Propuesta curricular del programa de diseño industrial de la Universidad Católica Popular del Risaralda

Desde hace cuatro años aproximadamente, en un clima alentado institucionalmente, el Programa de Diseño Industrial de la Universidad Católica Popular del Risaralda, ha venido adelantando su reflexión pedagógica en torno a la enseñabilidad del diseño, su didáctica y su aprendizaje para contribuir al ejercicio docente, al cumplimiento de objetivos del programa y a la articulación del trabajo de las asignaturas. Además de encarar recientemente los desafíos que plantea la formación de diseñadores industriales por competencias y por créditos académicos de acuerdo a los lineamientos de la educación colombiana y al cumplimiento de estándares de calidad

Implementación del Centro de Innovación y Desarrollo Tecnológico (CIDT) : Experiencias y lecciones aprendidas, 2014 - 2017

El Centro de Innovación y Desarrollo Tecnológico (CIDT), situado en el municipio de Pereira, es un centro dinamizador de orden nacional que articula capacidades para atender e inducir la demanda de servicios del conocimiento. A través del desarrollo tecnológico, el emprendimiento e la innovación, busca contribuir a la transformación productiva y social del país, con criterios de sostenibilidad. Inicia su implementación en el año 2014, como respuesta a la problemática del estancamiento tecnológico local, la baja perdurabilidad empresarial, el desempleo y el bajo valor agregado del sector servicios. Lo cual históricamente ha redundado en altos niveles de pobreza, ilegalidad, violencia y deterioro ambiental

The Research Journey as a Challenge Towards New Trends

The academic community of the department of Risaralda, in its permanent interest in evidencing the results of the research processes that are carried out from the Higher Education Institutions and as a product of the VI meeting of researchers of the department of Risaralda held in November 2021 presents its work: “The journey of research as a challenge towards new trends”, which reflects the result of the latest research and advances in different lines of knowledge in Agricultural Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences and Technology and Information Sciences, which seek to solve and meet the demands of the different sectors. This work would not have been possible without the help of each of the teachers, researchers and authors who presented their articles that make up each of the chapters of the book, to them our gratitude for their commitment, dedication and commitment, since their sole purpose is to contribute from the academy and science to scientific and technological development in the search for the solution of problems and thus contribute to transform the reality of our society and communities. La cultura material cafetera: Estado del arte

Starting from the study of related investigations, a state of the art that contributes to the reflection and the assesment of the objects of the material coffee culture is established, recognizing the productive activity of the coffee as a current economy, around it the life of people in the territory of the cultural coffee landscape has been developed. That is why, being the objects simbols of the culture, its study allows to tell the advance of the technique and at the same time of the society that produces it, so its analysis makes possible to determine the needs and the opportunities that from the industrial design can be responded, and also to take advantage of this in order to favour the sustainability not only of the coffee industry but also of its culture.A partir de la revisión de las investigaciones relacionadas se establece un estado del arte que contribuye a la reflexión y la valoración de los objetos de la cultura material cafetera, reconociendo la actividad productiva del café como una economía vigente, desde la cual se ha desarrollado la vida de las personas del Paisaje Cultural Cafetero. Siendo los objetos símbolos de la cultura, su estudio permite dar cuenta del avance de la técnica y al mismo tiempo de la sociedad que los gesta, además hace posible determinar las necesidades y las oportunidades que tiene el diseño industrial para responder y aprovechar de una manera innovadora favoreciendo la sostenibilidad no sólo de la industria cafetera sino también de su cultura

Nuevos conceptos de diseño de producto para la industria y la artesanía locales

Recognize the needs and potential of local context to detect performance opportunities for the future UCPR designer. From this recognition, generating new design concepts in line with the surrounding reality adequately responding to the a v a i l a b i l i t y o f m a t e r i a l r e s o u r c e s a n d technological capabilities of the site for their processing. From this view addresses the design project approach to generate alternatives for objects in which to apply resources in new ways, techniques and processes that are available.Reconocer las necesidades y potencialidades del contexto local permite detectar las oportunidades de actuación para el futuro diseñador de la UCPR. Desde ese reconocimiento, la generación de nuevos conceptos de diseño se ajusta a la realidad circundante respondiendo de manera adecuada a la disponibilidad de los recursos materiales y a las capacidades tecnológicas del lugar para la transformación de los mismos. Desde esa mirada se aborda el planteamiento de proyectos de diseño con el fin de generar alternativas de objetos en los cuales se aplique de manera novedosa los recursos, las técnicas y procesos que se encuentran disponibles

La responsabilidad social del diseñador

The real world demands from designers answers tailored to the priority issues of society. Poverty, unemployment, water scarcity, global warming, lack of trahsportation, violence, health care, among others, are just some examples of problems that various regions of our country suffer and which at the same time are the opportunities for design. It is urgent that designers take their responsibility towards this problems, through participation and research process, so that they can contribute to a better development of the people involved. El mundo real demanda de los diseñadores respuestas ajustadas a las problemáticas prioritarias de la sociedad que adolecen varias regiones de nuestro país y que a la vez se constituyen en oportunidades para diseñar. Es urgente que los diseñadores asuman su responsabilidad frente a tales problemas, a través de procesos de investigación y de participación, de tal manera que puedan contribuir al mejor desarrollo de la población comprometida. Este documento pretende alimentar la reflexión frente a dicho compromiso. En la asignatura de Diseño Social se adelantan proyectos que atienden las necesidades de las personas o comunidades.

Diseño para la sustentabilidad y el desarrollo local

Partiendo de la realidad contextual como escenario para pensar de manera sustentable el acto de proyectar productos industriales, así como teniendo en cuenta los planteamientos del desarrollo sostenible y del diseño con responsabilidad social y ambiental, este texto reflexiona acerca de estas temáticas y los nuevos roles del diseñador. Actualmente, la preocupación se está centrando en el diseño de productos industriales ecoamigables, junto con el desarrollo de certificaciones y sistemas de gestión ambiental. El ecodiseño es una metodología para el diseño de productos industriales que tiene en cuenta el medio ambiente como una variable adicional a otras tradicionales, como son la calidad, los costos, la seguridad o la ergonomía. Surgen así conceptos como elCiclo deVida y su análisis y se desarrollan herramientas específicas, como el método ecoindicator
