Geometrical Loci and CFTs via the Virasoro Symmetry of the mKdV-SG hierarchy: an excursus

    Get PDF
We will describe the appearance of specific algebraic KdV potentials as a consequence of a requirement on a integro-differential expression. This expression belongs to a class generated by means of Virasoro vector fields acting on the KdV field. The ``almost'' rational KdV fields are described in terms of a geometrical locus of complex points. A class of solutions of this locus has recently appeared as a description of any conformal Verma module without degeneration.Comment: LaTex, 9 page

    Hadron Spectroscopy at PANDA

FAIR a new International Facility for Antiproton and Ion Reaserach, is under construction at Darmstadt, in Germany. This will provide scientists in the world with outstanding beams and experimental conditions for studying matter at the level of atoms, nuclei, and other subnuclear constituents. An antiproton beam with intensity up to 2x107^7 pˉ/s\bar{p}/s and high momentum resolution will be available at the High Energy Storage Ring (HESR) where the Pˉ\bar{P}ANDA (Antiproton Annihilation At Darmstadt) detector will be installed. In this paper we will illustrate the details of the Pˉ\bar{P}ANDA scientific program related to hadron spectroscopy, after a brief introduction about the FAIR facility and the Pˉ\bar{P}ANDA detector.Comment: 4 pages, 1 figure. Non-Local Virasoro Symmetries in the mKdV Hierarchy

We generalize the dressing symmetry construction in mKdV hierarchy. This leads to non-local vector fields (expressed in terms of vertex operators) closing a Virasoro algebra. We argue that this algebra realization should play an important role in the study of 2D integrable field theories and in particular should be related to the Deformed Virasoro Algebra (DVA) when the construction is perturbed out of the critical theory.Comment: 11 pages, LaTex fil

Hidden Virasoro Symmetry of (Soliton Solutions of) the Sine Gordon Theory

We present a construction of a Virasoro symmetry of the sine-Gordon (SG) theory. It is a dynamical one and has nothing to do with the space-time Virasoro symmetry of 2D CFT. Although it is clear how it can be realized dyrectly in the SG field theory, we are rather concerned here with the corresponding N-soliton solutions. We present explicit expressions for their infinithesimal transformations and show that they are local in this case. Some preliminary stages about the quantization of the classical results presented in this paper are also given.Comment: 17 pages, corrected some typos, two references adde

Towards a Context Knowledge Taxonomy. Combined Methodologies to Improve a Fast-Search Concept Extraction for an Ontology Population

    Get PDF
Context in Architectural Design can be defined-related-comparable to hypothesis and boundary conditions in mathematics. An eco-system that influences it by means of natural and artificial events, space and time dimension. The research has the aim to analyze the critical issues related to Context by providing a contribution to the study of interactions between Context Knowledge and Architectural Design and how it can be used to improve the performance of the buildings and reducing design mistakes. The research focusing on formal ontologies, has developed a model that enables a semantic approach to design application programs, to manage information, to answer design questions and to have a clear relation between the formal representation of the context domain and its meanings. This context model provides an advancement on the state of the art in simplified design assumptions, in term of ontology ambiguity and complexity reduction, by using algorithms to extract and optimize branches of the graph. The extraction does not limit the number of relations, that can be extended and improve context taxonomy coherency and accuracy
