MSGCorep: A package for corepresentations of magnetic space groups

Motivated by easy access to complete corepresentation (corep) data of all the 1651 magnetic space groups (MSGs) in three-dimensional space, we have developed a Mathematica package MSGCorep to provide an offline database of coreps and various functions to manipulate them, based on our previous package SpaceGroupIrep. One can use the package MSGCorep to obtain the elements of any MSG and magnetic little group, to calculate the multiplication of group elements, to obtain the small coreps at any k-point and full coreps of any magnetic k-star for any MSG and show them in a user-friendly table form, to calculate and show the decomposition of direct products of full coreps between any two specified magnetic k-stars, and to determine the small coreps of energy bands. Both single-valued and double-valued coreps are supported. In addition, the 122 magnetic point groups (MPGs) and their coreps are also supported by this package. To the best of our knowledge, MSGCorep is the first package that is able to calculate the direct product of full coreps for any MSG and able to determine small coreps of energy bands for general purpose. In a word, the MSGCorep package is an offline database and tool set for MSGs, MPGs, and their coreps, and it is very useful to study the symmetries in magnetic and nonmagnetic materials.Comment: 23 pages, 7 figures, 6 tables, 1 supplementary materia

Third-order charge transport in a magnetic topological semimetal

Magnetic topological materials and their physical signatures are a focus of current research. Here, by first-principles calculations and symmetry analysis, we reveal topological semimetal states in an existing antiferromagnet ThMn2Si2. Depending on the N\'eel vector orientation, the topological band crossings near the Fermi level form either a double-nodal loop or two pairs of Dirac points, which are all fourfold degenerate and robust under spin-orbit coupling. These topological features produce large Berry connection polarizability, which leads to enhanced nonlinear transport effects. Particularly, we evaluate the third order current response, which dominates the transverse charge current. We show that the nonlinear response can be much more sensitive to topological phase transitions than linear response, which offers a powerful tool for characterizing magnetic topological semimetals.Comment: 5 pages, 5 figure

Background: Inhibin, beta A (INHBA) is a member of the transforming growth factor-β superfamily and is associated with carcinogenesis and cancer progression in several types of human cancers. However, its significance in breast cancer has not been evaluated. Here, we investigated the prognostic value of INHBA and its correlation with tumor-infiltration immune cells in the microenvironment of breast cancer. Methods: In this study, we analyzed the INHBA expression profile in the Oncomine database and Tumor Immune Estimation Resource 2.0 (TIMER2.0) site. Using Breast Cancer Gene-Expression Miner (bc-GenExMiner v4.7) tool and the UALCAN cancer database, we further evaluated the correlation of INHBA expression with clinicopathological factors in breast cancer. Then, we assessed the clinical prognostic value of INHBA using Kaplan–Meier Plotter and the PrognoScan databases. The correlations between INHBA and tumor-infiltrating immune cells were investigated via TIMER2.0. In addition, correlations between INHBA expression and gene markers of immune infiltrates were analyzed by TIMER2.0 and Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis 2.Results: Compared with the level in normal tissues, the INHBA mRNA expression was upregulated in different subtypes of breast cancer, and its expression was positively correlated with progesterone receptor, human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 status, and PAM50 subtypes but negatively related to age and basal-like status. The INHBA protein was also highly expressed in primary breast cancer and closely related to the pathological stage. Patients with high INHBA expression levels showed worse overall survival, relapse-free survival, and distant metastasis-free survival. Also, high INHBA expression was significantly associated with worse overall survival and relapse-free survival in positive lymph nodes. Of interest, INHBA expression was negatively correlated with infiltrating levels of activated NK cells, NKT, and CD4+ T cells but was positively correlated with tumor infiltration of CD8+ T cells, neutrophils, especially macrophages and cancer-associated fibroblasts. Moreover, INHBA expression showed strong correlations with various markers of monocytes/macrophages and cancer-associated fibroblasts. Conclusion: High INHBA expression is correlated with poor prognosis and the infiltration of immune cells in the tumor microenvironment. These findings suggest that INHBA may be involved in immune escape and can serve as a potential biomarker of prognosis and tumor-infiltrating immune cells

The value co-creation in automotive-3PL relationship management : A case study in Sweden

    No full text
Background: The discussion regarding value co-creation begins within the field of service marketing, it tells that the value is mutually created in process between the firms and the customers. And that concept has been developed further in many aspects, such as B2B context in which the knowledge intensive industry is involved. Many researchers have argued the importance of value co-creation and emphasized on the need of more studies within business practices. In this study, the particular automotive-3PL relationship would be added in to explore the empirical study of value co-creation. Purpose: The main purpose of the thesis is to study how value co-creation can be managed and achieved from the perspectives of 3PL providers and the users within automotive industry. Method: Through the qualitative research approach, the comprehensive knowledge, which includes the 3PL providers and users’ insights and undertaken behaviours behind the value co-creation is obtained after conducting eight semi-structured interviews in a case study. Conclusion: The results show that the value co-creation is actualized when 3PL providers and automotive users together actively participate in a certain process, in which the offering, interaction and learning are the core activities that should be maintained circularly. Furthermore, the high level of relationship commitment and trust should be sustained between actors

Design and Analysis of a Novel Flexure-Based Dynamically Tunable Nanopositioner

Various tools, such as biomedical manipulators, optical aligners, and ultraprecision manufacturing tools, implement nanopositioners that must be dynamically tunable to satisfy the requirements of different working conditions. In this paper, we present the design and analysis of a flexure-based nanopositioner with dynamically tunable characteristics for the implementation of a high-performance servomechanism. The nanopositioner is composed of four flexure beams that are positioned in parallel and symmetric configurations sandwiched between magnetorheological elastomers (MREs). The properties of MREs impart dynamicity to the nanopositioner, allowing the workspace, stiffness, and damping characteristics in particular to be tuned under the action of an external magnetic field. By utilizing elastic beam theory and electromagnetic field coupling analysis, kinetostatic and dynamic models of the proposed nanopositioner were established to predict the variable stiffness property and dynamically tunable characteristics. The models were validated by performing a finite element analysis. Herein, it is shown that the proposed nanopositioner model can actively adjust the trade-offs between the working range, speed, and sustained load capability by changing the magnetic field. The proposed dynamic tuning method offers new insight into the design of flexure-based nanopositioners for real applications

Understand how machine learning impact lung cancer research from 2010 to 2021: A bibliometric analysis

    No full text
Advances in lung cancer research applying machine learning (ML) technology have generated many relevant literature. However, there is absence of bibliometric analysis review that aids a comprehensive understanding of this field and its progress. Present article for the first time performed a bibliometric analysis to clarify research status and focus from 2010 to 2021. In the analysis, a total of 2,312 relevant literature were searched and retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection database. We conducted a bibliometric analysis and further visualization. During that time, exponentially growing annual publication and our model have shown a flourishing research prospect. Annual citation reached the peak in 2017. Researchers from United States and China have produced most of the relevant literature and strongest partnership between them. Medical image analysis and Nature appeared to bring more attention to the public. The computer-aided diagnosis, precision medicine, and survival prediction were the focus of research, reflecting the development trend at that period. ML did make a big difference in lung cancer research in the past decade
