Stereoselective Iron-catalyzed Intermolecular Olefin Amino-oxygenation, Amino-fluorination And Trifluoromethyl Azidation

    Get PDF
This dissertation is concerned about four types of iron-catalyzed selective nitrogen atom transfer reactions developed in Xu group during 2012 and 2017, which can facilitate efficient access to valuable functional molecules from readily available petro-chemicals and other abundant starting olefinic materials. These iron-catalyzed stereoselective olefin difunctionalization processes include intermolecular olefin amino-oxygenation, amino-fluorination and trifluoromethyl azidation. Compared to all other existing methods, our strategies have a broader substrate scope as well as improved or complementary selectivity in terms of regioslectivity, diastereoselectivity and enantioselectivity. To achieve a fine balance between catalyst reactivity, stability, and reaction selectivity, we explored a variety of iron catalysts, ligands and new amination reagents. Our methods allow chemists to conveniently transform a broad range of simple, abundant olefin precursors to a variety of functionalized vicinal amino alcohols and vicinal fluoro primary amines that are valuable in both organic synthesis and biomedical sciences

Abstract: The level of the R&D statistics quality is directly related to the accuracy of the S&T policy research and making, so to explore the causes of the R&D statistical error is great significance for improving the R&D statistics quality. On the basis of the results of previous studies and seek expert advice, the paper summarizes the possible causes of the R&D statistical error. Through field research to get first-hand data of Shaanxi province, the paper identifies the key causes of the R&D statistical error based on principal component analysis. We found that: the key causes of the R&D statistical error are followed by inconsistent of R&D statistical and accounting port, lack of training to the R&D fill staff, not allowed to grasp the connotation and extension of the R&D indicators and more difficult to obtain data. Therefore, the R&D statistical work should: on the one hand to strengthen among the various departments exchange and communication to clarify the port of R&D statistical and accounting; the other hand should be carried out theoretical studies to solve technical problems in the accounting and define the connotation and extension of the R&D indicators; Moreover, it should be do R&D statistics training to improve professional quality of R&D fill staff.Key words: Principal component analysis; R&D statistics; Statistical erro

Nonparaxial propagation properties of an anomalous hollow beam with orbital angular momentum

    Get PDF
The analytical nonparaxial propagation formula of an anomalous hollow beam (AHB) with orbital angular momentum (OAM) in free space is derived based on the generalized Raleigh-Sommerfeld diffraction integral. The nonparaxial properties of AHB with OAM such as intensity, phase and OAM density distributions are studied in detail, using the pertinent nonparaxial propagation formula. The comparison between the paraxial and nonparaxial results is also carried out. The results show that the nonparaxial properties of an AHB with OAM are determined by the initial beam parameters, such as beam waist size and topological charge and propagation distance

Sequential method for rapid early diagnosis of white spot syndrome virus in crayfish

    Get PDF
We developed a practical method to rapidly detect and diagnose latent white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) in infected crayfish that were non-symptomatic for WSSV. This method included a simplified extraction of DNA template, optimized loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP), and final visualization of the product by means of staining with SYBR green I. Using this method, WSSV was detected in crayfish that had been artificially infected in two ways: at 5 h after injection, and 24 h after feeding with tissue from WSSV-infected crayfish (at a stage when such infected crayfish were non-symptomatic), and a thousand times or more dilution can omit fluorescent background when SYBR green I was used. Results indicate that this was a rapid, convenient, and highly sensitive method for the early diagnosis and detection of WSSV. The whole detection procedure took less than one hour to complete.Key words: White spot syndrome virus, loop-mediated isothermal amplification, SYBR green I, Procambarus clarkii, early diagnosis

Efficacy and Safety of Everolimus for Maintenance Immunosuppression of Kidney Transplantation: A Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials

Background Conversion to everolimus is often used in kidney transplantation to overcome calcineurin inhibitor (CNI) nephrotoxicity but there is conflicting evidence for this approach. Objectives To investigate the benefits and harm from randomized clinical trials (RCTs) involving the conversion from CNI to everolimus after kidney transplantation. Methods Databases were searched up to March 2016. Two reviewers independently assessed trials for eligibility and quality, and extracted data. Results are expressed as risk ratio (RR) or mean difference (MD) with 95% confidence intervals (CI). Results Eleven RCTs, with a total of 1,633 patients, met the final inclusion criteria. Patients converted to everolimus had improved renal function at 1 year posttransplant with an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) of 5.36 mL/min per 1.73 m2 greater than patients remaining on CNI (p = 0.0005) and the longer-term results (\u3e 1 year) of renal function was identical to that of 1 year. There was not a substantial difference in graft loss, mortality, and the occurrence of adverse events (AEs) or serious AEs. However, the risks of acute rejection and trial termination due to AEs with everolimus are respectively 1.82 and 2.63 times greater than patients staying on CNI at 1 year posttransplant (p = 0.02, p = 0.03, respectively). Further, those patients who converted to everolimus had a substantially greater risk of anemia, hyperlipidemia, hypercholesterolemia, hypokalemia, proteinuria, stomatitis, mouth ulceration, and acne. Conclusions Conversion from CNI to everolimus after kidney transplantation is associated with improved renal function in the first 5 years posttransplant but increases the risk of acute rejection at 1 year posttransplant and may not be well endured

Stochastic management of hybrid AC/DC microgrids considering electric vehicles charging demands

The high growth of the automotive industry reveals the very bright future of this technology and its high penetration effects on the human society. No doubt that the random and volatile charging demand of these devices would affect the power grid optimal operation and scheduling which may be regarded as a new challenge. Therefore, this paper investigates the stochastic scheduling of hybrid AC/DC microgrids considering the plugin hybrid electric vehicles charging demands, distributed all over the grid. Three different charging patterns, called coordinated, uncoordinated and smart charging models with different characteristics for the charger type, capacity and market share are proposed. Moreover, different types of renewable energy sources including wind turbine, solar panel and fuel cell are modeled and considered in the scheduling process of the hybrid microgrid. In order to mitigate the charging effects of electric vehicles on the hybrid AC–DC microgrid operation, some remotely switches are considered in the system which make it possible for changing the topology and power flow way. In order to model the uncertainty effects, a data-driven framework based on point estimate method and support vector machine is developed. This would make it possible to extract out the standard deviation value of the uncertain parameters and reflect their impacts on the microgrid operation problem through the limited concentration points. A novel evolving solution based on flower pollination algorithm is also proposed to solve the problem optimally. An IEEE standard test system is used as the hybrid AC/DC microgrid case study to assess the performance of proposed model. This work was supported by the Scientific Research Foundation for Young and Middle-aged of Qinghai University ( 2019-QGY-12

The prospective outcome of the monkeypox outbreak in 2022 and characterization of monkeypox disease immunobiology

A new threat to global health re-emerged with monkeypox’s advent in early 2022. As of November 10, 2022, nearly 80,000 confirmed cases had been reported worldwide, with most of them coming from places where the disease is not common. There were 53 fatalities, with 40 occurring in areas that had never before recorded monkeypox and the remaining 13 appearing in the regions that had previously reported the disease. Preliminary genetic data suggest that the 2022 monkeypox virus is part of the West African clade; the virus can be transmitted from person to person through direct interaction with lesions during sexual activity. It is still unknown if monkeypox can be transmitted via sexual contact or, more particularly, through infected body fluids. This most recent epidemic’s reservoir host, or principal carrier, is still a mystery. Rodents found in Africa can be the possible intermediate host. Instead, the CDC has confirmed that there are currently no particular treatments for monkeypox virus infection in 2022; however, antivirals already in the market that are successful against smallpox may mitigate the spread of monkeypox. To protect against the disease, the JYNNEOS (Imvamune or Imvanex) smallpox vaccine can be given. The spread of monkeypox can be slowed through measures such as post-exposure immunization, contact tracing, and improved case diagnosis and isolation. Final Thoughts: The latest monkeypox epidemic is a new hazard during the COVID-19 epidemic. The prevailing condition of the monkeypox epidemic along with coinfection with COVID-19 could pose a serious condition for clinicians that could lead to the global epidemic community in the form of coinfection
