Analysis of abnormal operation procedures in sequences of loss of the RHRS at midloop operation

Several studies indicate the importance that the sequence of loss of residual heat removal system (RHRS) at midloop operation has in the global risk of the plant. In this sense, several simulations of loss of the RHRS with closed and open primary system with the TRACE V4.160 code have been performed considering different availability of steam generators. This paper aims to analyze not only the thermalhydraulic behavior of the plant after the loss of RHRS, but also the interaction of the simulation results with the abnormal operation procedures and with the event trees of the sequences of loss of RHRS at midloop operation. The simulation results show that the main parameters depends on primary vent and the number of steam generators available. After a detailed study of phenomenology and abnormal procedures some modifications have been proposed in these procedures

What do sustainable investment funds in Spain invest in? Study on Sustainable Investment

In this context, the aim of this study is to analyze this type of fund, studying its evolution, its main characteristics, and the analysis of its portfolio, both by sector and by investment policy. Recent advances in lamellarin alkaloids: isolation, synthesis and activity

Lamellarins are a large family of marine alkaloids with potential anticancer activity that have been isolated from diverse marine organisms, mainly ascidians and sponges. All lamellarins feature a 3,4-diarylpyrrole system. Pentacyclic lamellarins, whose polyheterocyclic system has a pyrrole core, are the most active compounds. Some of these alkaloids are potently cytotoxic to various tumor cell lines. To date, Lam-D and Lam-H have been identified as lead compounds for the inhibition of topoisomerase I and HIV-1 integrase, respectively nuclear enzymes which are over-expressed in deregulation disorders. Moreover,these compounds have been reported for their efficacy in treatment of multi-drug resistant (MDR) tumors cells without mediated drug efflux, as well as their immunomodulatory activity and selectivity towards melanoma cell lines. This article is an overview of recent literature on lamellarins, encompassing their isolation, recent synthetic strategies for their total synthesis, the preparation of their analogs, studies on their mechanisms of action, and their structure-activity relationships (SAR)

XX Jornades de Foment de la Investigació de la Facultat de Ciències Humanes i Socials (Any 2015)La pregunta del título nos permitirá adentrarnos en la filosofía orteguiana y en conceptos claves de máxima actualidad, que sin saberlo nos afectan día a día. Vida, trabajo, minoría o masa tienen una perspectiva vigente y muy especial para Ortega y Gasset. Podremos replantearnos conceptos que aparentemente tenemos muy definidos. Conoceremos lo que Ortega llamó el síndrome por excelencia del europeo junto a los tipos de personas y problemas derivados que conlleva. ¿En qué momento «trabajar para vivir» pasó a ser «vivir para trabajar»? Ortega propone una respuesta muy interesante. Analizó un sistema lleno de trampas y deficiencias estructurales por mucho tiempo desapercibidas y con funestas consecuencias. Reflexionaremos y uniremos los conceptos hasta acercarnos mejor a nuestra actualidad y cotidianeidad. Gracias a su obra, buscaremos dar salida a los problemas estructurales de la occidentalidad y la Ilustración en el ámbito personal, social, continental e incluso mundial. Lo relacionaremos con la crisis del pensamiento del siglo XX, tanto en la antesala como sus consecuencias y nos articularemos con la obra y biografía de un autor nuestro y muy cercano, que nos permitirá actuar como bisagra en este viaje filosófico. Esta lectura también servirá como una introducción e invitación a leer dos obras imprescindibles como son El tema de nuestro tiempo o La rebelión de las masas. Veremos la propuesta de un sabio profético y su modelo para triunfar y aprovechar la vida (la lucha vital), al fin y al cabo, es nuestra identidad y circunstancia; que se vuelve un concepto muy valioso y presente en la sociedad de las masas.
