Analisis Semiotika Self-Esteem Dalam Video Klip “My PACE” Karya Stray Kids

Abstract

Self-esteem is a self-evaluation of abilities, significancies, and self-worths. Nowdays, teenagers are having their up and down toward their self-esteem. Teenagers unintentionally do social comparison while socializing. The low and high self-esteem can be caused by upper social comparison. Self-esteem also has a significant relation with individual’s mental health. Representation is the representative of the important selected results while other things are being ignored. This research aims to determine the representation of self-esteem in music video My pace by Stray Kids. The methode of this research is descriptive qualitative. The data validation uses riangulation of sources. The sampling technique is purpossive sampling. The data collection uses documentation and literature study. Filling system is used to analyse the collected data and to gather them into the specific category. The results of this research show that there are 10 scenes which represent self-esteem. High self-esteem is idicated by optimism while the low self-esteem is indicated by pessimism. The video clip also finds that teenagers experience self-esteem flutuactions because they have to meet the standard of successful from society
