Learning Analytics for English Language Teaching
In recent times, online learning platforms get more and more attention and the number of collected data is growing. Learning analytics is a valuable opportunity to gain specific information for a better understanding of student's learning behaviour and to improve their learning success. In this work, the collected data of the online learning platform www.more-online.at is analysed and first research results are presented. The main objective is to analyse the usage behaviour over a school year and to show the diffusion of the online platform among provinces in Austria, different school types and other characteristics. Furthermore, the content of the online platform is put under closer examination to enable decisions about the efficiency and effectiveness of different types of exercises
ICT and Assistive Technology in Teachers Education and Training
Abstract. There is a growing recognition that an appropriate up to date preparation of all teachers and other educational personnel working with people with disabilities has to focus on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and especially on Assistive Technologies (AT). Numerous activities and projects related to teacher education and training have been performed the last years. Also the field of AT made a lot of efforts to towards training an teaching. Often both fields do their own approach to the topic and do not co-ordinate their activities. In this paper activities will be presented to integrate modules on AT into mainstream teacher training programs. 1

Deep RL at Scale: Sorting Waste in Office Buildings with a Fleet of Mobile Manipulators
We describe a system for deep reinforcement learning of robotic manipulation
skills applied to a large-scale real-world task: sorting recyclables and trash
in office buildings. Real-world deployment of deep RL policies requires not
only effective training algorithms, but the ability to bootstrap real-world
training and enable broad generalization. To this end, our system combines
scalable deep RL from real-world data with bootstrapping from training in
simulation, and incorporates auxiliary inputs from existing computer vision
systems as a way to boost generalization to novel objects, while retaining the
benefits of end-to-end training. We analyze the tradeoffs of different design
decisions in our system, and present a large-scale empirical validation that
includes training on real-world data gathered over the course of 24 months of
experimentation, across a fleet of 23 robots in three office buildings, with a
total training set of 9527 hours of robotic experience. Our final validation
also consists of 4800 evaluation trials across 240 waste station
configurations, in order to evaluate in detail the impact of the design
decisions in our system, the scaling effects of including more real-world data,
and the performance of the method on novel objects. The projects website and
