    Modelling the personage’s fictional consciousness in the play by Igor Kostetskyi “The twins will meet again”

    Get PDF
    The objective of the article is to outline the correlations between the usage of the elements of the  absurdist aesthetics, different artistic paradoxes and methods of modelling the fictional consciousness of personage. The aim of research is to define internal and external dimensions of personage’s fictional consciousness construction with the help of the cognitive literary studies methodology. The methodology of cognitive literary criticism is the basis for the analysis of modelling principles, applied in the research of personage’s fictional consciousness in I. Kostetskyi’s play “The Twins Will Meet Again”. Thus, the study of the play is based on actualization of cognitive phenomena and establishing their correlations with forms of artistic reflection. The cognitive method is used to determine the theoretical foundations of the functioning of the character’s fictional consciousness in the dramatic work. The poetics of the absurd in a drama defines agglutinative forms of reflection of the personages’ fictional consciousness

    METHODICAL COMPETENCE OF THE FUTURE TEACHERS OF PHYSICS AS AN INDICATOR OF EFFECTIVENESS OF THE DIDACTIC MODEL OF TEACHING

    Get PDF
    The authors describe the Didactics of Physics as an effective system of standing used by a teacher of physical and technological profile. The basic provisions of using the conceptual theories of a scientific school “Theoretical and Technological Aspects of Objectification of Control over the Educational Activity” at the Kamenetz-Podolsk NationalUniversity named after Ivan Ogienko are described. “Methods of Teaching Physics” is one of the Pedagogical Sciences. Methods of Teaching Physics have appeared and have been developing due to the rapid progress of physics and its influence on the society. With the development of material and spiritual culture of the society the process of training the younger generation in school has expanded and become more complicated; the accumulation of scientific knowledge and the differentiation of science lead to the increasing number of subjects and extension of their contents. This is the main idea of this article

    An Algorithm to Recover Shredded Random Matrices

    Full text link
    Given some binary matrix MM, suppose we are presented with the collection of its rows and columns in independent arbitrary orderings. From this information, are we able to recover the unique original orderings and matrix? We present an algorithm that identifies whether there is a unique ordering associated with a set of rows and columns, and outputs either the unique correct orderings for the rows and columns or the full collection of all valid orderings and valid matrices. We show that there is a constant c>0c > 0 such that the algorithm terminates in O(n2)O(n^2) time with high probability and in expectation for random n×nn \times n binary matrices with i.i.d.\ Bernoulli (p)(p) entries (mij)ij=1n(m_{ij})_{ij=1}^n such that clog2(n)n(loglog(n))2p12\frac{c\log^2(n)}{n(\log\log(n))^2} \leq p \leq \frac{1}{2}

    A note on estimating the dimension from a random geometric graph

    Full text link
    Let GnG_n be a random geometric graph with vertex set [n][n] based on nn i.i.d.\ random vectors X1,,XnX_1,\ldots,X_n drawn from an unknown density ff on Rd\R^d. An edge (i,j)(i,j) is present when XiXjrn\|X_i -X_j\| \le r_n, for a given threshold rnr_n possibly depending upon nn, where \| \cdot \| denotes Euclidean distance. We study the problem of estimating the dimension dd of the underlying space when we have access to the adjacency matrix of the graph but do not know rnr_n or the vectors XiX_i. The main result of the paper is that there exists an estimator of dd that converges to dd in probability as nn \to \infty for all densities with f5<\int f^5 < \infty whenever n3/2rndn^{3/2} r_n^d \to \infty and rn=o(1)r_n = o(1). The conditions allow very sparse graphs since when n3/2rnd0n^{3/2} r_n^d \to 0, the graph contains isolated edges only, with high probability. We also show that, without any condition on the density, a consistent estimator of dd exists when nrndn r_n^d \to \infty and rn=o(1)r_n = o(1)

    Classification of conservation laws of shallow-water equations

    Get PDF
    We carry out the complete classification of zero-order conservation laws of the classes of one- and two-dimensional shallow-water equations with variable bottom topography. We also find the complete equivalence group for the one-dimensional case, using the direct method, and for the two-dimensional case, using the algebraic method. Using conservation-law characteristics, we find all inequivalent cases of bottom topographies (up to the equivalence group), which give different spaces of conservation laws. Analogously, using additionally the method of furcate splitting, we solve the classification problem for conservation laws for the two-dimensional case
