LA-ICPMS zircon U-Pb dating of the Adebo quartz diorite pluton in the Ailaoshan tectonic zone on the southern margin of the Yangtze Block gives the Neoproterozoic age of 800 ± 7 Ma and ɛHf(t) values in the range of -1.03 to +3.75 with two-stage model age of 1.3-1.6 Ga. The pluton is characterized by relatively low SiO2 (60.97-64.41 wt. %) and total alkalis (K2O + Na2O, 7.35-9.14 wt. %) and high Al2O3 content (16.98-18.21 wt. %) with mg-number of 36-39. REE-normalized patterns show enrichment in LREE with (La/Yb)cn of 11.36 to 19.77 and Europium negative anomalies with Eu/Eu* = 0.61- 0.74. The samples are characterized by negative Nb-Ta ((Nb/La)n = 0.18-0.35) and P, Ti, Sr anomalies and high Y concentrations (33.79-41.04 ppm) and low Sr/Y ratios (5.65-10.16). Their isotopic composition are similar to those of the Neoproterozoic mafic igneous rocks in the Ailaoshan zone and the southwestern Yangtze Block, indicating that the quartz diorite was produced by partial melting of mafic lower crust. The diorite also shows the similar geochemical characteristics with adakitic rocks from thickened lower crust or amphibolite and eclogite experimental melts. In combination with their arc-related geochemical signatures and synchronous developed adakitic rocks in the region, the Adebo quartz diorite pluton might be produced in a subduction-related tectonic setting during Neoproterozoic crustal growth along the margins of Yangtze Block.PostprintPeer reviewe

Preparation and Characterization of Mesoporous Zirconia Made by Using a Poly (methyl methacrylate) Template

    Get PDF
Superfine powders of poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) have been prepared by means of an emulsion polymerization method. These have been used as templates in the synthesis of tetragonal phase mesoporous zirconia by the sol–gel method, using zirconium oxychloride and oxalic acid as raw materials. The products have been characterized by infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, transmission electron microscopy, N2adsorption-desorption isotherms, and pore size distribution. The results indicate that the average pore size was found to be 3.7 nm

Well-dispersed Pd–Sn nanocatalyst anchored on TiO 2 nanosheets with enhanced activity and durability for ethanol electarooxidation

    Get PDF
Abstract(#br)Novel Pd 1 -Sn x /TiO 2 nanosheets catalyst with higher activity and durability for ethanol oxidation (EOR) was obtained by NaBH 4 co-reduction method in direct ethanol fuel cells (DEFCs). The electrochemical performance tested under alkaline conditions illustrates that the prepared Pd 1 –Sn 0.6 /TiO 2 NSs catalyst presents outstanding activity (3381 mA mg Pd − 1 ) and excellent CO anti-poisoning ability for EOR. Meanwhile, the residual current density of Pd 1 –Sn 0.6 /TiO 2 NSs nanocatalyst (1207 mA mg Pd − 1 ) is 8.5 times of the Pd/C (JM) catalyst (142 mA mg Pd − 1 ) after the durability test of 5000 s for EOR. Additionally, the Pd 1 -Sn x /TiO 2 nanosheets show prominent electrocatalytic activity in EOR comparison with Pd/TiO 2 nanosheets and Pd–Sn nanocatalysts. Thus, Pd and Sn doped in TiO 2 nanosheets not only display excellent electrocatalytic, but also reduce the cost of Pd, which have some reference value for DEFCs

Jiedu Tongluo granules ameliorates post-stroke depression rat model via regulating NMDAR/BDNF signaling pathway

Post-stroke depression (PSD) is one of the most common stroke complications, which seriously affects stroke’s therapeutic effect and brings great pain for patients. The pathological mechanism of PSD has not been revealed. Jiedu Tongluo granules (JDTLG) is an effective traditional Chinese medicine for PSD treatment which is widely used in clinical treatment. JDTLG has a significant therapeutic effect against PSD, but the mechanism is still unclear. The PSD rat model was established by carotid artery embolization combined with chronic sleep deprivation followed by treating with JDTLG. Neurobehavioral and neurofunctional experiments were engaged in studying the neural function of rats. Histomorphology, proteomics, and western blotting researches were performed to investigate the potential molecular mechanisms related to JDTLG therapy. Oral treatment of JDTLG could significantly improve the symptoms of neurological deficit and depression symptoms of PSD rats. Proteomic analysis identified several processes that may involve the regulation of JDTLG on the PSD animal model, including energy metabolism, nervous system, and N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR)/brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) signal pathway. Our results showed that JDTLG could reduce glutamate (Glu) level and increase gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) level via regulating the NMDAR/BDNF pathway, which may play a vital role in the occurrence and development of PSD

AimWe evaluated a novel treatment for obesity-related renal, an ATP-citrate lyase (ACL) inhibitor, to attenuate ectopic lipid accumulation (ELA) in the kidney and the ensuing inflammation.Materials and methodsAn ACL inhibitor was administered intragastrically to 12-week-old db/db mice for 30 days. The appearance of ELA was observed by staining kidney sections with Oil Red O, and the differences in tissue lipid metabolites were assessed by mass spectrometry. The anti-obesity and renoprotection effects of ACL inhibitors were observed by histological examination and multiple biochemical assays.ResultsUsing the AutoDock Vina application, we determined that among the four known ACL inhibitors (SB-204990, ETC-1002, NDI-091143, and BMS-303141), BMS-303141 had the highest affinity for ACL and reduced ACL expression in the kidneys of db/db mice. We reported that BMS-303141 administration could decrease the levels of serum lipid and renal lipogenic enzymes acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC), fatty acid synthase (FAS), HMG-CoA reductase (HMGCR), and diminish renal ELA in db/db mice. In addition, we found that reducing ELA improved renal injuries, inflammation, and tubulointerstitial fibrosis.ConclusionACL inhibitor BMS-303141 protects against obesity-related renal injuries

A Fully Flexible Potential Model for Carbon Dioxide

    Get PDF
A fully flexible potential model for carbon dioxide has been developed to predict the vapor-liquid coexistence properties using the NVT-Gibbs ensemble Monte Carlo technique (GEMC). The average absolute deviation between our simulation and the literature experimental data for saturated liquid and vapor densities is 0.3% and 2.0%, respectively. Compared with the experimental data, our calculated results of critical properties (7.39 Mpa, 304.04 K, and 0.4679 g.cm(-3)) are acceptable and are better than those from the resealing the potential parameters of elementary physical model (EPM2). The agreement of our simulated densities of supercritical carbon dioxide with the experimental data is acceptable in a wide range of pressure and temperature. The radial distribution function estimated at the supercritical conditions suggests that the carbon dioxide is a nonlinear molecule with the C=O bond length of 0.117 nm and the O=C=O bond angle of 176.4 degrees, which are consistent with Car-Parrinello molecular-dynamics (CPMD), whereas the EPM2 model shows large deviation at supercritical state. The predicted self-diffusion coefficients are in agreement with the experiments.National Natural Science Foundation of China [50573063]; Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University of the State Ministry of Education [NCET-05-0566]; Specialized Research Fund for the Doctoral Program of Higher Education of China [2005038401

Purpose: The Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope is China's first X-ray astronomy satellite launched on June 15th, 2017, dubbed Insight-HXMT. Active and passive thermal control measures are employed to keep devices at suitable temperatures. In this paper, we analyzed the on-orbit thermal monitoring data of the first 5 years and investigated the effect of thermal deformation on the point spread function (PSF) of the telescopes. Methods: We examined the data of the on-orbit temperatures measured using 157 thermistors placed on the collimators, detectors and their support structures and compared the results with the thermal control requirements. The thermal deformation was evaluated by the relative orientation of the two star sensors installed on the main support structure. its effect was estimated with evolution of the PSF obtained with calibration scanning observations of the Crab nebula. Conclusion: The on-orbit temperatures met the thermal control requirements thus far, and the effect of thermal deformation on the PSF was negligible after the on-orbit pointing calibration.Comment: 25 pages, 35 figures, submitte
