Every gospel discovers the truth about God. St. Mark reveals Jesus Christ to us. Gospel shows us identity of Jesus, presents him, and with details shows his relation to his father. The title of this gospel is given by Mark himself, and at its very beginning appears the subject of Gods fatherhood.Mark focuses on the vision of the mission of Jesus. Presents with details showing chronology of events in Jerusalem, exactly showing also the relation between Jesus and his pupils. Firstly we see the picture of a person, than crucified Messiah, human son, and finally Gods Son.The article focuses on only two crucial moments of St. Marks Gospel: the description of baptism and the death of Jesus (the confession of centurion) showing Jesus as Gods son.Tradition perpetuates the belief that it is a work about Gods son. Mark shows it in the very first sentence. His baptism is a confirmation of solidarity of Jesus and sinners, but also climax in St. Mark Gospel. This moment convinces us that the mission of John the Baptist is fulfilled. In the direct closeness of the death of Jesus we see this happening emphasising the significance of what happened. The centurion ascertains a big change after the death of Jesus. It is also a condensation of a faith admission of commune into godhead after his death and resurrection.Mark admits just like Matthew extraordinary happenings that took place in nature after his death. The confession of centurion is shown similarly by Mark and Matthew. By introducing the centurions figure Mark shows the analogy between the baptism and the death of Jesus. Mark in his gospel speaks to those who are unfaithful and to those who wander. By reading marks gospel they can see that Jesus is alive and acts in reference to the Father. And at the same time we can see that alongside there exists the Father and the Son.Każda Ewangelia odkrywa przed nami prawdę o Bogu. Chcę pokazać, że św. Marek objawia nam Jezusa Chrystusa. Najpierw widzimy obraz człowieka, nauczyciela, dalej ukrzyżowanego Mesjasza, Syna Człowieczego i w końcu Syna Bożego. Wyznanie setnika Mateusz i Marek ukazują podobnie. Wprowadzając postać setnika, Marek wskazuje analogię, jaka jest pomiędzy chrztem i śmiercią Jezusa. Marek w swojej Ewangelii przemawia do niewierzących i do tych którzy jeszcze błądzą. Czytający więc Ewangelię Markową mogą zobaczyć, że Jezus żyje i działa w odniesieniu do Ojca, a jednocześnie możemy zobaczyć, że obok Syna istnieje Ojciec

50th anniversary of tragic death of father Idzi Mański in Tatry Mountains brings back the memories about this salesian, musician, composer, teacher and mentor. We remember his distinctive, complete personality, musical talent, someone with wide horizons looking at the world from perspective of humanist and priest. On that basis he appears above all as a composer of mostly but not only religious music. His unique charisma of artist – composer amazes and fascinates us being heirs to his talent, nobility, humbleness and transparent humanity. Father Manski’s work is in many ways a phenomenon on the scale of broad spectrum of publicly available artistic work in the area of religious music in Poland. Almost his entire artistic work is in the form of manuscripts, which he would loan, pass on or give them away, and some were lost. Predatory communist system was destructive for the culture. It would not only censure but downright not allow the publication of the work of writers, poets, musicians. Such was the reality that father Manski had to live in. Creative musical work: organ, choral – religious and secular on piano and other instruments belongs to a highly sublime creative work with characteristic workbench presenting ample contrapunctuate harmonics with perfect melodics embedded in harmonic constructions based on mathematical logic, in which we find charm, passion, and wide world of musical beauty. Twórczość muzyczna: organowa, chóralna – religijna i świecka, z udziałem fortepianu i innych instrumentów, należy do wysoce wysublimowanej twórczości o charakterystycznym warsztacie muzycznym, prezentującym bogatą harmonikę kontrapunktyczną z doskonałą melodyką osadzoną na konstrukcjach harmonicznych o podłożu matematycznej logiki, w której odnajdujemy urok, pasję i szeroki świat muzycznego piękna

Changes in the processing directions of round wood require the selection of raw material with appropriate quality and dimensional characteristics. In the case of large-size pine wood, these parameters translate significantly into its value and material indicators. The purpose of the research was to verify the currently applied classification principles with respect to the expectations of the market of wood industry customers. The research was conducted using the direct survey method, taking into account the structure of processing and sorting of production of wood industry representatives. The basic dimensional and quality groups for coniferous wood were separated, with wood defects assigned to them, in accordance with the currently binding principles of the quality and dimensional classification conducted by the State Forests. The respondents pointed out the necessity of changes in the minimum dimensions for wood of higher quality classes and changes in admissibility of selected defects in wood of lower classes.Promjene u načinu obrade trupaca zahtijevaju odabir sirovine odgovarajuće kvalitete i dimenzija.

Inverse solution to the heat transfer coeffcient for the oxidized ARMCO steel plate cooling by the air nozzle from high temperature

[EN] The inverse solution tests have been performed to the experimental data obtained during the oxidised Armco steel plate cooling by the air nozzle. The three-dimensional numerical model of heat transfer during the plate cooling has been considered. Steel products cooled in the air from high temperatures are covered with the oxide layer having significantly lower conductivity and a different surface structure comparing to the non-oxidised metal surface. The Armco steel has been selected as the experimental material because it oxidised in a similar way to carbon steels but there is no microstructure evolution process in Armco steel below 900oC. It eliminates in the inverse solutions serious problems caused by a latent heat of microstructure evolutions encountered during carbon steel cooling. In the present study the steel plate has been heated to about 900℃ and cooled by the circular air jet. The plate temperature has been measured by 36 thermocouples. The test of the selected inverse solution models involving a different number of degrees of freedom have been performed. The influence of the scale layer on the results of the inverse solution to the heat flux and heat transfer coefficient has been investigated.Scientific study financed from the regular activity of the Faculty of Metals Engineering and Industrial Computer Science of AGH University of Science and Technology.Jasiewicz, K.; Malinowski, Z.; Cebo-Rudnicka, A. Pandemic-specific protocols require additional time to prepare medical staff and catheterization laboratories. Thus, we sought to investigate treatment delay and clinical outcomes in COVID-19 positive and negative patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) treated with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) during on- and off-hours. All consecutive patients with STEMI treated with PCI between 1 March and 31 December 2020 were enrolled in the analysis. A propensity score match was used to compare COVID-19 positive and negative patients for on- and off-hours. The study group was comprised of 877 paired patients treated during regular hours (every day 7:00 a.m. to 16:59 p.m.) and 418 matched pairs with PCI performed during off-hours (every day 17:00 p.m. to 06:59 a.m.) (ORPKI Polish National Registry). No difference in periprocedural mortality was observed between the two groups (on-hours: COVID-19 negative vs. COVID-19 positive: 17 (1.9%) vs. 11 (1.3%); p = 0.3; off-hours: COVID-19 negative vs. COVID-19 positive: 4 (1.0%) vs. 7 (1.7%); p = 0.5). Additionally, a similar rate of periprocedural complications was reported. Patients diagnosed with COVID-19 were exposed to longer time from first medical contact to angiography (on-hours: 133.8 (±137.1) vs. 117.1 (±135.8) (min); p = 0.001) (off-hours: 148.1 (±201.6) vs. 112.2 (±138.7) (min); p = 0.003). However, there was no influence of COVID-19 diagnosis on mortality and the prevalence of other periprocedural complications irrespective of time of intervention

BACKGROUND: The presence of psoriasis is currently considered by the European Society of Cardiology cardiovascular prevention guidelines of 2016 as one possible cardiovascular risk factor. Patients with psoriasis and concomitant coronary artery disease treated by means of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) are a fairly large subgroup of patients that have been usually omitted in mainstream research. The aim herein, was to identify the incidence of psoriasis, baseline characteristics and periprocedural outcome with a special focus on procedural complications in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary procedures. METHODS: All consecutive patients who had either coronary angiography or coronary angiography with immediate PCI in Poland in 2014 and 2015 were included. Patients were assigned to two groups based on previous diagnosis: with psoriasis and without psoriasis. Clinical outcome was defined as any periprocedural death. RESULTS: There were 405,078 patients included in this analysis. Psoriasis (moderate or severe) was diagnosed in 1507 (0.4%) of them. Psoriasis was an independent predictor of allergic reaction occurrence (odds ratio [OR] 6.02; 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.44–25.22; p = 0.014). After propensity score adjustment, psoriasis remained a significant predictor of allergic reaction (OR 5, 95% CI 1.2–20.7; p = 0.0245). There were no differences in rates of periprocedural deaths in patients with or without psoriasis (death: 0.95% vs. 0.62%, p > 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Severe or moderate psoriasis is an independent risk factor for the occurrence of allergic reaction during percutaneous coronary procedures. There were no differences in periprocedural mortality and complications in patients with versus those without psoriasis

Background: A myocardial bridge (MB) is defined as a congenital anomaly, in which a segment of an epicardial coronary artery takes an intramuscular course. Aims: The aim of the study was to evaluate the prevalence of MB in coronary arteries among patients who were diagnosed using coronary angiography. Methods: Data were obtained from the National Polish Percutaneous Interventions Registry for patients hospitalized between January 1, 2014, and December 31, 2016, in invasive cardiology departments in Poland and divided into groups with and without MB. Results: The study included 298 558 patients. The non‑MB group comprised 296 133 patients (99.19%; women, 38.01%), while the MB group included 2425 patients (0.81%; women, 39.98%). The most frequent location of MB was the left anterior descending artery (n = 2355; 97.11% of patients). The MB group less often had diabetes (14.68% vs 21.63%), previous stroke (1.61% vs 2.96%), previous myocardial infarction (10.97% vs 21.97%), kidney disease (2.8% vs 5.04%), previous coronary artery bypass graft (1.03% vs 5.64%), previous percutaneous coronary intervention (13.20% vs 25.86%) than the non‑MB group (P < 0.0001). The incidence of acute coronary syndromes was lower in the MB group (P < 0.0001), while smoking was more common (18.76% vs 16.87%, P < 0.01). Conclusions: Patients with MB were younger and had fewer comorbidities and risk factors for atherosclerosis than patients without MB. The condition was more common among patients with stable coronary artery disease. Smoking and female sex appeared to be associated with a more clinically symptomatic presentation of MB

Background: Coronary artery fistula is defined as a connection between one or more coronary artery and a heart chamber. Aims: The aim of the study was to determine the overall incidence of coronary artery fistulas in Polish patients undergoing diagnostic coronary artery angiography as well as the frequency of particular origin and draining sites. Methods: The data were obtained from the Polish National Registry of Invasive Cardiology Procedures among patients hospitalized between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2016 in invasive cardiology departments in Poland. Results: The study included 298 558 patients. A coronary artery fistula was present in 261 patients (0.087%). There were 131 women (50.19%) and 130 men (49.81%). The most frequent origin of a coronary artery fistula was the left anterior descending artery (167 cases, 59.22%). The pulmonary artery was the most frequent drainage site for fistulas originating from the left anterior descending artery and the right coronary artery (84 cases, 50.30% and 25 cases, 31.65%, respectively). Fistulas originating from the circumflex artery most frequently drained into another artery (10 cases, 27.78%). Conclusions: The left anterior descending coronary artery was the origin site for more than half of all detected coronary artery fistulas. The pulmonary artery was the most frequent origin and drainage site for coronary artery fistulas
