Some two-dimensional extensions of Bougerol's identity in law for the exponential functional of linear Brownian motion
We present a two-dimensional extension of an identity in distribution due to
Bougerol \cite{Bou} that involves the exponential functional of a linear
Brownian motion. Even though this identity does not extend at the level of
processes, we point at further striking relations in this direction
Convex Tours of Bounded Curvature
We consider the motion planning problem for a point constrained to move along
a smooth closed convex path of bounded curvature. The workspace of the moving
point is bounded by a convex polygon with m vertices, containing an obstacle in
a form of a simple polygon with vertices. We present an O(m+n) time
algorithm finding the path, going around the obstacle, whose curvature is the
smallest possible.Comment: 11 pages, 5 figures, abstract presented at European Symposium on

Genetic algorithms for automatic regroupment of Air Traffic Control sectors
http://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=546164International audienceIn this paper, we show how genetic algorithms can be used to compute automatically a balanced regroupement of Air Traffic Control sectors to optimally reduce the number of controller teams during daily low flow periods
Des éléphants antiques (Palaeoloxodon antiquus) à Brétignolles-sur-Mer (Vendée, France)
Following the 1989-90 winter storms, remains of several straight-tusked elephants as well as a rich quaternary paleoflora were found on the strand of La Parée beach in Brétignolles-sur-Mer (Vendée, France). The story of these findings, the diggings of the bones, the dating and the paleoenvironment of the deposits are mentioned in this article. The sediments are old "peat bogs" which belong to two distinct eras : Pleistocene (peat bog holding the remains of straight-tusked elephants) and Holocene (peat bog showing tracks of Bovidae and prints of tools, and higher peat bogs)
