An Integral geometry based method for fast form-factor computation
Monte Carlo techniques have been widely used in rendering algorithms for local integration. For example, to
compute the contribution of a patch to the luminance of another. In the present paper we propose an
algorithm based on Integral geometry where Monte Carlo is applied globally. We give some results of the
implementation to validate the proposition and we study the error of the technique, as well as its complexity.Postprint (published version
Variance of two in nite path length random walk radiosity estimators
The error in an unbiased Monte Carlo method
is characterized by the variance. By knowing the variance
of different Monte Carlo estimators for Radiosity (and also
their cost) we should be able to obtain the most efficient of
them. This paper gives the variances for two such estimators,
the shooting and gathering infinite path length random walk
estimators. This completes a previous work of the author on
finite path length estimators
Computational analysis of signal dynamics induced by ligands

In such mechanisms a cell interacts with the surrounding cells through proteins called ligands. With a numerical simulation program we manage to confirm the formation of cell patterns and doing a lineal stability analysis we find under which conditions the pattern can arise for a sustained signal activation. Furthermore, when implementing a transitory pulsating signal dynamics we find that a minimum interaction time is required if the cells are to differentiat

En el present article es fa una introducciĂł als projectes d’intervenciĂł educativa, quan varen sorgir, per què varen sorgir, les caracterĂstiques mĂ©s significatives, etc. AixĂ mateix es fa una anĂ lisi sobre la filosofia que va informar la posada en marxa d’aquests projectes d’intervenciĂł educativa en el marc de l’autonomia dels centres, com tambĂ© la relaciĂł de centres que varen desenvolupar i desenvolupen aquests projectes.En el presente artĂculo se hace una introducciĂłn a los proyectos de intervenciĂłn educativa, cuando surgieron, por quĂ© surgieron, sus caracterĂsticas más significativas, etc. Asimismo se hace un análisis sobre la filosofĂa que informĂł la puesta en marcha de estos proyectos de intervenciĂłn educativa en el marco de la autonomĂa de los centros, asĂ como la relaciĂłn de centros que desarrollaron y desarrollan estos proyectos
