Objectives: To investigate the 5-year prevalence of patients admitted to public inpatient care units due to a mental disorder, stratifying them by age group and diagnosis, and to assess trends of admissions over this time period in Porto Alegre. Methods: All admissions to the public mental health care system regulated by the city-owned electronic system Administração Geral dos Hospitais (AGHOS) were included in the analysis. The total population size was obtained by estimations of Fundação de Economia e Estatística (FEE). General information about 5-year prevalence of inpatient admissions, time-series trends e prevalence by age groups and diagnosis were presented. Results: There were 32,608 admissions over the 5-year period analyzed. The overall prevalence of patients was 1.62% among the total population, 0.01% among children, 1.12% among adolescents, 2.28% among adults and 0.93% among the elderly. The most common diagnosis was drug-related, followed by mood, alcohol-related and psychotic disorders. There was a linear trend showing an increase in the number of admissions from 2013 to the midst of 2014, which dropped in 2015. Conclusions: Admissions due to mental disorders are relatively common, mainly among adults and related to drug use and mood disorders. Time trends varied slightly over the 5 years. Prevalence rates in real-world settings might be useful for policymakers interested in planning the public mental health system in large Brazilian cities

This research evaluated, in Londrina, PR, Brazil, ‘Folha Murcha' orange trees on the rootstocks: ‘Caipira' orange (Citrus sinensis (L.) Osb.), ‘Rangpur' lime (Citrus limonia Osb.), ‘Sunki' mandarin (Citrus sunki Hort. ex Tan.), ‘Florida' rough lemon (Citrus jambhiri Lush.), ‘Cleopatra' mandarin (Citrus reshni Hort. ex Tan.), and ‘Volkamer' lemon (Citrus volkameriana Ten. & Pasq.). The experimental design was used as randomized blocks with six rootstocks as treatments, five replications and three plants per plot. Height, diameter, and canopy volume were significantly higher in trees budded on ‘Caipira' orange, when compared with those budded on ‘Volkamer' lemon. The smallest difference between trunk diameters below/above the bud occurred in trees on ‘Rangpur' lime and ‘Sunki' mandarin. Cumulative yield was superior for trees on ‘Rangpur' lime and ‘Caipira' orange, without showing statistical difference between themselves, but were significantly different from those on ‘Cleopatra' mandarin and ‘Volkamer' lemon. Yield efficiency was not influenced by the studied rootstocks. Fruit weight was significantly higher for trees on ‘Sunki' mandarin, compared to those on ‘Rangpur' lime, ‘Florida' rough lemon, and ‘Volkamer' lemon. Total soluble solids (TSS) showed high contents in fruits of ‘Folha Murcha' orange on ‘Volkamer' lemon and on ‘Rangpur' lime, without differences between themselves. Total titratable acidity (TTA), (TSS/TTA) ratio, and juice color were not influenced by the rootstocks tested. ‘Rangpur' lime and ‘Volkamer' lemon provided significantly higher technological index values in relation to the other rootstocks. The juice quality parameters evaluated were within the acceptable standards for orange canopy varieties

This work evaluated for 14 years, in Paranavaí, PR, Brazil, the performance of 'Folha Murcha' orange trees budded on the following rootstocks: 'Rangpur' lime (Citrus limonia), 'African' rough lemon (Citrus jambhiri), 'Volkamer' lemon (Citrus volkameriana), 'C-13' citrange (Citrus sinensis × Poncirus trifoliata), trifoliate orange (Poncirus trifoliata), 'Sunki' mandarin (Citrus sunki) and 'Cleopatra' mandarin (Citrus reshni). The experimental design was in blocks, with seven treatments (rootstocks), four replications, three trees per plot of each rootstock. The tree canopy volumes on 'Cleopatra' mandarin and 'African' rough lemon were significantly larger. Trees on 'Rangpur' lime showed the smallest difference between the rootstock and scion trunk diameters. Cumulative yield was higher in trees on 'African' rough lemon and 'Cleopatra' mandarin, and smaller on trifoliate orange. Alternate bearing was not marked in trees of the studied rootstocks. Total soluble solids content was significantly higher in fruits obtained from trees budded on trifoliate orange, and the lowest value occurred on 'African' rough lemon. The juice fruits quality was within the acceptable standards for orange varieties. The 'Cleopatra' mandarin and the 'African' rough lemon are promising as rootstocks for 'Folha Murcha' orange, under the conditions of the evaluated site
