    Compressive Sensing Based on HQS for Image reconstruction

    This work solves the image distortion problem caused by the noise generated during the sampling and reconstruction process, a compressive sensing algorithm based on half quadratic splitting (CS-HQS) is proposed to reconstruct images in this paper. For the part dominated by error terms, the regularization term is introduced and the second-order momentum adaptive gradient descent method is used to get the auxiliary variables. For the part dominated by the sparse prior of compressive sensing, the Bayesian maximum posterior inference is used to get the sparse coeffi cient. The combination of the two methods not only avoids the generation of random noise, but also enhances the stability of the model. The experimental results demonstrate that the strong robustness of the proposed algorithm

    Trajectory tracking control of a quadrotor UAV based on sliding mode active disturbance rejection control

    This paper proposes a sliding mode active disturbance rejection control scheme to deal with trajectory tracking control problems for the quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Firstly, the differential signal of the reference trajectory can be obtained directly by using the tracking differentiator (TD), then the design processes of the controller can be simplified. Secondly, the estimated values of the UAV's velocities, angular velocities, total disturbance can be acquired by using extended state observer (ESO), and the total disturbance of the system can be compensated in the controller in real time, then the robustness and anti-interference capability of the system can be improved. Finally, the sliding mode controller based on TD and ESO is designed, the stability of the closed-loop system is proved by Lyapunov method. Simulation results show that the control scheme proposed in this paper can make the quadrotor track the desired trajectory quickly and accurately. &nbsp

    Unified linear time-invariant model predictive control for strong nonlinear chaotic systems

    It is well known that an alone linear controller is difficult to control a chaotic system, because intensive nonlinearities exist in such system. Meanwhile, depending closely on a precise mathematical modeling of the system and high computational complexity, model predictive control has its inherent drawback in controlling nonlinear systems. In this paper, a unified linear time-invariant model predictive control for intensive nonlinear chaotic systems is presented. The presented model predictive control algorithm is based on an extended state observer, and the precise mathematical modeling is not required. Through this method, not only the required coefficient matrix of impulse response can be derived analytically, but also the future output prediction is explicitly calculated by only using the current output sample. Therefore, the computational complexity can be reduced sufficiently. The merits of this method include, the Diophantine equation needing no calculation, and independence of precise mathematical modeling. According to the variation of the cost function, the order of the controller can be reduced, and the system stability is enhanced. Finally, numerical simulations of three kinds of chaotic systems confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method

    Microfiber-based polarization beam splitter and its application for passively mode-locked all-fiber laser

    Nonlinear polarization evolution based on polarization beam splitter (PBS) is a classical technique for passive mode-locking of fiber lasers. Different from commonly used bulky PBS, in this paper all-fiber PBSs composed of two parallel coupled microfibers have been proposed and fabricated under the condition of appropriate microfiber diameter and coupling length. Using our fabricated microfiber PBSs, passively mode-locked all-fiber lasers have also been demonstrated. The results indicate that the microfiber-based PBS has advantages of simple fabrication, compact size, and most importantly, variable polarization extinction ratio and operation bandwidth. The all-fiber mode-locked lasers with the microfiber PBSs generating stable pulses at both 1.0 μm and 1.5 μm wavelength bands have comparable performance with their counterparts based on bulky PBSs. It may be a step towards true all-fiber mode-locked laser and other all-fiber systems

    Receding Horizon Trajectory Optimization with Terminal Impact Specifications

    The trajectory optimization problem subject to terminal impact time and angle specifications can be reformulated as a nonlinear programming problem using the Gauss pseudospectral method. The cost function of the trajectory optimization problem is modified to reduce the terminal control energy. A receding horizon optimization strategy is implemented to reject the errors caused by the motion of a surface target. Several simulations were performed to validate the proposed method via the C programming language. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm and that the real-time requirement can be easily achieved if the C programming language is used to realize it

    Does Internet use connect smallholder farmers to a healthy diet? Evidence from rural China

    IntroductionUndernutrition and micronutrient malnutrition remain problems of significant magnitude among small-scale subsistence farmers, posing a serious threat to their health and well-being. Developing a healthy diet can effectively reduce this threat. Fortunately, the Internet can speed up the process.MethodsBased on survey data from 5,114 farm households in nine provinces in China, this study quantitatively assesses the impact of Internet use on the dietary quality of smallholder farmers using OLS regression models and PSM models.Results/Discussion(1) Internet use can significantly contribute to dietary diversity and dietary rationality among smallholder farmers, thus optimizing their dietary structure. (2) Internet use significantly increased the average consumption amounts of milk and its products (2.9 g), fruits (21.5 g), eggs (7.5 g), and vegetables (27.1 g), while also decreasing the intake of salts (1.5 g) and oil (3.8 g). (3) The pull of internet use to improve diet quality is more significant for smallholder households with lower levels of education, older heads of households, and higher household incomes. (4) A possible mechanism is that Internet use increases household income and information access skills of rural residents, thus improving their dietary quality. In summary, governments should further promote Internet penetration in rural areas for health purposes
