This paper discusses the investment prospects in Tilapia fry and fingerling production in raceways created from the concrete drainage channel of a reservoir or pond of an existing fish farm in Nigeria. With an initial capital of 1,300 and an annual operating cost of 310 spent on procurement of fish feed and brood stock for a 10 m super(2) raceway per se, a net profit of 4,100 and 5,090 would be realized from Sarotherodon galilaeus in the first year and subsequent years of production respectively, assuming that the fingerling production rate has been maintained through the production period. It is concluded that the application of this approach of optimizing the use of available resources in the fish farm for the productive breeding of Tilapia fry and fingerlings will apart from alleviating the problem of scarcity of stocking materials in the country, increase the profit margin accruing to the fish farme

Finally, Part III illustrates how welfare programs can be reformed for constitutional compliance

The calculus, known to be a branch of mathematics dealing with differentiation and integration of variable quantities, is used to solve many mathematical problems. This paper explores these problem-solving qualities of calculus to determine how they enhance the practice of political marketing in our rapidly democratizing world. This paper builds on recent studies which identified the roles of marketing strategies in politics as responsive leadership, mass mobilization, political branding, conflict management, promotion of democratic ideals. The focus of the present study is to determine how best to sustain these roles in Nigerian electoral democracy. Four dominant political parties that emerged from the 2003 General Elections were sampled out of thirty political parties that participated in the elections and their electorates. Eight hundred (800) copies of the questionnaire were administered, and six hundred and twenty six (626) were returned; out of which five hundred and ninety eight (598) were found usable. Their answers to the questionnaire formed the data which were analyzed with tables, frequencies, and percentages to crystallize the findings. The findings show that marketing strategies in Nigerian electoral politics can be sustained through continuous political enlightenment, involvement of innovative politicians, basic marketing training for the operators of the political system, continuous use of marketing research and planning in politics. Based on these findings, it is recommended that Nigerian political actors(including democratic institutions) should take deliberate steps to increase the magnitude of Political marketing by acting out and thinking in marketing terms, among others
