Pengaruh Latihan Interval terhadap Kecepatan Lari 100 Meter pada Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Budhi Luhur Kota Pekanbaru
Based on my observation of student in class VIII SMP Budhi Luhur Kota Pekanbaru on atletics, they are not yet have no speed of run 100 metre. Especially in the rarely run 100 metre. This is due to the lack of a systematic workout, especially in strength training and adequate physical endurance. This is a challenge that needs to get attention from various circles, for which efforts need coaching achievements in athletics, especially in the rarely run. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of interval training on the speed run 100 metre in class VIII SMP Budi Luhur Pekanbaru. As for who made the entire population in this study the research object, the eighth grade students of SMP Budi Luhur Pekanbaru City numbering 36 people. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, ie sampling based on certain grounds. In this study the sample to be used is a male student for interval training will be much easier to implement if the sample is homogenous ie the male students only. Thus the number of samples in this study amounted to 11 people. The instruments used to collect data that pre-test and post test run 100 meters. The data obtained was analyzed using t-test. Based on the results of the t test results can be seen that t for 8.74> 1.833 (t-tables) and then the hypothesis is accepted, it means that there is a significant influence on the results of the exercise interval speed to run 100 meters in class VIII SMP Budi Luhur Pekanbar
Mechanical and thermal properties of starch films reinforced with microcellulose fibres
The use of starch as food packaging material has drawn increased attention due to its biodegradability, availability, and cost-effective. In order to improve the limitations of starch films in terms of mechanical and thermal resistance, the bio-composite concept was employed. In this work, microcellulose fibres (MCF) were incorporated into thermoplastic starch (TPS) films at various loading contents (1, 5, and 10 wt%). The MCF was prepared via NaOH/urea dissolution, followed by ultrasonication. The obtained MCF was characterized by FTIR and FESEM, and the size was in the range of 2 to 15 µm in diameter and 150 µm to hundreds of micrometres in length. The effect of the MCF addition on mechanical and thermal properties of starch films was investigated using universal testing machine and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), respectively. Due to similar polysaccharide structures and good interfacial interactions, the tensile strength (TS) and the elongation at break (EAB) of the films increased with the addition of MCF, but only at 1 wt% loading content. Meanwhile, there was no significant improvement in the degradation temperature of the composite films, due to the presence of hemicellulose compounds that interrupted the crystallinity of the MCF. The results indicated that the MCF has the potential to be utilized as reinforcement in bio-based polymers for food packaging applications

Physicochemical Properties Analysis of Three Indexes Pineapple (Ananas Comosus) Peel Extract Variety N36
AbstractPineapple peel is a major waste in pineapple canning industry. It has limited data on the physicochemical properties of pineapple peel for several ripening stages. It has high added value in many areas of study and approach to green technology development. For such industrial processes to be technically and economically feasible, it is important to have the analysis data of the physicochemical properties. Thus, physicochemical properties study of pineapple peel extract is very important in fruit waste extract technology. This study examined the physicochemical properties of the pineapple peel extract variety N36 for three different ripening stages: indexes 1, 2 and 3. Physicochemical properties such as total soluble solids (TSS), pH, titratable acidity (TA), absorbance and pulp content of pineapple peel extract were determined. It was found that the physicochemical properties: TSS, pH values, TA, absorbance and pulp content were significantly increased at the 5% level with the increase in ripening stages. These new data on ripening changes occurring in pineapple (Ananas comosus) peel variety N36 can contribute to further development in the agricultural sector
Analysis of Physiochemical Parameters to Evaluate the Drinking Water Quality in the State of Perak, Malaysia
YesThe drinking water quality was investigated in suspected parts of Perak state, Malaysia, to ensure the continuous supply of clean and safe drinking water for the public health protection. In this regard, a detailed physical and chemical analysis of drinking water samples was carried out in different residential and commercial areas of the state. A number of parameters such as pH, turbidity, conductivity, total suspended solids (TSS), total dissolved solids (TDS), and heavy metals such as Cu, Zn, Mg, Fe, Cd, Pb, Cr, As, Hg, and Sn were analysed for each water sample collected during winter and summer periods. The obtained values of each parameter were compared with the standard values set by the World Health Organization (WHO) and local standards such as National Drinking Water Quality Standard (NDWQS). The values of each parameter were found to be within the safe limits set by the WHO and NDWQS. Overall, the water from all the locations was found to be safe as drinking water. However, it is also important to investigate other potential water contaminations such as chemicals and microbial and radiological materials for a longer period of time, including human body fluids, in order to assess the overall water quality of Perak state
