    Edge detection using Bayesian process convolutions

We develop a Bayesian approach for edge detection, using a process convolution model. Our method has some advantages over the classical edge detector, Sobel operator. In particular, our Bayesian spatial detector works well for rich, but noisy, photos. We first demonstrate our approach with a small simulation study, then with a richer photograph. Finally, we show that the Bayesian edge detector performance gives considerable improvement over the Sobel operator performance for rich photos

    ABSTRAKPrarancangan pabrik furfural ini menggunakan tandan kosong kelapa sawit (TKKS) sebagai bahan baku. Kapasitas produksi pabrik furfural ini adalah 16000 ton/tahun dengan hari kerja 330 hari/tahun. Teknologi proses yang digunakan adalah teknologi escher wyss. Tahapan proses untuk memproduksi furfural meliputi : (1) pretreatment, mengecilkan ukuran bahan baku menggunakan chipper sehingga ukuran 3-10 mm (2) hidrolisis dan dehidrasi, Hidrolisis dilakukan selama 3 jam pada temperature 150 0C, tekanan 1 atm dan pada proses dehidrasi dilakukan selama 1 jam (3) pemurnian, menggunakan distilasi untuk menghasilkan furfural 98%, suhu operasi digunakan pada temperatur 118 0C dan tekanan sebesar 1 atm. Bentuk perusahaan yang direncanakan adalah Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan menggunakan metode struktur garis dan staf. Kebutuhan tenaga kerja untuk menjalankan perusahaan ini berjumlah 120 orang. Lokasi pabrik direncanakan didirikan di Tanjung Seumantoh, Kecamatan Karang Baru, Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang, Provinsi Aceh. dengan luas tanah 25.000 m2. Sumber air pabrik furfural ini berasal dari Sungai Aceh Tamiang dan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan listrik diperoleh dari Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) dan Generator dengan daya 2 MW. Hasil analisa ekonomi yang diperoleh yaitu fixed capital investment sebesar Rp. 137.472.699.901, laba bersih Rp. 71.704.544.330, pay out time (POT) selama 3 tahun dan break event point (BEP) sebesar 33%

    Exploring issues in agile requirements engineering in the South African industry

    The agile manifesto has certainly changed the way software is produced in the Information Communications Technology (ICT) industry. However, many persistent challenges cripple agile software development. One challenge is that the constant change in technology makes the requirements hard to implement. Another is that issues of the agile requirements engineering (ARE) process are abundant and pervasive throughout software projects. The aim of this study is to determine common issues in agile requirements engineering in the South African software industry and identify tools and frameworks to mitigate risks emanating from such problems. This includes finding out how much value software practitioners put in the agile principles. This study was essentially quantitative, based on a cross-sectional survey. Self-administered questionnaires were used to collect required data which was then subjected to exploratory data analysis using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences), a tool for statistical analysis. The results show that software practitioners have a strong penchant for principles of the Agile Manifesto. Major issues in agile requirements engineering include lack of proper validation tools and techniques, scope problems, lack of proper documentation, issues of prioritisation, as well as unavailability of customer representative. A detailed baseline of issues in agile requirements engineering was created along with a set of recommended tools and techniques used in the software industry. As for the recommendation, it is suggested that companies invest more on validation tools and techniques and consider non-functional requirements integration during software development.School of ComputingM.     ABSTRAKSI: Kebutuhan akan pelayanan yang cepat, nyaman dan murah dengan sadar telah menggerakan riset di bidang teknologi informasi. Virtualisasi pun berkembang pesat. Dengan virtualisasi kita bisa terlepas dari ketergantungan fisik karena dengan virtualisasi, fisik yang berjumlah satu berfungsi sama dengan fisik berjumlah banyak.Dengan Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) kita bisa memiliki beberapa jaringan dengan cukup satu manageable switch. Dan untuk menghubungkan antar VLAN (inter VLAN) cukup menggunakan 1 router 1 interface. Sehingga banyak biaya yang bisa dihemat. VLAN adalah pengelompokan logikal dari dari user dan sumber daya network yang terhubung ke port-port yang telah ditentukan secara administratif pada sebuah switch.Karena layanan VoIP (Voice over IP) merupakan layanan yang realtime, maka VLAN yang telah diimplementasikan tersebut harus bersifat high availability , yaitu tingkat ketersediaan dan pelayanan harus 100% selalu ada. Pada tugas akhir ini akan diimplementasikan Virtual Redundancy Router Protocol (VRRP) untuk mewujudkan high availability inter VLAN tersebut. VRRP melakukan fungsi pengambilalihan tugas perutean terhadap paket-paket data yang masuk ke virtual router group ketika router master yang bertindak sebagai router utama mengalami down atau gangguan kinerja.Dari hasil pengukuran dan analisis implementasi system InterVLAN VRRP didapatkan penurunan kualitas VoIP yaitu dikarenakan bertambahnya header sebesar 24 byte. Kondisi terburuk didapatkan dari interVLAN VRRP master backup mode namun QoS masih memenuhi standar. Hal itu dapat diperbaiki pada VRRP Load Sharing mode yang terbukti stabil dengan nilai QoS yang lebih baik. Pada scenario 2 (testbad), dapat dibuktikan bahwa VRRP mampu menjaga kualitas VoIP dengan terpenuhinya standar QoS meskipun terjadi gagal link. Pada scenario 3 juga didapatkan bahwa VRRP bukan merupakan solusi yang mahal karena terbukti bisa berfungsi sebagai Load Sharing yang mampu menigkatkan performansi jaringan.Kata Kunci : VRRP, VLAN, Inter VLAN, QoS, DowntimeABSTRACT: The needs of fast service, comfortable and inexpensive has been moving the research in the sector of information technology. Virtualization is growing rapidly. With virtualization we can come off from physical dependence, because, with virtualization, one physical amount can functioning as a lot of physical amount. With Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) we can have multiple networks with just one manageable switch. And for connecting inter-VLAN it is enough to use one router and one interface. So much money can be saved. VLAN is a logical grouping of users and network resources are connected to ports that have been determined administratively on a switch.Because of the VoIP (Voice over IP) services is a real-time service, then the VLAN that has been implemented should be high availability, the availability and service levels must always be 100%. At this final task will be implemented the Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) to achieve high availability of inter-VLAN. The VRRP has a function to takeover routing task for the data packets that enter the virtual router group when the master router that acts as the main router is down or get interruption of performance.From the results of measurement and system analysis of Inter-VLAN VRRP implementation, the quality of VoIP is decrease due to the increase of the header of 24 bytes. Worst conditions obtained from the Inter-VLAN VRRP master backup mode but still meet the QoS standards. It can be fixed on VRRP load sharing mode that proved to be stable with a better QoS value. In scenario 2 (testbad), can be proved that VRRP capable of maintaining VoIP quality with compliance to the QoS standards despite the failed link. In scenario 3 also found that VRRP is not an expensive solution because it proved that can have a function as load sharing that improving network performance.Keyword: VRRP, VLAN, Inter VLAN, QoS, Downtim

    PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN VAK (VISUALIZATION, AUDITORY, KINESTHETIC) TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN PENDIDIKAN SEKS ANAK DI MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH (Penelitian Pre Eksperimen Pada Siswa Kelas 1 di Salah Satu Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Kota Bogor Tahun Ajaran 2019/2020)

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran VAK (Visualization, Auditory, Kinesthetic) terhadap pengetahuan pendidikan seks anak siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) kelas I. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan berdasarkan fakta yang terjadi dilapangan bahwa rendahnya pengetahuan pendidikan seks anak, ditandai dengan banyaknya kasus kekerasan seksual yang terjadi pada anak usia pendidikan dasar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Pre-eksperimen dengan desain penelitian One Group Pre-test Post-test menggunakan Subjek Tunggal. Penelitian ini menggunakan empat orang subjek siswa kelas I Madrasah Ibtidaiyah dengan dua siswa laki-laki dan dua siswa perempuan yang bertempat tinggal di sekitar rumah peneliti guna memudahkan penelitian ditengah Pandemi Covid-19 yang mengharuskan adanya Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni tes pengetahuan pendidikan seks anak dan lembar observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis regresi linear sederhana dengan uji koefisien determinasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran VAK (Visualization, Auditory, Kinesthetic) dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan pendidikan seks anak pada siswa MI. Dapat dilihat berdasarkan peningkatan hasil skor pretest dan posttest yaitu skor N-gain sebesar 0,77 yang termasuk kedalam kategori tinggi. Kemudian dari hasil analisis regresi sederhana diperoleh skor R sebesar 0,426 yang berarti model pembelajaran VAK (Visualization, Auditory, Kinesthetic) cukup terdapat korelasi dengan pengetahuan pendidikan seks anak. Didapatkan pula hasil koefisien determinasi yaitu skor Rsquare sebesar 0,182 jika diubah kedalam persen sebesar 18,2% yang berarti terdapat 18,2% pengetahuan pendidikan seks anak dipengaruhi oleh model pembelajaran VAK (Visualization, Auditory, Kinesthetic). This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the VAK (Visualization, Auditory, Kinesthetic) learning model to the knowledge of sex education for first-grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). This research was based on the facts that occur in the field that the low knowledge of child sex education, marked by the number of cases of sexual violence that occurs in children of primary education. This type of research was a Pre-experimental research design with One Group Pre-test Post-test using a Single Subject. This study used four first-graders subjects of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students with two male and two female students residing around the researcher's house to facilitate research in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic which required the existence of physical distancing. The research instruments used in this study were tests of knowledge of child sex education and observation sheets of teacher and student activities during the learning process. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and simple linear regression analysis with the coefficient of determination test. The results showed that the learning model of VAK (Visualization, Auditory, Kinesthetic) can improve the knowledge of child sex education at MI students. It can be seen based on the increase in the results of the pretest and posttest scores namely the N-gain score of 0.77 which is included in the high category. Then from the results of a simple regression analysis obtained an R score of 0.426, which means the VAK learning model (Visualization, Auditory, Kinesthetic) is enough correlation with the knowledge of child sex education. The coefficient of determination was also obtained the Rsquare score of 0.182 if it is converted into a percentage of 18.2%, which means there is 18.2% of children's sex education knowledge influenced by the VAK learning model (Visualization, Auditory, Kinesthetic)

    Al Ihsan hospital is a regional general hospital located in Dayeuhkolot, Bandung, West Java. The current situation of this non-profit healthcare company is in transition to a wider health services development either the building or the treatment areas such as the additional of a medical team focused on cancer. The problems that occurred in Al Ihsan is not yet implemented enterprise architecture. Al Ihsan has symptoms of a lack of good information systems. The purpose of this research is to design the enterprise architecture and make the roadmap for guideline in implementation of this enterprise architecture design. We use TOGAF ADM which has many phases including preliminary phase, architecture vision, business architecture, information system architecture, and technology architecture, opportunities and solution, and migration planning. By using this framework, we will produce a blueprint that will be the first step of information system development.
