher wonders why students keep silent and do not give extended answers during the discussion.
The author of the Paper studied thematic literature and used a case study to show how presentation topics chosen by the students could make them interested and later lead to a discussion. During the discussion the author of the Paper made an observation and recorded the participation of every student. Self ā evaluation worksheets were designed and distributed with the aim to evaluate individual participation and contribution to discussion. Questionnaires for students were distributed at the end of the research to find out the effectiveness of studentsā chosen presentations and their attitude towards discussion themes organized by their classmates. Questionnaire also showed whether this kind of activity can promote the improvement of discussion skills.
The research results showed the author of the Paper that allowing student to choose a topic, present it and have a discussion afterwards positively influences studentsā general attitude towards discussion and helps to improve discussion skills in English language classes. However, to lead a discussion even with a help of a teacher it is difficult for students. Nevertheless such activity should be carried out more often, as in daily life and in the future they will have many discussions and nobody will help them in leading it. Therefore, the teacherās task is to teach how to lead and behave during the discussion

Infection prevention in cases of acute wounds

PÄc brÅ«Äu raÅ”anÄs iemesla tÄs klasificÄ uz akÅ«tÄm un hroniskÄm brÅ«cÄm. Veicot pÄtÄ«jumus tika izskaitļots, ka vismaz viena brÅ«ce ir apmÄram 3-4 cilvÄkiem no 1000 iedzÄ«votÄjiem. KÄ arÄ« pÄtÄ«jumos tika pierÄdÄ«ts, ka gada laikÄ nesadzÄ«st apmÄram 15% brÅ«Äu. Darba mÄrÄ·is ā izpÄtÄ«t infekciju prevenciju akÅ«tu brÅ«Äu gadÄ«jumos un to ietekmÄjoÅ”os faktorus. KopumÄ pÄtÄ«jumÄ piedalÄ«jÄs 82 respondenti. PÄtÄ«juma rezultÄti: tika analizÄtas un aprakstÄ«tas respondentu sniegtÄs atbildes uz aptaujas anketas jautÄjumiem. IzvirzÄ«tÄ pÄtÄ«juma hipotÄze tika apstiprinÄta, infekciju prevenciju akÅ«tu brÅ«Äu gadÄ«jumos ietekmÄ nepietiekama pacientu izglÄ«toÅ”ana. Pacienti nesaÅem pietiekoÅ”i daudz izglÄ«tojoÅ”Äs informÄcijas un tas ietekmÄ infekciju prevenciju un brÅ«Äu aprÅ«pi mÄjas apstÄkļos. AtslÄgvÄrdi: brÅ«ce, brÅ«Äu aprÅ«pe, infekcijas, nepietiekoÅ”a izglÄ«toÅ”anaBachelor's thesis topic "Infection prevention in cases of acute wounds". Wounds arise from a variety of reasons. Wounds can occur as a result of injuries, as well as after surgical intervention. According to the reason for the occurrence of wounds, they are classified into acute and chronic wounds. During research, it was calculated that at least one wound is present in about 3-4 people out of 1000 inhabitants. Also, studies have shown that approximately 15% of wounds do not heal within a year. The aim of the work is to study the prevention of infections in cases of acute wounds and the factors affecting them. The research tasks are to review and analyze the literature on wounds, infections and preventive measures; analyze Dorothea Orem's theory of self-care nursing and be able to relate it to my bachelor thesis; develop a research tool ā a survey questionnaire; conduct a quantitative research - a survey of respondents; collect data and analyze the obtained data; draw conclusions based on the research results. Research hypothesis - prevention of infections in cases of acute wounds is affected by insufficient patient education. The proposed hypothesis was confirmed. The research used the quantitative research method, the research instrument was a survey questionnaire with 13 questions. The study was conducted from April 17, 2023 to May 8, 2023. In total, 82 respondents participated in the study. Research results: the answers given by the respondents to the questions of the survey questionnaire were analyzed and described. The proposed research hypothesis was confirmed, the prevention of infections in cases of acute wounds is affected by insufficient patient education. It was concluded that the main causes of errors in the preparation of financial statements are inattentiveness, incompetence, and lack of time for accountants due to the large amounts of work. A limited review or audit of the financial statements may improve the quality of the financial statements, and significant improvements to the cooperation between the auditor and the accountant are required to ensure that the financial statements are prepared with the highest quality possible

Express Diagnostics of Proteolytic Activity of PeriodontopathogensāMethodological Approach
The species spectrum of the oral microbiome is considered to be the key factor in the development and progression of periodontal inflammatory disorders. The āred complexā including Porphyromonas gingivalis, Tannerella forsythia and Treponema denticola has the highest pathogenic potential. These bacteria have several biochemical mechanisms that allow them to colonize and destroy periodontal tissues. Proteolytic enzymes play a crucial role in this process. Early diagnosis of pathological conditions induced by microbial contamination allows for the timely treatment of periodontitis. Otherwise, the development of the disease may lead to tooth loss. A total of 48 patients aged 18 to 65 years old who required professional oral hygiene were recruited for this clinical study. Microbial content analysis of dental plaque from the interdental space and the back of the tongue was performed using real-time PCR. To determine the proteolytic activity of oral bacteria, the new express diagnostic method was applied (diagnostic sensitivity, 0.875; specificity, 0.928). The results demonstrate a strong and significant correlation between the new method and the PCR analysis (r = 0.785, p < 0.001). These results show that the new express method can be valuable as an early diagnostic method for periodontal inflammatory disorders caused by the āred complexā bacteria
CH3NH3PbI3-XCl2 Perovskite Solar Cell Grown by Interdiffusion of Stacking Layers
Organometalic halide perovskites in last two years have emerged as new class of light absorbers that have
demonstrated exceptional progress in solar cell performance [1]. To overcome pinholes problem in
CH3NH3PbI3-xClx we have been used modified interdiffusion method [2]: on patterned ITO coated glass after
cleaning it in chloroform, deionized water, acetone and 2-propanol in an ultrasonic bath for a 15 min each; aqueous
PEDOT:PSS layer was spin coated at 8000 rpm for 50 s. After heating this layer at 140ā¦C for 30 min the mixture of
PbI2 and PbCl2 (with molar ratio 3.4) dissolved in DMF and DMSO mixture with molar ratio 3 was spin coated at a
rate 6000 rpm at 65ā¦C using 65ā¦C hot solution and was dried at 70ā¦C in argon atmosphere for 45 minutes. On top of
this layer CH3NH3I solution in 2-propanol (40 mg/mL) was spin coated at a rate 6000 rpm at 65ā¦C. The obtained
bilayer system was annealed in closed system at 107ā¦C for 1 h and additionally 1 h in argon atmosphere. After
cooling to room temperature system was covered with PCBM dissolved in DCB (30 mg/mL) at a rate 2000 rpm for
60 s and annealed in argon atmosphere at 105ā¦C for 1 h, cooled down and put in vacuum chamber where 50 nm
thick C60 layer and 60 nm thick Ag electrode were thermally evaporated at pressure 10-6 mbar.
All photoelectric measurements have been made in the same homemade vacuum cryostat where electrode
was deposited at p~5ā10-7 mbar without breaking the vacuum and moving the cell. The spectral dependences of short
circuit photocurrent external quantum efficiency (EQE), fill factor (FF) and open circuit voltage (VOC) has been
investigated in spectral range 370-900 nm, using synhro-detection technique and PC controlled data storage
equipment
