El trabajo contempla la experiencia vivida en las Reservas Naturales de la Sociedad Civil, minga ASOYARCOCHA en el corregimiento del Encano, Pasto – Nariño (Refugio Cristalino y Cuatro Esquinas).La Minga Asociativa Yarcocha (ASOYARCOCHA) es una organización de base social estructurada por campesinos e indígenas Quillacingas, que forman parte de las mingas investigativas (MI) de la Asociación para el Desarrollo Campesino (ADC). La minga Asoyarcocha surge como un proceso de búsqueda de alternativas económicas para sobrevivir con herramientas que permitan hacer un buen uso de los recursos, del espacio y permaneciendo en la región desarrollando un alto sentido de pertenencia. Contribución al estudio de la guayaba coronilla, psidium friedrichsthalianum beng-niedenzu

Se colectaron semillas de Psidium friedrichsthalianum en algunos sitios de Colombia, para iniciar el establecimiento de una colección. Semilla almacenada hasta por seis meses no fue afectada en su germinación en comparación con semillas sin almacenamiento (92%). En estado de vivero, la planta presentó dos fases de crecimiento, entre los 90 y 160 días y entre los 160 y 190 días. Se halló la ecuación AF = 26.6 + 0.619 (LA - 42.2) con R2 de 95.41 para estimar área foliar (AF) con base en el producto largo por ancho de las hojas. La especie presentó mayores floraciones en julio y diciembre. Fructificación en agosto-septiembre y enero-febrero y defoliaciones altas en enero y agosto. La proporción de flores que llegó a fruto fue de 70-80 %. El modelo logístico no describió bien el desarrollo del fruto, para el cual se encontraron dos fases, crecimiento lento de los 30 a los 105 días y crecimiento rápido 105 a 135 días. Se describió la morfología de la flor antes, durante y después de floración. Se identificaron insectos asociados con la planta.In order to founding a collection, seeds of Psidium friedrichsthalianum were collected in some places in Colombia. Seeds stored up to six months were not affected in their germination in comparison to seeds that not were stored (92 %), The plant shows two stages of growth in seedling stat: from 90 to 160 days and from 1 and amp;0 to 190 days. The equation AF= 26.6 +0.619 (LA-42.2) with R2 of 95A1 for estimating foliar area (FA) based on the product, length and width of the leaves. The species showed higher flowering between july and december, fructification was august to september and from january to february. The defoliations appeared in january and in august . From 70 to 80 percent of flowers become fruit. The growth of the fruit was not well described by the logistic partnership. The fruit showed two stages: slow growth from 30 to 105 days and fast growth from 105 to 135 days. A Phase I/II Clinical Trial to evaluate the efficacy of baricitinib to prevent respiratory insufficiency progression in onco-hematological patients affected with COVID19: a structured summary of a study protocol for a randomised controlled trial

Objectives: Baricitinib is supposed to have a double effect on SARS-CoV2 infection. Firstly, it reduces the inflammatory response through the inhibition of the Januse-Kinase signalling transducer and activator of transcription (JAK-STAT) pathway. Moreover, it reduces the receptor mediated viral endocytosis by AP2-associated protein kinase 1 (AAK1) inhibition. We propose the use of baricinitib to prevent the progression of the respiratory insufficiency in SARS-CoV2 pneumonia in onco-haematological patients. In this phase Ib/II study, the primary objective in the safety cohort is to describe the incidence of severe adverse events associated with baricitinib administration. The primary objective of the randomized phase (baricitinib cohort versus standard of care cohort) is to evaluate the number of patients who did not require mechanical oxygen support since start of therapy until day +14 or discharge (whichever it comes first). The secondary objectives of the study (only randomized phase of the study) are represented by the comparison between the two arms of the study in terms of mortality and toxicity at day+30. Moreover, a description of the immunological related changes between the two arms of the study will be reported. Multiwavelength studies of MHD waves in the solar chromosphere: An overview of recent results

The chromosphere is a thin layer of the solar atmosphere that bridges the relatively cool photosphere and the intensely heated transition region and corona. Compressible and incompressible waves propagating through the chromosphere can supply significant amounts of energy to the interface region and corona. In recent years an abundance of high-resolution observations from state-of-the-art facilities have provided new and exciting ways of disentangling the characteristics of oscillatory phenomena propagating through the dynamic chromosphere. Coupled with rapid advancements in magnetohydrodynamic wave theory, we are now in an ideal position to thoroughly investigate the role waves play in supplying energy to sustain chromospheric and coronal heating. Here, we review the recent progress made in characterising, categorising and interpreting oscillations manifesting in the solar chromosphere, with an impetus placed on their intrinsic energetics.Comment: 48 pages, 25 figures, accepted into Space Science Review

The Rise and Fall of "Respectable" Spanish Liberalism, 1808-1923: An Explanatory Framework

The article focuses on the reasons behind both the consolidation of what I have termed “respectable” liberalism between the 1830s and the 1840s and its subsequent decline and fall between 1900 and 1923. In understanding both processes I study the links established between “respectable” liberals and propertied elites, the monarchy, and the Church. In the first phase these links served to consolidate the liberal polity. However, they also meant that many tenets of liberal ideology were compromised. Free elections were undermined by the operation of caciquismo, monarchs established a powerful position, and despite the Church hierarchy working with liberalism, the doctrine espoused by much of the Church was still shaped by the Counter-Reformation. Hence, “respectable” liberalism failed to achieve a popular social base. And the liberal order was increasingly denigrated as part of the corrupt “oligarchy” that ruled Spain. Worse still, between 1916 and 1923 the Church, monarch, and the propertied elite increasingly abandoned the liberal Monarchist Restoration. Hence when General Primo de Rivera launched his coup the rug was pulled from under the liberals’ feet and there was no one to cushion the fall
