The role of TA in Systemic Innovation Policy

Starting from the perception of innovation as a multi actor, multi level strategic game, this paper addresses the role of strategic intelligence, more in particular of TA, in systemic innovation policies. First the history of TA in the US and Europe over the last 4 decades are described and its role in innovation policies discussed. Hereafter the role and (possible) impact of strategic intelligence and systemic innovation policies is analysed. Two recent cases of Constructive TA are used to illustrate how this role is operationalised. The paper is concluded with conclusions on how strategic intelligence may further reinforce systemic innovation policies. Special attention is paid to the role of strategic intelligence in empowering users and other non traditional actors in innovation processes.

Principal-agent theory and research policy: An introduction

The rational choice perspective is prominent in many sociological, economic and political science literature but has been undervalued until now in the field of science studies. This special issue attempts to revalorise this perspective by introducing the principal-agent theory with relation to research policy-making. The introduction presents the basic features of the model of principal-agent and reviews the theoretical development and applications in research policy. It summarises the main findings of the articles in this issue and concludes that the studies in the framework of principal-agent demonstrate the willingness of combining theoretical rigour and ‘requisite variety' by applying the theory to a large number of different fields linked to research policy-makin

Patterns of offending: behavioral health and criminogenic influences

Due to the higher arrest and recidivism rates of offenders with behavioral health conditions (BHCs), it is often assumed that BHCs are a direct risk factor for engaging in criminal behavior. This assumption, however, has been proven incorrect by numerous studies. As a result, predicting recidivism for offenders with BHCs would be best achieved through the examination of general risk factors, clinical factors, and patterns of offending. Most contemporary risk assessments consider BHCs in their models by examining clinical risk factors, such as diagnoses or symptoms of conditions. Unfortunately, the poor definition of BHCs by most risk assessments negatively impacts their predictive accuracy and represents a caveat to their overall effectiveness. To negate this weakness, the current study seeks to validate the Comprehensive Addiction and Psychological Assessment – 5 (CAAPE – 5), as both a diagnostic and risk assessment for offenders with BHCs by examining the associations between specific BHCs and types of offending

SUMBANGAN DAYA LEDAK OTOT TUNGKAI DAN KELENTUKAN PERGELANGAN TANGAN TERHADAP HASIL LAY UP SHOOT PADA SISWA PUTRA

Tujuan dari penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui: 1) Sumbangan antara daya ledak otot tungkai  terhadap  hasil  lay up  shoot,  2)  Sumbangan  kelentukan  pergelangan tangan terhadap hasil lay up shoot, 3) Sumbangan antara daya ledak otot tungkai dan kelentukan pergelangan tangan terhadap hasil lay up shoot. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain korelasional atau corelational design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa putra SMA Negeri 1 Sampang tahun 2014 yang berjumlah 12 siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler bolabasket. Teknik pengambilan data daya ledak otot tungkai yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan test vertical jump kemudian untuk mengukur kelentukan pergelangan tangan menggunakan geniometer serta melakukan lay up shoot dengan tangan kanan. Hasil perhitungan dengan program komputerisasi, terdapat sumbangan antara daya ledak otot tungkai dengan hasil lay up shoot diperoleh sumbangan sebesar 37,60% kemudian hasil perhitungan sumbangan antara kelentukan pergelangan tangan terhadap hasil lay up diperoleh sumbangan sebesar 58,70%. Sedangkan hasil perhitungan secara simultan sumbangan daya ledak otot tungkai dan kelentukan pergelangan tangan dengan hasil lay up shoot diperoleh sumbangan sebesar 66,80%.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada sumbangan yang signifikan antara daya ledak otot tungkai, kelentukan pergelangan tangan terhadap keterampilan lay up shoot dalam permainan bolabasket pada siswa putra pemain bolabasket di  SMA Negeri 1 Sampang tahun 2014 baik secara parsial maupun simultan

This study used non-probability sampling techniques with purposive sampling method with a sample of 70 samples. Data were collected through a questionnaire with data measurement techniques using a Likert scale. Instrument tests are validity tests and reliability tests. The data analysis test used is multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Service Quality has a positive and significant effect on Customer Satisfaction at Bau-Bau Family Restaurant, (2) Product Quality has a positive and significant effect on Customer Satisfaction at Bau-Bau Family Restaurant, (3) Service Quality and Product Quality have a positive and significant effect on Customer Satisfaction at Bau-Bau Family Restaurant

Creativity and destructiveness in art and psychoanalysis

This paper focuses on the creativity of the patient in analysis and compares it to that of the artist. Taking artists’ descriptions of their practices as its starting point, the paper suggests that the relationship between patient and analyst parallels that between artist and medium. Psychoanalysis and artistic process can both be seen in terms of a complex interplay between oneness and separateness in which aggression and destructiveness play an essential part. The paper includes a discussion of different forms of aggression and destructiveness within the creative process with particular reference to Winnicott’s paper ‘The Use of an Object’ and Rozsika Parker’s ‘The Angel in the House’. It suggests that a consideration of artists’ creative processes can shed light both on the experience of the patient in analysis and on the role of the analyst in facilitating the development of the patient’s creativity

Selama ini budidaya jamur tiram dalam proses penanamannya masih banyak menggunakan cara tradisional dalam proses menentukan kelembaban dan suhu pada ruangannya. Proses manual tersebut dirasa kurang efesien dan membutuhkan waktu yang cukup lama sehingga menguras tenaga dan waktu petani jamur tiram. Pada proyek akhir ini dirancang sebuah alat yang mampu mengontrol suhu dan kelembaban pada ruangan jamur tiram berbasis mikrokontroller AT-mega16 yang didalamnya tersimpan dan terprogram yang mampu menjalankan alat untuk proses pengatur kelembaban dan suh
