Agile Requirements Engineering: A systematic literature review
Nowadays, Agile Software Development (ASD) is used to cope with increasing complexity in system development. Hybrid development models, with the integration of User-Centered Design (UCD), are applied with the aim to deliver competitive products with a suitable User Experience (UX). Therefore, stakeholder and user involvement during Requirements Engineering (RE) are essential in order to establish a collaborative environment with constant feedback loops. The aim of this study is to capture the current state of the art of the literature related to Agile RE with focus on stakeholder and user involvement. In particular, we investigate what approaches exist to involve stakeholder in the process, which methodologies are commonly used to present the user perspective and how requirements management is been carried out.
We conduct a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with an extensive quality assessment of the included studies. We identified 27 relevant papers. After analyzing them in detail, we derive deep insights to the following aspects of Agile RE: stakeholder and user involvement, data gathering, user perspective, integrated methodologies, shared understanding, artifacts, documentation and Non-Functional Requirements (NFR). Agile RE is a complex research field with cross-functional influences. Globally Distributed Software Process Engineering
Software processes is becoming a more addressed
issue in software development companies every day. These
processes are defined regardless of the environment in which
they run. To incorporate aspects of that environment is essential,
especially if referring to GSE. Despite this fact, the process itself
should not be necessary modified. This paper provides a first
draft of a research focused on software process definition,
modeling, implementation and evaluation in a GSE environment,
so as to facilitate the information exchange through a
hierarchical process that does not involve modification of specific

Agile values and their implementation in practice
Today agile approaches are often used for the
development of digital products. Since their development in
the 90s, Agile Methodologies, such as Scrum and Extreme
Programming, have evolved. Team collaboration is strongly
influenced by the values and principles of the Agile Manifesto. The
values and principles described in the Agile Manifesto support
the optimization of the development process. In this article, the
current operation is analyzed in Agile Product Development
Processes. Both, the cooperation in the project team and the
understanding of the roles and tasks will be analyzed. The results
are set in relation to the best practices of Agile Methodologies. A
quantitative questionnaire related to best practices in Agile Product
Development was developed. The study was carried out with
175 interdisciplinary participants from the IT industry. For the
evaluation of the results, 93 participants were included who have
expertise in the subject area Agile Methodologies. On one hand,
it is shown that the collaborative development of product-related
ideas brings benefits. On the other hand, it is investigated which
effect a good understanding of the product has on decisions made
during the implementation. Furthermore, the skillset of product
managers, the use of pair programming, and the advantages of

Detecting Functional Requirements Inconsistencies within Multi-teams Projects Framed into a Model-based Web Methodology
One of the most essential processes within the software project life cycle is the REP (Requirements
Engineering Process) because it allows specifying the software product requirements. This specification
should be as consistent as possible because it allows estimating in a suitable manner the effort required to
obtain the final product. REP is complex in itself, but this complexity is greatly increased in big, distributed
and heterogeneous projects with multiple analyst teams and high integration between functional modules.
This paper presents an approach for the systematic conciliation of functional requirements in big projects
dealing with a web model-based approach and how this approach may be implemented in the context of the
NDT (Navigational Development Techniques): a web methodology. This paper also describes the empirical

Enterprise Experience into the Integration of Human-Centered Design and Kanban
he integration of Human-Centered Design (HCD) and Agile Software Development (ASD) promises the
development of competitive products comprising a good User Experience (UX). This study has investigated
the integration of HCD and Kanban with the aim to gain industrial experiences in a real world context. A
case study showed that requirements flow into the development process in a structured manner by adding a
design board. To this end, the transparency concerning recurring requirements increased. We contribute to
the body of knowledge of software development by providing practical insights into Human-Centered Agile
Development (HCAD). On one hand, it is shown that the integration of HCD and Kanban leads to a product
with a good UX and makes the development process more human-centered. On the other hand, we conclude

Entity Identification Problem in Big and Open Data
Big and Open Data provide great opportunities to businesses to enhance their competitive advantages if
utilized properly. However, during past few years’ research in Big and Open Data process, we have
encountered big challenge in entity identification reconciliation, when trying to establish accurate
relationships between entities from different data sources. In this paper, we present our innovative Intelligent
Reconciliation Platform and Virtual Graphs solution that addresses this issue. With this solution, we are able
to efficiently extract Big and Open Data from heterogeneous source, and integrate them into a common
analysable format. Further enhanced with the Virtual Graphs technology, entity identification reconciliation
is processed dynamically to produce more accurate result at system runtime. Moreover, we believe that our
technology can be applied to a wide diversity of entity identification problems in several domains, e.g., e-

An Extension of NDT to Model Entity Reconciliation Problems
Within the development of software systems, the development of web applications may be one of the most
widespread at present due to the great number of advantages they provide such as: multiplatform, speed of
access or the not requiring extremely powerful hardware among others. The fact that so many web applications
are being developed, makes grotesque the volume of information that it is generated daily. In the management
of all this information, it appears the entity reconciliation problem, which is to identify objects referring to
the same real-world entity. This paper proposes to give a solution to this problem through a web perspective.
To this end, the NDT methodology has been taken as a reference and has been extended adding new activities,

A Scrum-based approach to CMMI maturity level 2 in Web Development environments
Scrum has become one of the most popular agile methodologies, either alone or combined with other agile practices. Besides, CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) is accepted as a suitable model to measure the maturity of the organizations when developing or acquiring software. Although these two approaches are often considered antagonist, the use of an agile approach to reach certain CMMI maturity levels may result beneficial to organizations that develop Web systems, since they would take the advantages of both approaches. In Web community, this union may be very interesting, because agile approaches fits with the special needs of Web development, and they could be a useful tool for companies getting a certain grade of maturity. This work analyzes the goals of CMMI maturity level 2 and the feasibility of achieving them using the practices proposed by Scrum, trying to assess whether the use of this methodology is suitable for meeting the CMMI generic and specific goals or not. Detecting Conflicts and Inconsistencies in Web Application Requirements
Web applications evolve fast. One of the main reasons for this
evolution is that new requirements emerge and change constantly. These new
requirements are posed either by customers or they are the consequence of
users’ feedback about the application. One of the main problems when dealing
with new requirements is their consistency in relationship with the current
version of the application. In this paper we present an effective approach for
detecting and solving inconsistencies and conflicts in web software
requirements. We first characterize the kind of inconsistencies arising in web
applications requirements and then show how to isolate them using a modeldriven
approach. With a set of examples we illustrate our approach
A Model-Driven approach for functional test case generation
Test phase is one of the most critical phases in software engineering life cycle to assure the final system quality. In this context, functional system test cases verify that the system under test fulfills its functional specification. Thus, these test cases are frequently designed from the different scenarios and alternatives depicted in functional requirements. The objective of this paper is to introduce a systematic process based on the Model-Driven paradigm to automate the generation of functional test cases from functional requirements. For this aim, a set of metamodels and transformations and also a specific language domain to use them is presented.
