(Eng) This paper presents the theory and methodology for the adjustment of the negative sequence current protection
function (PF) ANSI 46 of a synchronous generator with poles and poles, for a multifunctional relay SIEMENS
7UM62 that uses for its logic of decision the curve of time of heating allowed of the machine before the in
-
crease of the magnitude of negative sequence Also the consequences and the damages that can be caused by
the excess of current of negative sequence circulating by the stator of the generator are explained.
In addition, its functional diagram is illustrated by identifying its input signals: data (settings), analog and bi
-
nary signals; It also describes in detail its decision process and exit signals. This logical diagram was divided
into 3 sub-diagrams to identify the causes that originate their outputs: alarms, startup, firing or blocking, this
way of illustrating the process by stages allows greater clarity, since the explanation process is more didactic
than the one presented by the manufacturer in the manual.
As an example of an illustration, the calculations of the adjustment criteria of the ANSI 46 PF applied to a
salient pole generator from Unit 1 of the Salvajina Hydroelectric Plant are presented in detail. This protection

On Auxiliary Fields in BF Theories
We discuss the structure of auxiliary fields for non-Abelian BF theories in
arbitrary dimensions. By modifying the classical BRST operator, we build the
on-shell invariant complete quantum action. Therefore, we introduce the
auxiliary fields which close the BRST algebra and lead to the invariant
extension of the classical action.Comment: 7 pages, minor changes, typos in equations corrected and

Non Abelian TQFT and scattering of self dual field configuration
A non-abelian topological quantum field theory describing the scattering of
self-dual field configurations over topologically non-trivial Riemann surfaces,
arising from the reduction of 4-dim self-dual Yang-Mills fields, is introduced.
It is shown that the phase space of the theory can be exactly quantized in
terms of the space of holomorphic structures over stable vector bundles of
degree zero over Riemann surfaces. The Dirac monopoles are particular static
solutions of the field equations. Its relation to topological gravity is
discussed.Comment: 13 pages, Late
Nanotechnology measurements of the Young's modulus of polymeric materials
Making use of atomic force microscopy (AFM) —known as the state-of-the-art technology for handling matter on an atomic and molecular scale—, this paper describes the use of a nanotechnology technique for characterizing properties of polymeric materials. AFM measurement on two materials (polyamide and polystyrene) allowed to compare the performance of two distinct multi-asperity adhesion models based on the JKR (Johnson-Kendall-Robert) and DMT (Derajaguin- Muller-Toporov) theories, when assessing the Young’s Modulus (modulus of elasticity) of the investigated materials. Experimental results confirm that the JKR model processed through a MatLab algorithm produces more reliable results of the Young’s Modulus than the DMT model built-in in the AFM software
(Eng) This paper presents a new methodology for the correct design of transformers used in power multilevel inverters common source type. The proposed methodology represents a solution to the problems of distortion in the waveform, voltage drop and loss of efficiency caused by the miscalculation of the transformer using conventional methodology. To validate the methodology two prototypes under different perspectives were built, conventional and proposed, in order to verify the results, which support the solution to the problems described and shown an improvement in performance of the power converter.(Spa) En este trabajo se presenta una nueva metodología para el correcto diseño de transformadores utilizados en inversores de potencia multinivel tipo fuente común.
Features of dengue and chikungunya infections of colombian children under 24 months of age admitted to the emergency department
We aimed to assess clinical and laboratory differences between dengue and chikungunya in children <24 months of age in a comparative study. We collected retrospective clinical and laboratory data confirmed by NS1/IgM for dengue for 19 months (1 January 2013 to 17 August 2014). Prospective data for chikungunya confirmed by real-time polymerase chain reaction were collected for 4 months (22 September 2014-14 December 2014). Sensitivity and specificity [with 95% confidence interval (CI)] were reported for each disease diagnosis. A platelet count <150 000 cells/ml at emergency admission best characterized dengue, with a sensitivity of 67% (95% CI, 53-79) and specificity of 95% (95% CI, 82-99). The algorithm developed with classification and regression tree analysis showed a sensitivity of 93% (95% CI, 68-100) and specificity of 38% (95% CI, 9-76) to diagnose dengue. Our study provides potential differential characteristics between chikungunya and dengue in young children, especially low platelet counts. © The Author [2017].Universidad Nacional de Colombia, UN

Congruences in regular categories
