Variations in Reuse Success of Software Projects Developed with Systematic Software Reuse Methodologies

    Get PDF
Business software projects are dealing with a complex subject domain. One approach to facilitate the retrieval of reusable software components in complex subject domains is the use of an enterprise-level model. Projects developed with a potentially successful reuse methodology such as the enterprise-level model approach, vary greatly in terms of reuse achieved. This research explores the factors that contribute to the variations in reuse success across projects that have been developed using the same systematic reuse methodology

    Flowering annuals : petunias (1996)

    Get PDF
Petunias have become one of the most popular flowering annual garden plants. They are relatively free from insect and disease problems, have a long flowering period, are easy to grow, and are available in a wide range of form and color. The petunia has come a long way from its native Argentina. From the original white and magenta species, hybridizers have developed petunias in every color except a pure, bright yellow, and they are coming closer to that every year. From the simple single flower, they have developed large, ruffled, fringed and double forms.Reprinted 1/96/7M

ARTE – problems of creating a European TV Intercultural aspects at micro, meso and macro level at the European Culture Channel Arte

In communication science, the question of Europeanisation as well as a theory of interculturalism and multilingualism in the broader context of a ‘European identity’ has long been raised and discussed. Furthermore, empirical research has been searching for adequate methods to find an answer to this question so as to indicate whether the EU media landscape is coming closer together or drifting further apart. The European Culture Channel Arte started broadcasting in 1992. Since then, German and French TV editors have learned from each other how to produce formats appropriate for recipients of both nationalities or even a European audience. This article discusses possible changes towards Europeanisation through rapprochement and convergency exemplified by the French-German culture magazine programme Metropolis as well as by a diachronic scrutiny of changes in Arte’s general programming structure. Organisational theory and intercultural media analysis at micro, meso and macro level are employed as theoretical foundation

Hannibal Woods is a small, oak-ash (Quercus macrocarpa/ Fraxinus pensylvanica) forest relict located on the south and west sides of Dannebrog, Nebraska. The site was first studied in 1996 as part of a botanical survey of the Loup River Valley. Since the initial work, plant collections have been made several times each growing season through 2005, and an annotated list of plant species has been compiled. This study reports a total of 271 plant species representing 62 families including 86 species that are new records for Howard County. The mature bur oaks at this site average 84.0 cm in diameter. Species that are uncommon in central Nebraska include Agastache nepetoides, Arabis hirsuta var. pycnocarpa, Botrychium virginicum, Bromus ciliatus, Bromus latiglumis, Carex grisea, Carex leavenworthii, Carex molesta, Elymus villosus, and Ulmus rubra. Hannibal Woods is botanically significant in that it supports the growth of plant species which are more representative of sites further east, such as the lower Platte and Missouri River Valleys
