Stabilization of the high-spin state of Co3+^{3+} in LaCo1−x_{1-x}Rhx_{x}O3_3

The rhodium doping in the LaCo$_{1-x}$Rh$_{x}$O$_3$ perovskite series ($x=0.02-0.5$) has been studied by X-ray diffraction, electric transport and magnetization measurements, complemented by electronic structure GGA+U calculations in supercell for different concentration regimes. No charge transfer between Co$^{3+}$ and Rh$^{3+}$ is evidenced. The diamagnetic ground state of LaCoO$_3$, based on Co$^{3+}$ in low-spin (LS) state, is disturbed even by a small doping of Rh. The driving force is the elastic energy connected with incorporation of a large Rh$^{3+}$ cation into the matrix of small LS Co$^{3+}$ cations, which is relaxed by formation of large Co$^{3+}$ in high-spin (HS) state in the next-nearest sites to the inserted Rh atom. With increasing temperature, the population of Co$^{3+}$ in HS state increases through thermal excitation, and a saturated phase is obtained close to room temperature, consisting of a nearest-neighbor correlation of small (LS Co$^{3+}$) and large (HS Co$^{3+}$ and LS Rh$^{3+}$) cations in a kind of double perovskite structure. The stabilizing role of elastic and electronic energy contributions is demonstrated in supercell calculations for dilute Rh concentration compared to other dopants with various trivalent ionic radius.Comment: 8 pages, 8 figure

Téma diplomové práce, bylo zvoleno společností Valeo Compressor Europe, s.r.o. Jedná se o návrh automatizace linky pro broušení součásti kompresoru. Součást je interně označována jako Cylinder a je nedílnou součástí nového typu rotačního kompresoru do klimatizačních jednotek osobních automobilů. Diplomová práce obsahuje kompletní návrh robotizovaného pracoviště od analýzy současného stavu, přes návrh konceptu, technickou specifikaci projektu až po výběr vhodného dodavatele spolu s investičním záměrem a ekonomickým zhodnocením. The aim is to propose an automation of the production line for grinding of a compressor part. The part is internally termed “Cylinder,” and it is an integral part of a new type of a rotational compressor for air-conditioning units of automobiles. The diploma thesis includes a complete proposal for the automation of workplace. The current state, the proposal of the concept, technical specification of the project, and the choice of a suitable supplier and economical assessment are included. Electron beam welding of parts made from aluminium alloy

Téma práce bylo zadáno firmou Valeo Compressor Humpolec, s.r.o (dále jen Valeo). Jedná se o elektronové svařování součásti ze slitiny hliníku, konkrétně o píst, který je určen do kompresoru klimatizace osobního automobilu. Cílem práce bylo vyhodnocení a návrh zlepšení pórovitosti na svařované ploše. Data potřebná pro analýzu a součastný stav svařované plochy byla poskytnuta firmou Valeo.The topic of this thesis was ordered by Valeo Compressor Humpolec Itd (further referred to as Valeo). It deals with the electron welding of a component made of an aluminium alloy, a piston specifically, which is made for an automobile air-conditioning compressor. The aim of this thesis was to analyze and suggest a way of increasing porosity of the welded area. The data needed for the analysis and the present state of the welded area was provided by Valeo.

Analysis of Control Tests of Rock Anchors in Different Geological Conditions

Cílem této práce je porovnat ustalování kotvy při kontrolních zkouškách a porovnat chování kotev v rozdílných geologických poměrech. Jako hlavní parametr pro porovnání zkoušek byla vybrána míra dotvarování, která má rozhodující vliv při zkoušení kotev. V první části práce je popsán význam technologie kotvení z historického hlediska. Ve druhé části je popsán účel kotev a jejich využití v různých stavebních odvětvích. Ve třetí část jsou uvedeny typy vyráběných kotev, popsána technologie provádění a zkoušení kotev. Ve čtvrté části jsou uvedeny příklady realizace kontrolních zkoušek na stavbách ve vybraných geologických oblastech Českého masívu a Západních Karpat v rámci České republiky. Pátá část se zabývá porovnáním a analýzou výsledků kontrolních zkoušek pro jednotlivé geologické jednotky. V závěru jsou shrnuty poznatky z této analýzy.The aim of this work is to compare the stabilization of the anchor during control tests and to compare the behavior of the anchors in different geological conditions. The creep rate, which has a decisive influence on the testing of anchors, was chosen as the main parameter for the comparison of tests. The first part describes the importance of anchoring technology from a historical point of view. The second part describes the purpose of anchors and their use in various construction industries. The third part lists the types of anchors produced, describes the technology of performing and testing anchors. The fourth part presents examples of the implementation of control tests on construction sites in selected geological areas of the Bohemian Massif and the Western Carpathians in the Czech Republic. The fifth part deals with the comparison and analysis of control test results for individual geological units.
