Single crystals of the title compound, Pb2CrF7, were obtained by solid-state reaction. The monoclinic structure is isotypic with Pb2RhF7 and is built up of CrF6 3− octa­hedra isolated from each other, inserted in a fluorite-related matrix of PbF6 distorted octa­hedra, and PbF8 square anti­prisms sharing edges and corners. The seventh F atom is ‘independent’, connected only to three Pb atoms within FPb3 triangles, sharing an edge and building an almost planar Pb4F2 unit, so that the formula can alternatively be written as Pb2F(CrF6)

Introduction à Kopernikus : Pistes de réflexion autour du sacré

L’auteure se propose d’examiner l’un des aspects les plus significatifs de l’univers de Claude Vivier, le sacré, en s’appuyant sur des éléments biographiques, ses écrits, son oeuvre en général, et plus spécifiquement l’opéra « rituel de mort » Kopernikus. Sont envisagés dans cet article deux aspects du sacré : le numineux et le merveilleux. Vie et oeuvre de Vivier, directement conditionnées l’une par l’autre dans l’imaginaire du compositeur, oscillent entre le numineux (moteur de la vie) et le merveilleux (moteur de l’oeuvre), entre deux représentations mentales, le sacrifice (du latin sacrare, « consacrer à une divinité ») et l’extase (du latin extasis, « être hors de soi ; égarement de l’esprit » : « ravissement »). Agni, le double du compositeur, personnage central et le seul nommément désigné dans l’opéra, évoque le numineux associé au concept de sacrifice. Alice, l’ombre d’Agni, symbole de l’imagination constamment sollicitée, représente le merveilleux associé au concept d’extase. Entre le numineux et le merveilleux, le sacrifice et l’extase, l’existence et l’oeuvre, s’installe un vide qu’il reviendra à la musique de combler.The author examines the sacred dimension in Claude Vivier’s universe by appealing to the life, the writings and the works in general, and in particular to his “ritual of death,” the opera Kopernikus. Two aspects of the sacred are envisaged in this article, that of the ‘numinous’ and the ‘marvellous.’ In Vivier, the life and the works influence eachother reciprocally, oscillating between the numinous (the impetus for life) and the marvellous (impetus for works), between two mental representations, that of sacrifice (from the Latin sacrare, ‘to devote to a divinity’) and ecstasy (from the Latin extasis, ‘to be outside of oneself’; ‘to lose one’s mind’; ‘rapture’). Agni, the composer’s double, the central figure of the opera (and the only named character), evokes the numinous associated with the concept of sacrifice. Alice, the shadow of Agni, symbol of the constantly sollicited imagination, represents the marvellous associated with the concept of extasy. Between the numinous and the marvellous, sacrifice and ecstacy, existence and art, a void takes shape which music is called upon to fill

With the extension of the Exclusive Economic Zone, Mexico has been endowed with a tremendous oceanic potential. Although without any maritime history, the country embarked on the development of its marine biological resources ; an ailing ' 'agricultural revolution" was replaced by the , "blue revolution". An ambitious national plan for the development of its fisheries was set up; its implementation would improve the food supply situation, create thousands of jobs, increase exportations and, by turning out foreign fleets from its territorial waters, would also flatter Mexican nationalism. However, only part of these ambitions came to be. Lack of maritime know-how and a weak internal market have prevented Mexico from becoming free from external constraints. Relationship between properties of parental code switching behavior and parent report of children's lexical acquisition

This study investigated the code switching behavior of bilingual parents when speaking to their children, and the relationship between this code switching and children's vocabulary development. The speech of 18 bilingual Spanish-English parents was transcribed and analyzed, and the total Spanish-English vocabularies of their 18-24 month old children were calculated by parent report. All of the parents code switched at least once, and several parents code switched fairly often. Intra-sentential code switching occurred less often than inter-sentential code switching; however, only the former had a significant, positive relationship with vocabulary. Intra-sentential code switching also positively related to translation equivalents in children's vocabularies. Code switching, in general, did not seem to be harmful to children's lexical development. Other factors possibly contributing to the results, along with directions for future research, are discussed

Vegetative Rapid Assessment and Habitat Quality Analysis of Steidtmann Woods

Due to invasive species and the assumption of an unhealthy ecosystem, Steidtmann Woods is an underutilized piece of land owned by Bowling Green State University. However, the property had never been analyzed. The proposed hypothesis was that Steidtmann was indeed in destress and its ecosystem could benefit from intervention—removal of invasive species and supplementation of natives. Through a rapid vegetative analysis, data was collected in several regions of the woods to identify what navies and non-natives were present as well as to identify their proportions. With that data, the species evenness, richness, and diversity was calculated; first, with raw field data and secondly, with data that merged invasive species into one mega-species to see the true effects of invasive populations. The data concluded that Steidtmann needs restoration and that the presence of invasive species reduces the properties overall health
