THE EFFECT OF THE CEMENT TYPE AND OF CURING ON THE MASS AND DEFORMATIONS OF HARDENED CEMENT PASTE

We have prepared test cylinders out of three cements significantly different in composition (clean portland cement, cement with 40% blast furnace slag content and cement with 20% fly ash content) changing the water/cement ratio (0.10, 0.15, 0.20) and the stamping force (5, 15, 50, 100 N/mm2). The cylinders were cured under different conditions (air of 50-60% or 95% relative humidity or in lime saturated water), examined the change in length and the mass of them by time and determined their strength at the age of 90 days. Out of the three cement types - stamped under the same conditions - the cylinders with fly ash content had the biggest porosity. The curing method has significantly influenced the change of porosity, mass and deformation of the cylinders by time. The effect of cement type has shown on one hand in porosity and on the other hand especially in the initial deformations of the cylinders the physical and chemical processes during setting (e.g. formation of ettringite)

Az egyes dokumentumok tartalmi összefoglalása során a cél egy dokumentum rövidebb változatának előállítása úgy, hogy annak fő információtartalma a kivonatban megőrződjön. Cikkünkben az anonimizált bírósági határozatokhoz készült extraktív kivonatoló rendszer fejlesztése során szerzett tapasztalatokat ismertetjük, különös tekintettel a kivonatok hosszával (mondatszám) kapcsolatban felmerült kérdésekre, és az azokra adott válaszainkra. A kivonatokkal egy jogi adatbázis felhasználóinak találati listában való könnyebb orientációját kívántuk támogatni

ANALYSIS OF DIFFERENT CEMENT BASED PASTES IN S02 AND N02 ATMOSPHERES

The paper explains the behaviour of cements of different composition in atmospheres rich in sulphur-dioxide and nitrogen-dioxide. As a result of 180 day long exposition to sulphur-dioxide rich atmosphere the minimal increase of the sulphate ion compound (4%) occurred in cements containing 20% fly ash, while the maximum increase (7%) was found in cements with 40% slag content. The results for portland cements were between these two extreme values. While on the surface of portland cement samples a well-adhesive salt layer appeared, the outer 0.8-1.0 mm of samples with 40% slag peeled off by the end of the ISO day long treatment period. The main constituent of both the salt and the peeled off layer was gypsum, formed from the portlandite and the carbonate phase of the samples. The nitrate content in ISO day old samples stored in nitrogen-dioxide rich atmosphere turned out to be between 1.1-1.4% unaffected by the composition of the cement

MORPHOMETRIC MEASUREMENTS OF RED FOXES (Vulpes vulpes) IN SOMOGY COUNTY, HUNGARY

The red fox (Vulpes vulpes) has the widest natural distribution of any terrestrial carnivore. Sexual dimorphism in this species is well known and is frequently observed in body and skull measurements. Morphological analysis is essential because the skull and body morphologies reflect many population/individual characteristics, genetic distances, environmental effects, and growth-affecting factors. Our study presents the first comprehensive analysis of red fox body and skull morphometry in Hungary. We performed morphometric measurements on 200 red foxes at two developmental stages, juvenile and adult, of different sexes, male and female, from Somogy County, Hungary, between January 2021 and January 2022. Statistical tests showed significant differences in all seven body measurements (body weight, total body length, tail length, head length, wither height, hind leg (left) length, and neck circumference of adult red foxes between the sexes, being significantly lower in the case of females than males. Significant differences were also found between the sexes in adult red fox skull measurements (total skull length, zygomatic width, and mandible length). In the case of juvenile red foxes, not all body dimensions differed significantly between the sexes (body weight, head length, and neck circumference did not differ significantly). We also found significant differences between the sexes in skull dimensions, except for zygomatic width. Regarding significant differences, the values for females were lower than those for males. Concerning the red foxes in Hungary, we found evidence of sexual dimorphism in all body and skull measurements in adult red foxes, which were larger in males, but not in all of the dimensions in juveniles
