An Estimation of Financial Cycle to Determine Counter Cyclical Capital Buffer1

The Basel III Countercyclical Capital Buffer framework has been designed to increase the resilience of the banking sector in periods of upturns in the financial cycle. The main idea is to control banking systems procycical properties which reiterates amplifies risk perception during both in times of distress and buoyant economic activity. Moreover, create a buffer to serve as a shock absorber during downturns. Ferromagnetic order in U(Rh,Co)Ge

We report the variation of ferromagnetic order in the pseudo-ternary compounds URh_{1-x}Co_{x}Ge (0 \leq x \leq 1). Magnetization and transport data taken on polycrystalline samples show that the Curie temperature T_{C} gradually increases with increasing Co content from a value of 9.5 K for URhGe to a maximum value of 20 K for x = 0.6 and then steadily decreases to 3 K for UCoGe. The magnetic interaction strength varies smoothly across the series. For all samples the electrical resistivity for T < T_{C} follows the behaviour \rho = \rho_{0} + AT^2. The A coefficient is dominated by scattering at spin waves and is strongly enhanced for x = 0 and 1.Comment: 12 pages (4 figures), submitted to SS

Mediengestützter Deutschunterricht im türkischen universitären Bereich : eine Bestandsaufnahme

A trend in nature of a permanent increase towards multimedia lifestyle has arisen in all stratas of the society. Thus, rather than using written course-books, publishing houses prefer to encourage use of multimedia which are dependent to course-book or which are independent of course-book and language learners prefer to learn with multimedia. Thus it is encouraged that courses are supported in that manner. This study aims to examine scope and limits of computer aided German teaching which is flourishing as a foreign language within Turkey university education recently. This study has been applied in preparatory classes of departments which provide four-year education. Results of a survey on use of multimedia dependent on course-book or independent of course-book within courses within Turkey university education has been given within scope of this study. Evidences on competence of German teachers and learners in use of multimedia has been given and have been visualized through use of graphics. Problems of multimedia aided German courses and solutions offers will be submitted

INSTRUMENT PRACTICE HABITS AND METACOGNITIVE STRATEGIES: AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON VIOLIN STUDENTS

Çalgı çalışma alışkanlığı edinmek, kendi çalışmalarının amacını belirleyen ve bu doğrultudaki çalışmalarının sonucunda başarıya ulaşmayı hedefleyen öğrenciler için başarıya ulaşmanın yollarından biri olarak düşünülebilir. Bunun için bilişötesi farkındalık ile hareket etmek, hedefe giden yolda uygulanan stratejiler bakımından önemli kabul edilebilir. Bu araştırma bilişötesi farkındalığa dayalı bir keman öğretim programının keman öğrencilerinin çalgı çalışma alışkanlıklarına etkisinin belirlenmesi amacıyla tasarlanmıştır. Çalışmada öğrenme stratejilerinden yineleme, anlamlandırma, örgütleme, duyuşsal stratejiler ve anlamayı izlemeyi stratejilerini bilişötesi farkındalık yoluyla kullanmayı hedef alan deneysel bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Bu kapsamda seçkisiz atama yapılarak deney ve kontrol grupları oluşturulmuştur. Verilerin toplanmasında “Çalgı Çalışma Alışkanlıkları Ölçeği”nden yararlanılmıştır. Keman eğitiminde bilişötesi farkındalığın geliştirilmesine dayalı uygulamaların deney grubu keman öğrencilerinin çalgı çalışma alışkanlıklarının alt boyutları olan “çalışmaya değer verme”, “ilgi ve istek”, “çalışmaya hazırlık”, “zamanı doğru kullanma ve düzenli çalışma” boyutlarında etkili olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu kapsamda öğrencilerin kendi çalışmalarını planlamaları, izlemeleri ve değerlendirmeleri yönünde teşvik edilmesi önerilmiştir

Suppression of ferromagnetism in URhGe doped with Ru

In the correlated metal URhGe ferromagnetic order (T_C = 9.5 K) and superconductivity (T_s= 0.25 K) coexist at ambient pressure. Here we report on alloying URhGe by Ru, which enables one to tune the Curie temperature to 0 K. URuGe has a paramagnetic ground state and is isostructural to URhGe. We have prepared a series of polycrystalline URh_{1-x}Ru_{x}Ge samples over a wide range of x values. Magnetization and electrical resistivity data (T > 2 K) show, after an initial increase, a linear suppression of T_C with increasing x. Synthesis and characterization of novel substituted N-benzothiazole-2-yl-acetamides

AbstractSchiff base derivatives of benzothiazole 2a–e have been synthesized by reacting with substituted 2-aminobenzothiazole 1a–e and different substituted benzaldehydes 5a–e. The obtained Schiff bases reaction with NaBH4 has afforded the corresponding some novel amines 3a–e. The condensation of amines with chloroacetylchloride leads to novel amide derivatives 4a–e. The structures of the synthesized compounds are characterized by elemental analysis, IR, MS, 1H NMR and 13C NMR
