    Musro merupakan sebuah Public bar dari sebuah outlet dari The Sunan Hotel. Tempat yang menawarkan hiburan malam seperti Public Bar bertolak belakang dengan karakteristik kota Solo yang menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai budaya. Pada umumnya Public bar merupakan sebuah tempat dimana orang berpesta dengan volume musik keras, minum minuman beralkhohol sampai pagi.Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui strategi kegiatan IMC Musro untuk mencapai segmentasinya dan menjaga loyalitas konsumennya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dimana penulis menyajikan data dengan cara memaparkan dalam bentuk narasi atau deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kegiatan wawancara, observasi, dan menelusuran dokumen. Dalam melakukan kegiatan promosi Musro tidak menggunakan agency iklan atau biro iklan, melainkan menggunakan in-house PR sebagai pengkonsep dan eksekutor kegiatan Integrated Marketing Communications di Musro dalam menjangkau segmentasinya dan menjaga loyalitas konsumennya. Musro menciptakan sebuah pesan sebagai tempat hiburan dikota Solo satu satunya yang representatif yang berijiwa muda dan Musro mempuyai kelas sendiri. sebuah pesan tersebut oleh In-house PR akan mendistribusikan dan mensinergikan ke lima elemen IMC yaitu Advertising, Public Relations, Personal selling, Direct marketing, dan Sales promotion. Hasil dari penelitian ini diantaranya adalah Musro berhasil mengkomunikasikan pesan dan mencapai segmentasi yang di inginkan. Peran seorang Public Relations yang mampu mengkoordinir semua saluran komunikasi mampu menciptakan loyalitas konsumen terhadap Musro dan menghindari gesekan-gesekan sosial yang terjadi saat Musro melakukan strategi komunikasi terpadu dengan lima instrumen IMC

    The objective of this study is to analyse intercultural communication between Javanese ethnic traders and Malayans and the supporting and predisposing factors of the intercultural communication between Javanese ethnic traders and Malayans in Tanjung Lago Sub district, Banyuasin District, South Sumatra. The approach of this study is ethnography. The primary data used in this study are the communication activities of Javanese traders and Malayans in Sukadamai market, interview result obtained from key informants, namely Javanese ethnic traders and Malayans in the Sukadamai market. Whereas secondary data in the form of data obtained from documents covering the profile of Tanjung Lago sub-district, Banyuasin, the history of Malay language, and a number of Javanese migrants in Tanjung Lago Subdistrict, Banyuasin. The results show that the forms of communication between Javanese ethnic and Malayans in Sukadamai Market are verbal and nonverbal communication. In verbal communication, the traders and buyers use Bahasa Indonesia because they think it is more flexible. Meanwhile, nonverbal communication is used as a complement in daily interaction so that they can understand each other and there is no misunderstanding. The process of communication between Javanese ethnics and Malayans occurs circularly. The occurrence of feedback takes place face-to-face and direct feedback at that time.     Minangkabau who migrated to the island of Java can be said as a minority. Those who become minorities have a load in the adapt with the culture where he lived. The circumstances that gave rise to a question of “Whether a child born on the ground overseas can grow with the cultural identity according to lineage or get into the culture of the majority or the place where in the grow”. The method of the study is descriptive qualitative. The data are collected by in-depth interview to the informan. It is supported by observation. The sampling used is purposive sampling. The result of the study shows that the construction of cultural identity done by Minangkabau decendant in Purwodadi are able to make their decendants accept Javanese culture as their current culture through self-concept process, social environment, and group affiliation. The cultural identity construction of Minangkabau decendants is that they are able to socialize well with Javanese culture (in Purwodadi) but they do not leave their anchestor culture

    Inside Out animated films depict various emotions and there are five basic emotional characters like Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust. Basic emotions in the animated film will be interpreted by the existence of the signs that are implied in the film. The imaginative and creative nature of film can make the film industry an "industry built of dreams". Media is not only a source of information and entertainment, but also used as a means of communication. This research is determined to know the meaning of representation basic emotional in the animated film Inside Out. The method used in this research is semiotic analysis method to reveal the meaning basic emotional in film. Semiotic analysis used in this research is semiotik analysis Roland Barthes which see the meaning of denotation, connotation and myth. The results of this study indicate that the form of meaning denotation, connotation, and myth in the representation of text in the film Inside Out. Results from voiced signs using physical configuration and mode. In the version of the happy character (happiness) is depicted with a bright yellow skin color and short hairstyle with blue. The sad character (sad) has a blue skin color. Angry characters (angry) has a red skin color. The character of fearlessness (fear) has a violet skin color. And the last character of the disgusted ball (disgust or hate) has a green skin color

    Culture shock is a state of shock experience by someone when they are in a new environment. Students from Lampung who study at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta are examples of individuals who enter a new environment. Communication accomodation is the ability of individuals to make adjustments, modify or regulate behaviour in response to others. This study aims to find out the stages of culture shock experienced by students from Lampung and find out how to deal with culture shock. The research method use in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach, by taking 5 student informants from Lampung. The data collection in this study used in depth and semi structured interviews to obtain complete information as needed by the researcher. The results of this study indicate that the majority of informants experienced culture shock at different times. There are 4 phases experienced, namely the excitement phase, the disappointment phase, the initial resolution phase and the effective functioning phase

    Self-esteem is a self-evaluation of abilities, significancies, and self-worths. Nowdays, teenagers are having their up and down toward their self-esteem. Teenagers unintentionally do social comparison while socializing. The low and high self-esteem can be caused by upper social comparison. Self-esteem also has a significant relation with individual’s mental health. Representation is the representative of the important selected results while other things are being ignored. This research aims to determine the representation of self-esteem in music video My pace by Stray Kids. The methode of this research is descriptive qualitative. The data validation uses riangulation of sources. The sampling technique is purpossive sampling. The data collection uses documentation and literature study. Filling system is used to analyse the collected data and to gather them into the specific category. The results of this research show that there are 10 scenes which represent self-esteem. High self-esteem is idicated by optimism while the low self-esteem is indicated by pessimism. The video clip also finds that teenagers experience self-esteem flutuactions because they have to meet the standard of successful from society

    This study examines the moral messages contained in a film. Film is a form of mass media that has a moral message to be conveyed to the audience indirectly, this is able to influence the point of view and behavior of the audience. One of the films that has a moral message related to social reality and social criticism by committing acts of corruption is the film Menolak Diam. The film Menolak Diam as a campaign for the anti-corruption movement, this film tells the story of the character Alif who questions the absence of a third grade graduation ceremony. Alif and his friends have questioned this but there is no clarity there. Alif suspects an act of misappropriation of funds, finally Alif and his friends try to find the truth by investigating and looking for evidence to uncover corruption cases that occurred at his school at Jogjakarta High School. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the moral message is described and understands the content of the moral message in the film Menolak Diam, a qualitative descriptive research method using qualitative data analysis techniques. The subject used is the film Menolak Diam data collection techniques by watching the film Menolak Diam and selecting cut scenes.     Film sebagai representasi menghadirkan kembali realita yang berkembang dalam masyarakat. Film The Help merupakan film yang menggambarkan mengenai pembantu ras kulit hitam dan orang ras kulit putih melawan tindakan diskriminasi dan rasis majikan kulit putih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana bentuk sikap perlawanan rasisme digambarkan dalam film The Help. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis semiotika Roland Barthes untuk meneliti dan mengkaji tanda-tanda dalam film The Help. Ada tiga tingkatan tanda dalam semiotika Roland Barthes, yakni tanda denotasi, tanda konotasi, dan mitos. Semiotika Roland Barthes digunakan untuk menganalisis adegan-adegan yang menampilkan perlawanan terhadap rasisme. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk-bentuk perlawanan terjadi dalam tiga bentuk kategori. Pertama, perlawanan secara individual. Kedua perlawanan secara institusional, dan ketiga adalah kesetaraan antara orang ras kulit putih dan orang ras kulit hitam. Perlawanan secara indidual terjadi dalam bentuk verbal dan non verbal. Perlawanan secara verbal terjadi dengan cara mencemooh, mengejek, berkata kasar, mengancam, mengumpat. Perlawanan secara non verbal dengan cara melotot, dahi mengernyit, menggertakkan gigi, menyilangkan lengan di dada, menatap wajah majikan, dan menerbitkan buku yang berisi tentang curahan perasaan pembantu ras kulit hitam. Perlawanan secara institusional terjadi dengan cara penggunaan kamar mandi majikan, penggunaan peralatan makan yang sama. Kesetaraan antara orang ras kulit hitam dan orang ras kulit putih dilakukan dengan cara kontak fisik, penolakan panggilan hormat, bersikap baik dan menghargai. The purpose of this study is there any influence significant of the intercultural communication to social integration between ethnic java with ethnic chinese in kelurahan sudiroprajan. This research used intercultural communication and social integration. Intercultural communication measured in terms of the extent to which the involvement elements of intercultural communication namely a communicator, communication, a message, media, the effects and disorder. Social integration measured by cooperation, accomodation, assimilation and acculturation. The kind of research this is quantitative eksplanatif by survey method using questionnaires.Research sample is 100 respondent of ethnic java and chinese in kelurahan sudiroprajan. Data analysis techniques used in the study is simple linear regression. The results of the testing of hypotheses using analysis regression linear simple obtained the value thitung> ttabel (10,755 > 1,984) on significance level of 5 percent so that Ho rejected. It means intercultural communication influential significantly to social integration beetween ethnic java and chinese in Kelurahan Sudiroprajan
