    A PKC-Dependent Recruitment of MMP-2 Controls Semaphorin-3A Growth-Promoting Effect in Cortical Dendrites

There is increasing evidence for a crucial role of proteases and metalloproteinases during axon growth and guidance. In this context, we recently described a functional link between the chemoattractive Sema3C and Matrix metalloproteinase 3 (MMP3). Here, we provide data demonstrating the involvement of MMP-2 to trigger the growth-promoting effect of Sema3A in cortical dendrites. The in situ analysis of MMP-2 expression and activity is consistent with a functional growth assay demonstrating in vitro that the pharmacological inhibition of MMP-2 reduces the growth of cortical dendrites in response to Sema3A. Hence, our results suggest that the selective recruitment and activation of MMP-2 in response to Sema3A requires a PKC alpha dependent mechanism. Altogether, we provide a second set of data supporting MMPs as effectors of the growth-promoting effects of semaphorins, and we identify the potential signalling pathway involved

Текст статьи не публикуется в открытом доступе в соответствии с политикой журнала.The article presents results of identification of somatic mutation in in gene Junus kinase-2 (V617F JAK2) in blood samples of persons included in program of dispensarization of adult population and periodic preventive examinations of workers of railroad transport. The technology of allele-specific polymerase chain reaction in real-time in pooled trials from blood samples received by clinical diagnostic laboratory for hematological analysis was developed with purpose of carrying out study. The results of testing among 986persons aged from 45 to 90 years (median - 69 years) permitted to establish 0.7% of patients (3 females and 4 males) with mutation V617F JAK2. The high thrombogenic potential of mutation V617F JAK2 and its involvement into pathogenesis of chronic myeloid tumors makes appropriate to include test on its detection into menu of laboratory analyses of program of dispensarization of population

Drilling of parametric Subbotina-403 well in the Ukrainian sector of Kerch shelf of the Black Sea conducted in 2004-2006 was marked by the first oil gusher within water areas of Ukraine. Kerch-Taman (Pivdennokerchenskyy) flexure with zones of anticline folds of northeast strike after preliminary assessment of resources in 2004 was enriched with a new oil field Subbotina and deserves a modern assessment of the prospects of oil and gas. On this basis reasonable priorities of geological and geophysical exploration are substantiated
