The myths and the rituals have been analyzed during a lot of time by the anthropology. However, few of them are linked to the processes of rest and to the logic of the work. The following article seeks to be a novel contribution, to the function of the vacations like ritual processes of atonement. The state of art is based on two Mircea Eliade works -titled Myth and Reality, published in 1968; and The Myth of the Eternal Return, re-printed in 2006

In Working Through the Past: Labor and Authoritarian Legacies in Comparative Perspective, editors Teri L. Caraway, Maria Lorena Cook and Stephen Crowley offer a collection that explores the role that ‘authoritarian legacies’ have played in the development of labour politics in new democracies, drawing on case studies from Eastern Europe, East and Southeast Asia and Latin America. While Maximiliano Korstanje would have welcomed more nuanced discussion of democracy and its varied conceptualisations, this book is a must-read for economists and those looking to better understand the intersection of labour, production and politics

In the wage of a new millennium, societies around the globe experience in a certain grade panic and anguish; that way, any events is reinterpreted as sake of Apocalypses; or likely because a new economic restructuration is imminent. Theoretically, in accordance to Dupuy we have highlighted market fulfill certain goals harmonizing solidarity and conflicts among citizens; indidualism and narcissism and rational calculation are supposedly at the service of a common well-being and austerity. But fear lies in the hearth of Market not only as a component but also awaiting the chance for waking up. Under such a context, the present work is aimed at describing and analyzing the coverage of Argentinean newspapers about the financial American crisis dated in 2008 whose consequences are felt psychologically inside and beyond the United States. From our point of view, the graphic mass media in Argentina demonstrate evident signs of pessimism by using words relating darkness, tremor, and collapse. A way of connecting with other deeper fears that still remains covered

Dracula and the principle of hospitality: A conceptual revision

El mal tiene la función de recordarnos que a pesar de nuestra racionalidad, y nuestro intento de perfección, existen patrones de contingencia que pueden disponer del caos y la destrucción en cualquier momentoThe present short essay review not only questions the current literature on Dracula and vampires, which defines the understanding of Dracula by his personal assets as non-live, authoritarian or even his thirst for human blood, but paves the ways to form a philosophical explanation that situates him in the impossibility to offer genuine hospitality. Dracula, who is as one of the most famous villains of West, seduces his potential victims under the right of hospitality, later they are attacked while sleeping. Evilness is conducive to the reminder that our sense of perfection, our rationality are not enough to explain the principle of contingency, this means that the worse may happen anytime, and anywher

(1997), La Condición Humana (1998), Eichmann en Jerusalén (1999) y Los orígenes del Totalitarismo (1987).Although the fear is a grounding emotion present in all beings, only humans tend to structure it not only to manipulate the environment but also the time. In consequence, human kind can make from fear a geographical landscape or even a narrative. Each society experiences a diversity of frights based on the disparities of their cultural restructuration. Nevertheless, only the fear (by means of the feeling of insecurity) allows the passage from democracy to dictatorship. Under such a context, the present paper places under the lens of scrutiny four valuable works, authored by Hannah Arendt: What politics is?, The Human Condition (1998), Eichmann in Jerusalem (1999) and the Origins of Totalitarianism (1987)
