Causes of increased risk of drug abuse in adolescents

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou užívání drog u dospívající populace. Cílem práce je zjišťování, co riziko nadměrného užívání drog způsobuje. Zaměření vychází z nárůstu drogově závislých dospívajících v ČR a z nutnosti tuto problematiku systémově řešit. V naší republice existují výzkumy, které se snaží především varovat děti a dospívající před užíváním drog. Ve své práci se ovšem věnuji důvodům, proč se pubescenti a adolescenti rozhodnou drogu vyzkoušet a nadále ji užívat jako řešení svých problémů. Práce se skládá z pěti obsahově na sebe navazujících kapitol. První kapitola se věnuje období dospívání, vymezení tohoto vývojového období časově a z pohledu různých teorií. Druhá kapitola se zabývá změnami v pubescenci a adolescenci. Nejprve se zaměřuje na biologické změny, dále na psychické a sociální. Třetí kapitola se věnuje užíváním drog a jeho následkům včetně popisu fyzické a psychické závislosti. Také jsou v této kapitole rozebírány podrobněji účinky nejužívanějších drog v České republice. Čtvrtá kapitola obsahuje shrnutí příčin užívání drog v dospívání. Poslední kapitola je věnována možnostem prevence a resocializace jedince. Práce také obsahuje návrh projektu výzkumu, kde je rozebírána problematika, cíle a hypotézy. The aim is to find out what the risk of excessive drug use causes. The focus is based on the increasing in drug-dependent adolescents in the Czech Republic and the need to systematically address this issue. In our country, there is research that primarily aims to warn children and adolescents from using drugs. In my work I deal why pubescent and adolescence decide to try the drug and continue to use it as a solution to their problems. The work consists of five chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the period of adolescence, the definition of the developmental period of time from the perspective of different theories. The second chapter deals with changes in puberty and adolescence. First, it is focusing on the biological changes, then the psychological and social. The third chapter is devoted to drug use and its consequences, including a description of the physical and psychological dependence. Also in this chapter are discussed in more detail the effects of the most commonly used drugs in the Czech Republic. The fourth chapter contains a summary of the causes of drug use in adolescence. Import 11/07/2012Hlavní náplní diplomové práce je zamyšlení se nad výrobou elektrické energie ze slunečního záření pomocí fotovoltaických článků. Hlavní část práce je zaměřena na energii získanou ze slunečního záření. Výroba elektrické energie ze slunce probíhá za pomoci fotovoltaických článků. V práci je popsán vývoj fotovoltaických elektráren v Evropě a v ČR. Další podstatnou část práce tvoří daňové a účetní hledisko fotovoltaických elektráren a velké změny od roku 2011. Praktická část práce je zaměřena na postup fyzické osoby, která se rozhodne zřídit fotovoltaickou elektrárnu na vlastním obydlí. Popsán je legislativní postup i daňový postup. Zmíněna je také možnost pevné výkupní ceny nebo zeleného bonusu.The thesis deals with the production of the electricity made from the renewable energy sources. The main part of the thesis is focused on the electricity made from the solar energy. The production of the electricity made from the solar energy is produced by the photovoltaics power plants. The thesis describes the development of the photovoltaics power plants in Europe and in the Czech Republic. Another main part of the thesis deals with tax and accounting aspects of the photovoltaics power plants and the changes beginning two years ago. The second part of the thesis is focused on the construction of the photovoltaics power plant. The thesis describes legislative and tax aspects, terms of connection before realization and documents required to commission the power plant. Rethinking the infodemic: global health security and information disorder

The discourse on the infodemic constructs the combination of the pandemic and disinformation as a new source of insecurity on a global scale. How can we make sense – analytically and politically– of this newly politicized nexus of public health, information management, and global security? This article proposes approaching the phenomenon of the infodemic as an intersecting securitization of information disorder and health governance. Specifically, it argues that there are two distinct frames of security mobilized in the context of infodemic governance: information as a disease and information as a weapon. Drawing on literatures on global health and the emerging research on disinformation, the paper situates the two framings of the infodemic in broader discourses on the medicalization of security, and securitization of information disorder, respectively. The article critically reflects on each framing and offers some preliminary thoughts on how to approach the entanglements of health, security, and information disorder in contemporary global politics

How to Study Gender in International Security? An Introduction to Feminist Security Studies

Thinking on war, violence and security has always been associated with concepts of femininity and masculinity. Similarly, wars and political transformations also change the notions of the roles of women and men in society. This article shows how the links between gender identities and threat construction, understanding of aggression, or social sensitivity to di!erent types of victims of violence can be studied academically. It introduces feminist security studies, embeds it in the research of international relations and security, and encourages its development in the Czech academic environment. The article introduces key concepts and methods of studying gender in (international) security, identifies key themes in feminist security research, and explains various approaches and types of questions that can be investigated in this area

Science, technology, security: towards critical collaboration

Science and technology play a central role in the contemporary governance of security, both as tools for the production of security and as objects of security concern. Scholars are increasingly seeking to not only critically reflect on the interplays between science, technology and security, but also engage with the practices of security communities that shape and are shaped by science and technology. To further help this growth of interest in security topics within science and technology studies (STS), we explore possible modes of socio-technical collaboration with security communities of practice. Bringing together literatures from STS and critical security studies, we identify several key challenges to critical social engagement of STS scholars in security-related issues. We then demonstrate how these challenges played out over the course of three case studies from our own experience in engaging security communities of practice. We use these vignettes to show that there is a rich vein of developments in both theory and practice that STS scholars can pursue by attending to the interplay of science, technology and security

Z mnoha knih a studii, ktere byly napsany 0 dile Vladimira Nabokova, se maloktera zabyva jakymkoli srovnanim dvou z jeho del, Lolity a Smichu ve tme. Jde 0 romany, ktere vznikly ve velmi odlisnem prostredi - v dvou ruznych etapach Nabokovova zivota. Roman Smich ve tme byl vydan v roce 1933 rusky pod nazvem Kamera Obskura pod pseudonymem Sirin, Pozdeji nebyl Nabokov spokojen s jeho prekladem do angli6tiny a sam ho v roce 1938 prelozil pod nazvem Laughter in the Dark. Naproti tomu Lolita jiz byla napsana primo anglicky a po ur6itych problemech s vydavateli byla publikovana v roce 1955. Jde 0 dva romany zdanlive velmi odlisne, Smich ve tme je kratsi, komornejsi. Je kritiky opomijen jako jeden z Nabokovovych slabsich romanu. Nicmene dIe meho nazoru nabizi velky prostor pro srovnani prave s 0 mnoho uznavanejsi a dokonalejsi Lolitou. Srovnani se nabizi predevsim v ustrednim mileneckem trojuhelniku obou pribehu: Lolita-Humbert-Quilty a MargotAlbinus- Rex. Muzeme ale porovnat take motivy slepoty, posedlosti, svobody a smrti a v neposledni rade take osudu. Lolita navic nabizi nekolik zajimavych rovin vyprave6skeho stylu.Many books and essays have been written on the works of Vladimir Nabokov, of which my bibliography contains only a tiny fragment. Yet, most of the studies make comparisons within either Nabokov's Russian works or his American works, while the comparison of the two novels I have chosen, Lolita and Laughter in the Dark, is very rare. Most novels by Vladimir Nabokov display the themes of obsession, blindness, manipulation, freedom, and morality. Most of them also are about games, including language games, and the love of language in general. Nabokov switched from writing in Russian to English and experienced a great deal of pain in relinquishing his native tongue, becoming a phantom in his own prose, as if, he said, he had created the person who wrote in English but was not himself doing the writing. 1 Bearing this in mind, it is also important to state that he had translated two of his Russian novels into English (Laughter in the Dark and Despair) . This split in Nabokov's life into two periods is also why it was of great relevance to me that I should compare two of his novels that were written at different times, in different languages, and with different backgrounds. Politika biologické (ne)bezpečnosti: věda, experti a dilema dvojího užití

Tato práce zkoumá politiku tzv. biologické bezpečnosti a regulaci výzkumu dvojího užití. Zaměřuje na vědy o živé přírodě, jejichž rychlý rozvoj přináší nové obavy spojující témata biologických zbraní, terorismu a regulace vědeckých inovací. Práce má tři dílčí cíle: zaprvé, situovat současné dilema výzkumu dvojího užití historicky a koncepčně, zadruhé, analyzovat, jaký dopad mají snahy regulovat biologickou bezpečnost a výzkum dvojího užití na vztahy mezi vědou a bezpečností, a zatřetí, diskutovat, jaké jsou důsledky tohoto nového propojení vědy a bezpečnosti pro politiku bezpečnosti a nebezpečnosti. Práce přistupuje k tématu z pozice kritických bezpečnostních studií a studuje, jak je propojení mezi vědou a bezpečností konstruováno určitými technikami vládnutí, jež integrují různé praktiky do uchopitelného problému a strukturují vztahy mezi vědou a bezpečností. Práce zkoumá dominantní politický a expertní diskurz o biologické bezpečnosti a dále dvě empirické oblasti, které ilustrují, jak je hranice vědy a bezpečnosti řízena v "globálním" a "lokálním" kontextu: v rámci mezinárodního režimu zákazu biologických zbraní a v českém systému biologické bezpečnosti. Práce...This thesis explores the politics of biosecurity and the governance of dual-use research. It focuses on life sciences, whose rapid development brings together the issues of biological weapons, terrorism, and the dangers of scientific innovations. The thesis has three goals: first, to situate the dilemma of dual-use research historically and conceptually, second, to analyse how the attempts to govern biosecurity and regulate dual-use research in life sciences affect the relations between science and security, and third, to discuss what implications this science-security nexus has for the politics of (in)security. Approaching the subject from critical security studies, the thesis looks at how the nexus between science and security is constructed. It does so, first, by exploring the dominant political and expert discourses on biosecurity and by looking at two distinct empirical sites, which exemplify how a regime of biosecurity governance evolves at a boundary of science and security in a 'global' and 'local' context: the international biological weapons regime and the Czech system of biosecurity management.
