Trabzon Gülbahar Hatun and Emir Mehmet Tombs

Trabzon il merkezinde dört türbe bulunmaktadır; Hamza Paşa, Ahi Evren, Gülbahar Hatun ve Emir Mehmet türbeleri. Bunlardan Gülbahar Hatun ve Emir Mehmet Türbeleri Osmanlı mimarisinde oldukça yaygın bir türbe çeşidi olan sekizgen planlı yapılardır. Trabzon’daki tüm Osmanlı yapılarının iyi korunmuş yapıtları arasında ilk sırada Gülbahar Hatun Camii ile Gülbahar Hatun Türbesi gelir. 1505/1506 tarihinde yapılan Gülbahar Hatun Türbesi Yavuz Sultan Selim tarafından annesi adına yaptırılmıştır. Emir Mehmet Türbesi ise kitabesinden anlaşıldığı üzere 1523-1524 yılları arasında Trabzon valiliği yapmış olan Emir Mehmet adına inşa edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada; Trabzon ilindeki sekizgen planlı türbelere örnek olarak Gülbahar Hatun ve Emir Mehmet Türbeleri literatüre girmiş bilgileri, eski ve yeni fotoğrafl arı ve rölöve çalışmalarıyla birlikte mimari ve süsleme özellikleri açısından tanıtılacaktır

Interior in Residential Premises That Support Ageing in Place for Older Users

One of the effective factors in enabling individuals to age in place and to spend their old age periods more actively and with better quality is the physical environmental characteristics of the dwelling and its immediate surroundings. In this study, which is based on the assertion that individuals prefer to live in their own homes in old age, it is aimed to determine the features that should be carried by the houses that will support the aging in place of elderly individuals and to reveal the design principles. For this purpose, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 70 elderly users aged 65 and over in their residences. General frequency distributions and chi-square test analyses of the obtained data were performed in SPSS statistical program and descriptive content analysis was performed on open-ended questions and the data were examined with the comparison tables created. Then, all the data obtained from the field study are evaluated together with the literature information and the principles that should be considered in the renovation of the houses for the use of elderly users in line with the new needs are presented. With the design principles presented, it is envisaged that elderly users will continue their lives in a better quality and active way in their residences by extending the time they can be self-sufficient

Tasarım eğitiminde duyusal farkındalık ve yaratıcılık i̇lişkisi üzerine

Bu çalışma ile öncelikle öğrencilere duyularına yönelik bir farkındalık yaratmak; daha sonra bu farkındalığı, eğitim içindeki aktivitelere dâhil ederek, uygulanacak çok duyulu farkındalık eğitimleri ile öğrencilerin yaratıcı düşüncelerini geliştirmek amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla hazırlanan atölyelerde verilecek duyusal farkındalık eğitimleri sonucunda; öğrencilerin duyularını içselleştirebilmesi ve bireylerin potansiyel farkındalıklarına olan bakış açılarının artması sonucunda yaratıcılıklarının da artacağı öngörülmüştür

Due to changing public requirements and different user groups needing different residential location, designers are persuaded to concentrate on approaches that will fulfill the preference of users and the requirements of user-needs. However, whether the designed locations and settlements can fulfill the diverse and changing requirements and expectations of users or not, is always open to discussion. This subject is becoming important day by day in countries like Turkey where public change is rapid, and where household change is continuous with families of different size, and of diverse cultural and socio-economical structure. For this purpose, obtaining data that will support the theoretical study regarding the dynamic stucture and location of usage types for the family is important. In this study, the aim is to form the parameters that will obtain data for the accommodations to be designed in the future, by determining the corresponding features of private residential sites where users are not happy with their houses, where the changes they make aims to satisfy their expectations and requirements from the house unit. Under this scope, an in situ observation and a survey with users was made. The observations were performed in two stages, where in the first stage, architectural projects of the sites and houses were obtained from authorities and house-unit usage areas, location sizes and spatial-functional relations were determined; in the second stage, a survey was made with randomly selected users to interrogate the alterations they made in their houses in terms of the house unit plan. They were asked to state the negative features of their houses they are not happy with, the ideal type of accommodation they wanted to own or move to, the type of alterations they have made in their houses. The outcome is that, most of the users are not happy with their original plan types and plan sizes; and almost all have made alterations of different sizes and scales in their houses.Publisher's Versio
