The results study of the four introduced species of genus Cerasus Mill: С. avium (L.) Moench., C. besseyі Baіley., С. tomentosa (Thunb.) Wall. С. vulgаrіs L. in conditions of Left-Bank of Polissya are represented. Their morphological, biological, ecological parti cularities, seasonal rhythm of development are described. It is also determined that the plants in conditions of Left-Bank of Polissya go thorough the com plete cycle of development and are perspective for decorative plantation of towns.

Nematode Hsp90: highly conserved but functionally diverse

    Get PDF
Nematodes are amongst the most successful and abundant organisms on the planet with approximately 30 000 species described, although the actual number of species is estimated to be one million or more. Despite sharing a relatively simple and invariant body plan, there is considerable diversity within the phylum. Nematodes have evolved to colonize most ecological niches, and can be free-living or can parasitize plants or animals to the detriment of the host organism. In this review we consider the role of heat shock protein 90 (Hsp90) in the nematode life cycle. We describe studies on Hsp90 in the free-living nematode Caenorhabditis elegans and comparative work on the parasitic species Brugia pahangi, and consider whether a dependence upon Hsp90 can be exploited for the control of parasitic species

Effect of mechanical stresses on the coercive force of the heterophase non-interacting nanoparticles

The theoretical analysis of the effect of uniaxial stress on the magnetization of the system of noninteracting nanoparticles is done by an example of heterophase particles of maghemite, epitaxially coated with cobalt ferrite. It is shown that stretching leads to a decrease in the coercive force HcH_c, and compression leads to its growth. The residual saturation magnetization IrsI_{rs} of nanoparticles does not change. With increasing of interfacial exchange interaction, coercive force varies nonmonotonicallyComment: ICMSE-2012, Xiamen, PR
